The servers and, I believe, the owners seemed to know everyone. We speak only rudimentary German and only one young woman spoke a bit of English. But we were still treated great. We muddled through the menu with what we knew and some guesses and a bit of help with Google translator. My wife went with the white asparagus risotto while I ordered one of the specials which we paired with a bottle of Riesling. Now to be fair I knew I was ordering a meat per the German word "fleisch". But I didn't recognize the type. Well "sülzfleisch" it turns out was a type of headcheese, home made, with a sauce on the side and baked potatoes. I was surprised but dug in. Both dishes were excellent! Great food and relaxed atmosphere. Worth stopping by.

The pasta is a bit overpriced but everything is in a good price range. One can sit outside when the weather is good. The food is above average and it's worth going to the place. In 2010, the staff changed and since the service has been really poor, especially on a Saturday afternoon. On my last visit, I waited 15 minutes before I could get the menu from an overstressed rude waiter, then 15 minutes later I was still waiting to ask what the day menu was or the dish of the day - and he told me angrily that he didn't know. Since the seating I had was uncomfortable, I took my hunger elsewhere. I was disappointed and won't go back.
