Absolutely ridiculous. I would have rated much higher had they not decided to take out an extra $150 WITHOUT discussing it with me FIRST. My receipt in hand is for $600. They chose to pull out an extra $150 for a window that was damaged on their tow truck from the line breaking off (that he was in charge of, and had even told us it was possible he would break our hitch and he would not be responsible for which I agreed to). After the window broke I told Clay I would discuss it with him, after he found out how much it would cost. He told me he would let me know, and never did until AFTER the money was pulled from my account! He told me he was charging me the $600 recovery fee at the time, instead of the initial $375 BECAUSE of the window, so I assumed from the conversation that if it was grossly over that we could work something out which I was willing to do! However he instead charged my account for $750 WITHOUT discussing it with me!!! First, I know they have insurance as well to cover these kinds of things. Next, common business practice would say you SPEAK to someone BEFORE taking out however much you feel like from their account WITH NO AUTHORIZATION. They also go by another name, but it's the same company (posting this review on both). On top of all that when I called to ask about it, he said from now on if an RV gets stuck he will "just leave them"...... Real piece of work this guy is. Someone should cease this opportunity to start a tow business. I highly do NOT recommend. This could have been handled MUCH more professionally, but from the way it went I think I this is his normal type of behavior. PS anyone who would like proof of my receipt vs what they actually charged my account without my authorization feel free to message me. The entire incident and all exchanges at the time of tow were recorded on our security cameras on our rig, so I can't post it here. Clay- on a more personal note, I don't know you or understand the chip on your shoulder, but from the time you showed up I tried to be nice to you during a horribly stressful time for us. I even invited you to stay for dinner. I hope whatever turmoil is going on in your life gets better. But don't screw people over just because they are nice. That's low. read more

We were about to embark from Sun Valley on a 14 hour drive and my battery was dead. Of course it was on Saturday morning and I called AAA and they said they could not replace a battery that day. I called Dick York 's Auto Service and the most helpful person ever, Kurt, showed up. On a Saturday he came to our home, jumped my car, had me follow him down to the shop, opened the shop and replaced my battery. Very impressive customer service and super nice people!!! read more

Guys do awesome, quick work. I called on Christmas Eve at 11:30 PM expecting to leave a voicemail and the ANSWERED. They even came in to help me on a SUNDAY. Go to shop in Ketchum, cannot day enough good things about Juan and Clay. read more

AAA sent Troy to our hotel in Hailey, ID to tow my GMC diesel which broke down. Troy is a great guy with a great personality. He said he was a drummer in a local band. On top of that, he was very professional in loading and unloading my truck with great care. Where do you find that these days?? Since it's a diesel, he recommended a mechanic out of Bellevue, ID. While we're still waiting for the repair, I like that place he recommended (see review for Hillside Auto Repair, Bellevue, ID). If you need a tow in the Sun Valley area, ask for Troy!! Amazing friendly and fast service. Gave us road side assistance within five minutes and then saved our road trip. THE place to use.

We were on a camping road trip when the maintenance required light came on. Argh!  I found this place online. I showed up before they officially opened. I saw a guy, and he dropped what he was doing to take a look.  I had a cracked oil cap, which they were able to order and get in 90 minutes. He also noticed one of my reverse lights was out.  Heidi in the office gave me a cup of coffee while I waited, offered to let me use the wifi, and gave me great hiking tips in the area. ((The location given here isn't correct--the address is 12728 ID75, behind the Sinclair station)) We abused our car pretty badly going over mountains and brought it in for a brakes checkup, and they were able to get us in right away, got us out quickly, and were very fair to deal with. Terrific experience with these guys! They came quickly to help me jump my car. When it turned out to be the starter they towed me right then and there to the shop. They went above and beyond to get the part and install it quickly! Great customer service. Everyone was very nice and helpful, they made a bad day better!
