First of all, we came ridiculously early, arriving at 8:15. The owner (I'm guessing based on demeanor and such) was surprised but cheerfully seated us, even pulling two tables together and getting a "trono" for the toddler we had with us. They had an English menu. The food was exquisite. Venison, lamb, bass, everything we had was amazing. The special menu was great, as you get 2 courses, a drink, bread service and dessert for €20. There were other option off the special menu. She even shared the recipe of one of the meals! Helped that we told her how much we loved the meal.
The ambiance is also charming, as there are exposed beams and coats of arms in the back room.
Highly recommended, especially if you are staying at the parador - right across the street and same if not better quality food for a lower price.
