Opposite gate C6 at DFW I was looking at lunch options around noon and Dickey's Barbecue had decent pricing for BBQ, but it was some what hidden in the back corner of the food court, and was very quiet at a time that I noticed almost every other prepared food option in terminals B & C with long lines. That said the food court had comfortable seating with a nice ambiance and adult beverages being offered in this area. Not a bad meal option with food being catered to numerous Dickey's locations at DFW.

Quick place to grab a bite of delicious bbq while hanging out at the airport. The pork was fall off the fork tender and a nice smoky flavor and the portion was good. The beans were loaded with pork and had a nice bbq flavor however the potato was a big disappointment for me due to it tasting like mashed potatoes with a few chunks of potato and not much flavor.

My pulled pork combo was finger looking good, as barbecue should be. This was more like a fast food Dickey's. Although it read full service, I didn't see any wait staff, so I ordered at counter. My sandwich had huge hunkd of super tender, cooked to perfection pork. The coleslaw was also very good. They had table seating as well as bar seating, but as it was not quite 1100 am, bar was not open.

I thought since I have long 6 hour wait here before my flight in April 2025, I should eat something, so as I walked the entire length of airport and that took a very long time! This airport is huge! I decided this location which I later regretted and should have went to my other two choices instead like the other bar or bbq place. Oh well, now I know. I wanted one last taste of Texas Bbq and I decided in this chain restaurant. I seen this name in many locations around the USA and I thought might as well try it to see why they are just everywhere. Apparently they are from Dallas, Texas. But at this location the meat was dry, tough and did not taste good at all. There wasn't much business going on which should have been a hint to me to try the other places with more people. I told my friend about this when I went home and she said this is one of her favorite places and normally it tastes good. Ok I said, I will give them another chance in California to see if it is any better.

Our bartender Todd was amazing! We were craving a couple bloody Marys after our flight and to our delight you had BBQ style bloody Marys. Todd recommended we make it a double, and he was right. We each had two. They were perfect. When we closed our tabs he noted we were both military and thanked us for our service. Perfect service. Dickey's will be my new go-to in DFW for my future connecting flights, especially if Todd is at the helm.

We have been pushed all over this airport. We have a 5 hour layover and our gate changed 3 times! It could be more because we are still here. Welcome terminal C. Max and I stopped in for an order of wings. We got the sweet BBQ. Just for kicks, I clicked on the Signature drinks tab and my jaw dropped. They have Weller! For those of you who are bourbon lovers and can't swallow the price for a shot of Pappy Van Winkle, try the reserve. The Weller comes from the mash of the Pappy. I asked for an Old Fashion on the sweet side. The bar area is a nice size to enjoy some food and libations.

Another airport, another drink. Nice friendly bartender. One of the later opening spots at DFW offering grown up drinks before you connect to that late flight.

The brisket is okay dipped in bbq sauce. The baked beans are good. The Mac and Cheese is lukewarm. The beer on tap is good. This came to $37 and is worth $28.

We stopped at the Dallas Fort Worth airport for a quick drink and meal. Rekha Neupane took such great care of us. It felt like getting drinks served by my auntie. She made us feel like we were at home on a long trip. Thank you!

Came here with my boss before our next flight home. We sat at the bar and the server there seemed to not want to be there even though she took care of our needs. I just had a water and their 9 Piece bone in wings in their Sweet BBQ sauce and my boss had their Small Plate with Sliced Spicy Cheddar Sausage and sides. Our food came out in a pretty good amount of time. I tried a bit of the sausage and it was pretty good. The wings I had though, were really hard and dry even though they were covered in sauce. I still ate them though because I was hungry and I wouldn't have time to eat a meal when I finally got home to the east coast. I'm not sure that I want to visit another Dickie's.

Had a layover and figured I'd grab a drink to kill some time. Stumbled into a Dickey's BBQ--but this one had a bar. Never seen that before! Gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Gary, the bartender, was on point--friendly, quick with the drinks, and made for some good conversation. You don't always get that kind of service in an airport bar, so it stood out. My drink of choice? The Texas Mule. It hit the spot. The place was clean, had a solid atmosphere, and didn't feel like your typical rushed, overpriced airport joint. If you're passing through and need to unwind, it's worth a stop.

For airport BBq, it was really good! The server helped me right away and cut up the meat that was ready. When it came to the fried okra, he made it fresh. This location, in terminal E, is nice since it has their own seating inside. It allows them to sell alcoholic beverages and host you with their BBQ ambiance. They offer 3 bbq sauces. I tried their spicy and original but they offer a sweet one. I thought the two I had were great! The spicy wasn't too hot, for those sensitive to spicy. The pulled pork was done to perfection but the pork ribs were a bit over dine. They both had great flavor, nonetheless. If at Dallas Fort Worth airport and have time, stop by terminal E to grab a bite!

Took this home with the family to share. It was okay. The pulled pork was good. I was excited about the ribs but was not pull off the bone and you really need to put bbq sauce to make it tasty. I like tasting my ribs without the sauce cuz you could really taste the meat on the rub, but this one you need to have a sauce. I just wanna say it was just a bad batch but idk. Service is okay as well.

The food was served cafeteria style and the seating reminded me of my high school lunchroom. I did not mind the setup; it was just unexpected. The first stop was at the pit master to choose the meat and I made sure to tell him it was my first visit. I got a juicy chopped brisket there. The next stop was where I chose my bread (I again mentioned that it was my first visit) and the person there recommended that I get the jalapeño bun and it was really good. It was not too spicy and added a nice flavor to the sandwich. He also suggested the street corn and the macaroni and cheese and I enjoyed those as well. I had a sprite fountain drink which did not taste that great so I got the sweet tea for my refill and that was really good. All the food was really good and there was plenty for me to take back to the hotel. I liked the fact that they had to-go containers and bags readily available so I didn't have to go back to the register to ask. I didn't try the peach cobbler until a couple days later but it was really good as well. I would definitely dine here if I am in Texas again and I highly recommend this restaurant. Everyone I spoke to was really nice and helpful throughout my visit. There were people walking around and checking on everyone and one disposed of my tray/trash while I was getting a refill and another brought the to-go container and bag to me since I did not see the spot where they were situated. It was a great start to my visit.

I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.

When I was about to pay, I grabbed one of the banana pudding cups. My intent was to sample the sides before I had the brisket. After the first bite of the squash, I could not stop eating. Half the squash was gone by the time I started on the beans. The beans were just as scrumptious. The brisket was okay. A significant amount was dry; not too dry to fetch the barbecue sauce. The jalapeño corn bread provided more flavor than heat. Finally, the banana pudding was also okay. There were enough sliced bananas to cover the bottom of the cup. If it meant smaller sized wafers, I would have preferred more pieces. Fortunately, the pudding itself had a strong banana flavor.
