It's away from the old city and has a lovely ambience. It's mostly people in town who come here and unless you knew about this place you are not likely to find it. They have a few different beers and I had the pils which was great. Served in a special glass it tasted great. I had to have a second one ;-) The menu here is Bavarian food and it's average. I wish they served good Hessen food here :-( Getting good Bavarian food outside of Bavaria is a challenge and it never tastes the same. Terrible. Bad food, abysmal service, even the beer is just so so. Been there three times and it…read morewas just awful ever time. I ordered food and they never brought anything. Twenty minutes after they brought my friend's food we asked and they said oh ok then did nothing. Finally they brought an ice cold dish and were rude on top of that. Another time I tried to order at the bar and they guy behind the bar just kept staring at me as I repeated several times 'Kann ich bestellen?" How are they still in business?

I had the schnitzel with fried potatoes and was a bit put off when the waitress said "we dont have that" when i tryed to pimp my meat of veal with some herb butter...... Hmm i have had hundreds of schnitzels in Germany and have never not been able to get the chef to blend som butter with Spices even though its not on the menu. Maybe the waitress didnt know that herb butter consists of butter (normally in a restaurant kitchen) and herbs or and spices. On top of that the potatoes needed tons of salt and the schnitzel was crazydry. Not even the herb-butter or better service could have saved this meal. Decent beer and ok prices though.
