Very cool store. They have an incredible selection of gear. There are 3 floors.The first has parts percussions, and about every effect pedal made, the 2nd amps and electric guitars. and the 3rd for acoustics. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. If you're traveling and just need to pick a little this the place. If you're looking to buy gear, their prices looked very reasonable and they have everything for the beginner to the professional. Enjoy!! read more

There are two storefronts. One is for keyboards. They have a nice selection of Korg, Roland, Yamaha and Casio keyboards. There were two salespeople in here and three other customers. One of the salespeople greeted me and was friendly but busy. The other was just busy with another customer. The customer had that air of elitism and snobbery about him. I asked the salesperson where the guitars were and he said that they were in another shop two doors down. I walked down to the other store that had the guitars. Now I was looking to buy an acoustic. I was hoping one would jump out magically and talk to me. The display window was a mishmash of stuff all guitar related with some guitars. There were mostly electrics with a few acoustics in the store on the first level. There were more guitars on the second floor. It felt like heavy rock n roll with Marshall amps and hard bodies all hung around. No magic here for me but I'm sure plenty have found more than some twinkle there. read more

Great collection. Very helpful staff. Great experience! Went to buy a new acoustic guitar. There was plenty to choose from, even though having restricted my interested to the Eastman brand. The staff was not pushy; I felt I had all the time in the world to cycle through the same couple of guitars again and again until the was able to make a choice. Additionally I need to get a new microphone; something I don't have a lot of knowledge on. The staff was able to help me reach an informed decision and I got home with a great sounding guitar and mic! read more

I was just browsing in the shop with keyboards with a friend and sharing stories and telling them with a piece of music. One if the shop owner decided that we were too noisy (it was only two of us, piano playing, and some laughter) and if we weren't going to buy anything we should get out, so we did. Extremely rude owner, only caring to make a profit rather than building rapport of the customers. Unfortunately this is much more different than the guitar shop. read more

We were visiting from the US and I have a theory about guitars: there are lots of good guitars. Great guitars. But a couple of times in a lifetime, you'll come across "the one." It will feel like it just belongs in your hands. And you never know when that will happen. It won't necessarily be a really expensive guitar. But it will be "the one." To find it, you have to try a lot of guitars. But once you find that guitar, you must buy it. You will regret it if you don't. We stbled across Dijkman Music and while I did not find the one, the owner and staff allowed us to play to our heart's content and literally pulled guitars off the wall and stuck them into our hands. It was awesome. The only reason we ended up here was because of how poorly we were treated across town at Dirk Witte Music Store across town. My son and I went into the store and started to play some guitars. A store staff member came to us and said the jam session was over and took the guitars out of our hands. I don't think I've ever been treated so rudely in a music store. I had been to Dirk Witte on a previous visit to Holland and purchased some accessories. I will never go back. But I won't hesitate to go back to Dijkman. read more
