I love their bakery items, especially their blueberry cream cheese scones which i ate so fast I couldn't get a picture. They have two sides since they're a market and grill. Inside you can find packaged products to take to go. There are leis and ice cream for purchase. They have bakery items like scones, cake, and desserts. They also have bento kind items like salads, sandwiches, pastas, chicken, etc. Then outside you can order take out plates at the window. The service inside and outside was very good, both were nice and friendly giving recommendations. We ordered the mix plate to try a variety. I liked that even though the salad had honey mustard dressing it wasn't a strong mustard flavor.

I had the gourmet teri burger and honestly... it hit every craving. The patty was juicy and perfectly cooked, but what really made it stand out was that rich, slightly sweet teriyaki glaze--super flavorful without being overpowering. You could tell it wasn't just slapped on; it was caramelized just right, giving each bite that smoky-sweet depth. The bun was soft but held everything together (major win), and the toppings were fresh and balanced--crisp lettuce, maybe a little crunch in there, and just enough sauce to tie it all together without getting messy. It's one of those burgers that feels indulgent but still thoughtfully made. Definitely not your average teri burger--this one leans more elevated, almost gourmet comfort food. Would absolutely come back for it.

I was alerted to this place by Honolulu Yelper, Jo Y. She had mentioned that they have excellent scones here. As I was checking out their website, it happened to be dinner time and I noticed that they had extensive lunch and dinner plates, so I decided to check it out! They're located in Kapahulu, right on the corner of Monsarrat & Campbell (enter on Monsarrat and exit on Campbell). There are quite a few free parking stalls available in front, but I'm sure that probably fills up during busy hours. Upon arrival, I discovered that you order the plate lunches outside, but you go inside the market if you want to purchase scones, deli items such as sandwiches, cheese plates, salads, drinks (including wine), desserts, etc. This would be a great place to pick up items for a picnic or beach day! I went inside the market to check it all out, but didn't purchase anything since I was there for dinner. There were only a few people in line outside ordering dinner plates. I got the miso ginger salmon for $19.85 - fresh seasoned salmon fillets splashed with miso ginger sauce. It came with rice (I chose brown rice) and salad with a honey mustard vinaigrette. It only took about 5-7 minutes before it was ready. When I first opened the box, I thought the salmon pieces were a little small. However by the time I finished my plate, I was full. The salmon was moist and tasty. I really enjoyed the miso ginger sauce on it. I also thought that the salmon went well with the salad and I loved the delicious honey mustard vinaigrette dressing. I will definitely return in the near future to try more items, especially their scones!

Today's Special BBQ Pork Sandwich was extremely greasy, and the onion rings were just as bad. The food was so oily that I couldn't even eat half of it. It was honestly one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a long time. The customer service was also disappointing. I definitely won't be coming back.

3.5* (yeah I know, the dreaded half star) Service: 3* Called in the order. Switched the salad dressing. Stated 2x. Confirmed 1x by woman on the phone. Luckily the salad container is clear bc could see the wrong dressing was given. Payments are not made over the phone so you have to stand in the ordering line to pay. Kinda defeats ordering ahead if need to wait in the line. Food: 4* Okinawan Sweet Potato Haupia Square: enjoyed the still crisp crust & yummy layers. Would buy again. 3* Lilikoi cheesecake: It was ok. The lilikoi is not in the cheesecake, only a the jam topping 3* Blueberry Cream Cheese Scone: Wish these style of scones were renamed to tea cakes or something. Only a dab of cream cheese. Pricey. 3.5* Mushroom Garlic Herb Chicken Plate | $17.00 Garlic-Herb Chicken breast fillet, Portobello Mushroom, caramelized onions & Roasted-Garlic Balsamic Jus. Neither chicken or mushroom are sliced so sauce not absorbed. Glad the green salad is included. 3* Miso Ginger Salmon Salad | $16.50 Fresh Salmon fillets, lightly seasoned & splashed w/our Miso Ginger Sauce, served on an entre-sized salad bed. The salmon was plain; disappointed they forgot the Miso Ginger Sauce.

Portobello mushroom, hamburger patty, greens and brown rice-$11. Pricey but tasty.

It's another, "Short attention span review" Chef Jason Peel has taken over the operations. The old favorites are still being served at the grill and in the market, especially the scones. There are some new offerings such as local okazuya favorites done the Peel way- these have been introduced via pop-ups probably to gauge interest. Guessing future pop-ups will give DHM a chance to intro new items that may become regular offerings. Worth a look.

    モンサラット通りにある有名店です。 サラダまでフレッシュでとても美味しいプレート屋さんだと思います。横のマーケットにも色々あり、楽しめると思います。また、是非とも行きたいお店だと思います。

Takeout dinner from Honolulu, Hawaii... Diamond Head Market & Grill has been around for a long time. I think I visited many years ago - that's why I couldn't remember that the entrance is on the Monsarrat Street side... and the exit is on Campbell Avenue... Oops! The Grill side is closest to Campbell Avenue. It's like a plate lunch place where you can get a hot meal. The Market side has refrigerated items like whole cakes, flower lei, canned and bottled beverages, sandwiches, wraps, slices of cake, etc. I got the Salmon Salad Wrap and Lemon Crunch Cake. Both were beautiful, fresh, and tasty! Service was pleasant! I told the woman behind the counter that it's so hard to choose... and that I'm thinking of getting a whole cake for the next birthday party. She suggested that I try a slice of something to make sure... great idea! Note: the handmade greeting cards were cute! They had little trinkets attached to them!

Update on Diamond Head Market went in today to get there famous Huge scones for some of my friends. I've notice they sell Fresh Leis ask the counter person how long has it been she replied almost a year now . I guess I haven't notice before . Prices are very competitive they have Pikake, Pukalani, orchids and other choices. Another place to pick up those last minute leis . Support local

TLDR: Going for a picnic somewhere or food to eat for the flight home? DHMG has a great grab n go lunch counter with the usual plate lunches (Loco Moco, etc) , but we come here especially for the bakery items! Our recommendations??? Get the Lemon Crunch Cake (served by the slice) and the Banana Scones!! You won't regret it! The crunchy toffee bits on the Lemon Crunch Cake is just sheer perfection. The Scones are MOIST and HUGE! Lots of other yummy cakes and pies by the slice here too. This is one of my absolute must-do stops whenever we are on O'ahu. We come here at least every other day whenever we are nearby! Easy angle parking out in front.

Hard to go wrong with Diamondhead grill. I love stopping by this market and grill either when I am at the beach or at Kapiolani Park. It's more of a drive up window with a parking lot so you can either eat your car or take it somewhere nearby, which I usually do. This time around I tried the garlic shrimp which wasn't bad although the rice this time around was a bit hard and the portion of shrimp looked on a smaller side, but still delicious. My partner got the Kalbi beef, which was a hefty portion on a bed of rice and very juicy. It also came with a side salad. You can't come to Diamondhead without accompanying a meal with some sweet treats from the market. I got the carrot cake, which was perfection as usual. Come, check them out if you want a No Frills mix plate that's definitely gonna hit the spot.

Taking about local plate lunches. This is it, very convenient location. Quick and easy in and out in you're always on the go. Take out only , no dine in. Right next door has the best scone and other desserts to Choose from. Good service and very friendly staff

Found a full sized German cockroach in the salad. Place already looks unsanitary and this just solidified my decision to stop eating here.

My father brought a huge corporate account to Cindys, which they made A LOT of money from. He had a personal relationship with the owners, which kept us loyal for decades. After my father passed, the company cut tie with Cindy's. I was devastated and didn't understand why. Cindy's always gave us the best service. Recently I found out why relations were cut. Cindy's has really changed and no longer provides the great customer service they once did. I placed a very important order for an event on the mainland to be shipped out and arrive a day before the event. I placed the order over a month in advance and was promised it would be just fine and well taken care of. Well, when the week of the event came, I called every day, multiple times a day, just to confirm everything. They won't answer their phones. I sent emails and messages through their website. Those also went unanswered. I even went to the store in person before work at 6am, nut it wasn't open yet. I had no way of getting in touch with them and wondered if they had shut down. I had to go on the faith that they have always provided us stellar service in the past. I was so wrong. Cindy's completely forgot to send my order at all, and left me without anything, the day before the event. The amount of stress I went through trying to find a florist on the mainland to provide lei was insane. Cindy's finally answered my many messages the day before. They said they could try to overnight my order that they forgot, but there were no promises it would get there on time, since the event was on a Saturday. I still have not been sent a receipt from them, which I asked for multiple times, or confirmation of the mailing. The lei did go, and my credit card got a huge charge, but without the receipt, I don't even know what I paid them for. And really, after all they put us through, they should have comped the order. My dad would be rolling in his grave to know how far downhill the company that he loved to support has gone. As for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I do truly hope they can get it together and grow back into the great company they once were.

Up until now, they've always done a great job, but this recent experience for Mother's Day was extremely disappointing. First, the delivery driver brought the wrong bouquet. I paid $209.41 (including delivery), but my mom received a bouquet that was clearly not what I ordered later confirmed to be a lower priced arrangement. I had to call customer service, who then contacted the driver immediately. While I appreciate that they responded quickly, it still took about 47 minutes for the driver to return, take back the incorrect bouquet, and retrieve the correct one from the truck. When the correct arrangement finally arrived, the presentation was still off. The vase was too short for the flowers, making the bouquet look unbalanced and like it was falling out. For over $200, I expected much better attention to detail and quality. On top of that, the company advertised "free delivery," but that only applied to very limited areas on the island. I still had to pay a delivery fee despite the initial mistake being entirely on their end, which felt misleading. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day. I've had good experiences before, but this one really missed the mark.
