I used Bob Reeves and Genene Baker at Dierschke & Dierschke for many years as my property management. I won't post a scathing review here because that would be quite long. Many illegal tenants were living in my property. I still get mail for people who weren't on the lease. I have renovated and moved into this property. One of the long time tenants (there were two) didn't even sign the lease. After having lived at this property for a few years now, I've learned the horrifying details of what went allegedly down there. The place was a premiere methamphetamine house. An AC technician told me that he had serviced the HVAC several times, and he said it's one of the worst "druggie" places he had ever seen. Neighbors and contractors were all happy to provide written statements on what they saw there. Genene Baker evicted the guy (after I investigated). The damage was BEYOND disgusting. I never knew a person could do that sort of damage in such a horrifyingly disgusting manner. It cost me $16,000 at minimum. I was told that Bob Reeves was absent during a good portion of my time at Dierschke and Dierschke. Photos of the damage were taken. Those photos were printed out in black and white. The digital copies were deleted. Genene Baker said that she didn't have color or digital copies. I can't use resolute language here, but I believe Genene is the one that did this. I spoke extensively with a couple of Attorneys regarding damages for this nightmare, but I ultimately decided, at the council of the second Attorney, not to do this. I was a young guy when I bought these properties and let some things slip through the cracks. Honestly, I'd never hire a PM in San Angelo again. Those are some main points. To conclude, I'm lucky that nothing very serious happened there. Recommendations to Investors, tenants, et al: Beware. Stay away from Genene Baker. Rely on alternative options. read more

Do NOT lease from this property management company. Maintenance requests and repairs are untimely. Limited communication and involvement from the staff for move-in and move-out. We completed a move in checklist of deficiencies and took pictures. Upon move-out, we were invoiced fraudulent charges. In an attempt to resolve the differences, we requested itemized receipts of actual repairs and requested a meeting to review the move-in checklist and photos with their list of repairs and photos and they declined to meet in person for a resolution. read more

Where do I begin?!? Moving in has been a nightmare. If your a home owner I would not recommend Dierscke and Dierschke to manage your property! I am a renter and getting things fixed has been a nightmare! The maintenance people they hire will blow you off. We keep trying to get an update of when they will repair stuff and they say they have been trying to reach us which was a lie! and when they come out they do a lousy job of fixing things if I was a home owner I would be upset of how the house is being destroyed from repairs they do since it's half ass and the bare minimum. It takes days for maintenance to come out! When we moved in we didn't realize that the stove didn't have an outlet to plug in it took over two weeks for them to repair this so I had to buy fast food everyday which became expensive for 5 people. The kitchen sink was leaking, both bathrooms sink leaking, and bathroom shower leaking inside the walls. They came to fix it said it was fixed and it was not they had to come out again for the second time. For the third time we put a request for shower pipes to be fixed again and now there is major damage and it flooded all the way down the hall we called emergency line and for three days no one came out and I called repeatedly and still no one showed up I had to call the City of San Angelo water department to come out to turn off the water so my 4 kids, husband and I had no water for two days. Mold was growing and the bathroom smelled bad, water was coming up from the floor boards In the hall. When the maintenance worker finally showed up on a Thursday he just put mold blocking primer and said he was going to get paint then never came back for until Tuesday. My bathroom still smells moldy. I also had a leak in the wall form the washer the maintenance cut a hole in the wall and left the mess. Never repaired the wall then finally a week later from us putting a request to repair it they came and just put four screws in the board to cover the hole. Our AC was not blowing cold air they had someone come out we also explained that no air blows in the kitchen and living room turns out the vent is crushed like a soda can and air can't get through to the living room and kitchen still waiting on that to get fixed. Our fridge is leaking water so they replaced it with a smaller fridge from someone they bought off of Facebook market he showed up to the house to deliver the fridge and meet with maintenance man to pay him. The fridge was dirty and I had to clean it. It took 5 days for them to replace the fridge. I am currently renting a property with y'all. I have been calling for weeks to try to get information about renewing my lease and cannot get any assistance. I've called multiple times and have gotten voicemails and was told that the property managers are not available. The times I have talked to someone, they take my information and say they will reach out to the owner and get back to me. It has been a full week since I have talked to someone and still no response. We've decided to look elsewhere. So, I want to leave a formal notice that we will be vacating the property at the end of our lease. They over charge for rental applications, the house we looked at was ready to be rented but missing paint, missing chunks in the fire place, rat droppings in all the drawers in the kitchen. The staff act like they're going to approve you then "suddenly" find something wrong to discredit your application. They do not contact you with your application being unaccepted until you're calling about it. Then once you have them on the phone they're highly unprofessional, and they have unlicensed staff. Overall horrible experience and will NEVER rent or purchase a home from these people. read more

We used Dierschke & Dierschke as a property manager (Aaron specifically) on our home in San Angelo for 8 years. They where wonderful. As a military family, it was nice to have a local company there with our house when we couldn't be. We never had to worry. If something happened, Aaron told us right away. Such a great experience with zero regrets. We decided to sell our house a few months ago. Aaron again assisted with everything. From listing, to repairs, to showings, we never wondered if they where on top of things. Our house has now sold and he are so happy with everything. I can't recommend D&D enough. This is exclusively for the so called Realtor who works for this company with 25 years of knowledge supposedly. Ya 25 years of suck ass customer service skills. My family and I used to rent from this slum lord. We moved in and first it had rat crap all over the counter in kitchen. This house we rented should be bulldozed to the ground, I feel sorry for new tenants. Another issue was when we moved in the previous persons belongings were still in the closet. We noticed that it sounded like there was a leak in the walls coming from the bathroom, we tried to report this issue and it was ignored. Then the city noticed on the water meter there is a leak and actually cut our water resulting in it being billed over a thousand dollars. We got them to adjust the rate. The slum lords response ?! Turn the water off at the cut off valve when not using it !!! Wtf!!! The hot water stopped working we report that nothing !!! The AC stops working in the hottest part of summer we get told just open the windows it's not that hot !!!! We had small children in the house at the time. The kitchen floor was creaky and the wood under it was most likely rotted. Felt like we would have fell through it. We finally moved out of this trash of a house. Our old next door neighbor told us they had water leak issues previously with old tenant and that black mold was found in bathroom along with a snail shell the size of a fist was clinging to the wall, the leak was never repaired previously. Idk how this company would be associated with someone like this but that being said I'm glad we moved on and won't have to deal with this again!!!! read more

My disabled mother in law lived in a property managed by them for several years. Her efficiency apartment was about 90 degrees every summer and she made multiple calls for them to fix it. Eventually they got her a new window unit and it was smaller, it was hotter in her home, and not visually pleasing because the gaps had to be filled with foam and glue. I was disgusted they would allow someone to live in conditions such as hers, and being disabled she didn't have adequate means to move until recently. read more

I bought a house in San Angelo back in 2009, which I lived in until December 2011. My now husband and I were transferred to Colorado Springs, and we decided to rent out the property. I decided to contract with Dierschke & Dierschke with Genene Baker. She was extremely nice in all my dealings with her...but oh was that going to change. Usually every month I would get a statement in my e-mail when Genene had deposited money into my account. No statement came through and it was the middle of the month. I contacted Dierschke's office and got Bob. Bob forwarded me a copy of the statement, where I saw that there was $200 missing. When I asked what this was, he said that it was the charge to fix the clock on the oven. It apparently had a short. I asked why they had not used my homeowner's warranty. He said there was nothing about a homeowner's warranty on my contract. I've had a warranty on the house since I bought it and had given the information to Genene at signing. So instead of paying $60 for the clock to get fixed, I was out $200. There was no offer to compensate me at their error, just a "Sorry, we'll make sure it's on the contract." In September, it rolled around to about the 10th of the month and I still had not received my rent check. When I asked Genene what was going on, she said the renter's girlfriend had moved out and he thought she had paid the rent. Ohhhh kay...so it took 10 days to figure it out? The renter ended up paying that same day, so I let it go. Except this continued on for the next two months. Each time I got a different excuse, such as that he was an oil field worker and didn't get his paycheck on a regular schedule. Not really my problem, you're an adult, you need to budget. Finally in November I called Genene up and asked what the deal was. What was the next step with this guy since he was so non-compliant. I also asked about pictures of the house, since I was worried that since he wasn't paying his rent, what else was we doing or not doing. I got my head bit off for even daring to ask about pictures. "There's nothing to report!" And about the money she basically told me I needed to expect these things and that she was well aware I wanted the money to pay my mortgage. I sent her a nicely worded, but definitely pointed, e-mail letting her know she needed to let me know every month when the renter was late with the rent. Common courtesy, seriously. And I also let her know I needed pictures to ease my mind about being two states away from my property and worrying about the condition of it. I never received the asked for pictures. She did half-way apologize for being short with me on the phone, but she used the excuse that they were just so busy because it was the first of the month. Right. The next few months were uneventful. The renter at least was on time with the rent after November, but I had already made the decision after my dealings with Genene there was no way I would let Dierschke profit off the sale of my house. In late March/early April some of my friends told me that due to the oil boom going on in the city, now was a great time to sell. So I went through USAA and got in touch with a realtor and decided to go with him. He asked me to contact Genene to see if the tenant was under a lease, since I wasn't 100% sure.about it. I sent her an e-mail and she said that he had signed a new lease in January for 12 months. I told my realtor this, and he said while it limited who could buy the property, he thought there was still a market for it. He contacted Genene to find out who the tenant was so he could set-up a walk through. She contacted me the quickest that she ever has the next morning at 8 am. I knew exactly what she was calling about and let her stew over it for a few hours till I decided to deal with it. First words out of her mouth, "Well Bob and I got a call from this realtor about selling your house. I thought Bob and I were going to sell it for you?" Nope, we never discussed that and I chose to go with someone else. All she said was thank you and hung up. I'm running out of space, so to sum up: My tenant was month to month, NOT in a lease (I have the e-mails to prove this), his girlfriend moved out in July, NOT September, and he wasn't an oil field worker but he worked at the DeadHorse. I didn't care where he worked, as long as he wasn't making/selling drugs in the house and he paid his rent! I'm supposed to get $145 back out of his deposit for the $400 I had to spend to make the yard presentable. The tenant apparently was too good to get the yard maintained. It's been 9 days since they told me I should receive it; still nothing. I actually contacted Norman Dierschke and told me all of this. All I got was the typical, "Sorry if we did something wrong" but no follow-up. I definitely feel like Genene took advantage of the fact I'm not from there and I was out of state. HORRIBLE! Worst Property management team I've ever dealt with. The Property management team at D&D(Larry Edgerton and Sandy Caudle) talked a good game when we initailly decided to have them manage our property, promising us monthly statements, that we would be notified before any repairs that were needed unless they were emergency repairs, and that they would personally check on the property often. Well after 3 years of them breaking every one of thoses promises I've had it and changed proprty managers. After the last tenant moved out that D&D had leased my property to, I told them to tern the keys over to another real eastate company, once I actually got a real proprty manager in there that knew what he was doing I soon discovered that my house had suffered from just the three short years under D&D's management. Carpets were stained, door facings were damaged by some kind of animal scratching them too pieces (I was never told that any of my tenants had pets, even though that was also promised to me so that I could decide on a case by case basis if I wanted pets in the house), the repair job on tiling in the bathroom that D&D's handyman had done was falling apart, the filter in the Air Conditioning unit looked like it had never been changed and obvious water damage to the wood decking that the AC sits on has made the unit unserviceable, the dishwasher racks were rusted out, and just to add insult to injury the yard was left a total wreck. Did I see a penny of the last tenats security deposit? NO! Did D&D give me the courtesy of a final walk through of the house? Obsiously not, even though they surely took their management fee for the month. Did I get a final statement yet more than 30 days after they released the property? nope. Whenever you call to complain they immediately fall abck on the tried and true line of "Well, you know we have a lot of properties to manage." Honestly, if you can't do a good job because you manage SOOO many properties you either need to manage less properties or get more personnel to handle the work, but D&D has done neither. If you're going to rent a property, or have a rental property you want managed, LOOK ELSEWHERE! read more

D & D has managed our rental properties for approximately 2 years and we are very pleased. Bob & Genene have rented the properties for us for very good money and have kept them rented.
