I enjoyed my meal here. The setting is small with few seats and kind of self served but not. Had a chance to try faro for the first time and I love it! So many places have opened up similar to chipotle but better. You choose your base (faro) then your two sides (broccoli and roasted carrots - so good) next your protein (grilled chicken - a little overcooked) and topped with a dressing (garlic aioli) or go naked. Either way, this place is a winner.

Great spot for a quick, healthy bite near Times Square, with good options for vegetarians and vegans! I love that the bowls and sandwiches are customizable, the nutritional info is on the website, and the tofu is so flavorful and well-seasoned!

Our food was delicious! My Custom with Protein bowl was grilled chicken, Parmesan cauliflower, cashew kale, and avocado - everything was so flavorful. My husband was a big fan of his Crispy Tofu Sandwich Combo with Mac & cheese. We would get food from here again, no doubt! The ability to create a custom bowl leaves one with so many possibilities. Plus it's relatively affordable given today's food prices.

Known for its seasonally-inspired bowls made with farm-fresh ingredients, Dig is a healthy alternative to most other fast food/fast-casual restaurants. You can choose from their pre-made bowls or build your own, selecting one base and three market sides (either 1 protein and 2 veg sides or 3 veg sides). We chose to build our own bowls and shared the protein and veg sides. * Charred Chicken Marketbowl We went with brown rice for the base, charred chicken for the protein, and roasted sweet potatoes and charred broccoli with lemon for the veg sides. The brown rice and roasted sweet potatoes were honestly delicious, but the charred chicken was far too dry (albeit nicely roasted with spices), and the charred broccoli was incredibly bitter, practically burnt not charred. * Wild Alaskan Salmon Marketbowl We again went with brown rice for the base, wild Alaskan salmon for the protein, and sheet tray carrots and charred broccoli with lemon for the veg sides. I'm not a salmon or fish kind of gal, but my sister enjoyed the salmon. We shared the carrots and I have to say, for someone for hates carrots, the carrots were nicely seasoned and spiced, and the lemon flavor really shone through.

I love that Dig offers healthy and tasty alternatives to fast food. Everything here is always made fresh and is very filling.

Ordered here for pickup. Easy website and didn't need to place order a a guest for pickup. A friend recommended knowing how much I love these bowls- Mediterranean- like meals. Ordered the charred chicken, 1/2 grain, 1/2 greens bowl. Added avocado and three sauces: garlic, pesto and rosemary vinaigrette. Pick up as easy- ready on the shelf clearly identified. Meal was delicious but it's too small for $14- more like $10. Chicken was plentiful but the sides needed a little more increase. I had the broccoli. This is 1/2 rice, 1/2 salad greens. Cutlery was requested and visible on the printed receipt, but not provided. It was tasty though, so I may order again or just go to Cava across the street.

As we had our cocktails we discussed going somewhere else as the vibe was flat. But my husband convinced me to stay as it's already 8:30. We head upstairs to our table, only to be greeted by another less enthusiastic server. He never told us his name or offered up any menu highlights. I was excited to have bone marrow and escargot. Both failed epically. The bone marrow was inedible as it was like cold custard. Escargot had zero flavor and a real lack of garlic and good butter. Tasted more like vegetable oil than good butter. We shared the lobster pasta entree. Tasted more like Mexican goulash. No Italian flavors to be found in the sauce. Never once did the nameless waiter stop and inquire about our meal. Just all around a poor experience and a disappointing Friday night. There are far better places that appreciate your patronage. We will not be coming back. Not worth it.

The host came across as indifferent / borderline rude, which set the tone from the start. During dinner, when our second round of drinks arrived, the server seemed unsure where they belonged~even though the original glasses were still clearly on the table. The food itself was fine. The standout dish was the lamb tartare, which was excellent, and to be fair, everyone's meat was cooked exactly as requested. Overall, it was an okay meal, but based on our experience, it didn't quite match the level of praise suggested by the reviews.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

The bartender knew the drinks inside and out and was able to make some good recommendations. We had the Profunda and two of us had the Imprimatura. Creative, thoughtful, balanced! We also ordered spiced nuts and half a dozen oysters, which were fresh and tender. The bar area was modern and lovely so we were almost reluctant to depart when our table was ready! However, that reluctance dissipated when we entered the bright and airy dining room. It felt like we were eating in a very upscale greenhouse! Great natural light made for a relaxing atmosphere. We opted for the 3-course menu as we had plans to tour the museum afterwards and couldn't fathom doing so after the 8-course tasting menu! We also did the add-on wine pairing. Initially, we were going to order a bottle of wine but the wine list is 150 pages long, and why tie yourself to one varietal? Before the meal even began, we enjoyed 2 amuse bouche offerings; a fish confection and jamon serrano on crackers We started with the eggs on eggs on eggs - completely worth the supplement; unctuous, umamai, decadent. A symphony of flavors and textures. Since there were 3 of us, the server thoughtfully brought out 3 toasts so we could easily share. Before the "real" food started arriving, we were also brought a marble loaf and light, airy butter. Two of us started with the chilled lobster starter; one had the white bean cappelletti. The white beans were the standout! The garlic flavor was a beautiful compliment to the meaty morels without being overpowering, and we were very glad for the marble loaf to soak up the sauce! While the lobster was super fresh and the dish executed perfectly, the lemon was a tad overpowering. The bartender highly recommended the chicken; however, two of us opted for the sea trout and one had the pork. I didn't sample the pork, but the sea trout was velvety and rich, with a beautifully scented saffron broth. To finish, we had the dark chocolate cremeux (complex, adult, DANGEROUS!), the yuzu gelato (fresh and tart!) and the deconstructed carrot cake (cozy and familiar). A note about the wine - Isabelle the sommelier was a true standout! She chose some unusual pairings that worked perfectly with our meals and explained in good detail about each wine and why she selected it. In addition to having a perfect pairing, we also got some good educational enrichment. Isabelle is clearly passionate about wine and her selections and service really added to the meal. It's one of those restaurants where you feel very well taken care of from start to finish, and the space itself has a lively, polished energy that makes every visit feel like an occasion. The food, for me, is a bit more mixed. There are a few standout touches I really enjoy, especially the butter service and the bagel service, which always feel fun and well done. The French onion soup was memorable the first time I had it, though I've since had an even better version elsewhere that raised the bar for me. Some dishes land better than others. The Caesar salad is fine but not particularly memorable, the pasta dishes are generally okay, and I didn't love the artichoke dish, which felt a bit tough and underwhelming. The mac and cheese also didn't quite hit for me and felt a bit heavy without much payoff. That said, I can absolutely see the appeal of this restaurant--especially the experience, the atmosphere, and the service. My friend particularly loves the fries, which seem to be a consistent favorite. For me, it's a place I enjoy when I'm invited and treated, especially for those little signature touches like the butter service.
