I only reached out because the website suggests they do a full assessment of water intrusion and troubleshoot the best way to manage that water. This company does not do that. They push interior French drains. Don't get me wrong, if that's what you want, go for it (there are other companies that offer the same services). I wanted to actually remediate water intrusion long term and stop the degradation of my foundation (1910 poured concrete). Red flag #1 (see first picture): He said 'you could just bust out that wall to make more space'. That is the foundational wall supporting 3 stories. Can you even imagine what could happen if I did this? That comment is extremely dangerous. Red flag #2 (see 2nd pic): he doesn't know the difference between efflorescence colored by iron in the mortar and mold. He told me this was mold. Red flag #3: he does have a pinned moisture detector (kudos). He popped it on the cinder block wall extension of the house and said, 'oof 12% - that's not good, if it reads higher than 15 we wouldn't be standing here because the wall would be collapsing'. Then I made him stick it to the problem wall: 15.8%. The wall collapsed and I'm writing this review from the ER. No. That didn't happen. They are kind, they are polite, and it's mostly low pressure to buy. He said, "we don't really do exterior" and they would only recommend exterior if it was a new build (incorrect, a small fraction of time reading construction or engineering journals will demonstrate why these older homes with poured concrete are best addressed with exterior work and in reality most homes are better addressed with exterior remidation). But the place to start is on the exterior. Grade, gutters, downspouts. Don't get suckered into this thinking you just need a cheap fix (Baker's/Groudworkx is cheaper if you want an interior French drain). I want a long term fix that would stop my walls from turning to powder. If your person doesn't do a full assessment (outside and inside), turn them away. My fix for my home may be different from your fix. If groundwater/high water table is your issue then you absolutely need an interior French drain. And always remember, don't be cruel, some of these people are just doing their job (even if it is suckering you into a temporary fix).

And that contractor was right - Aqua Solutions was able to get our drainage system working flawlessly again. Ethan (the owner) and his assistant even did an outstanding cleanup job. And our basement no longer shows signs of moisture on the walls or floor. (We haven't been able to say this for three months! Finally!!) If you're not familiar with Aqua Solutions' work, perhaps you're on the fence about calling them for help. But you owe it to yourself to give them a shot. Not only is Aqua Solutions recommended by well known excavators in my county, Ethan's knowledge of this drainage niche is exemplary. We're very pleased with their work.
