Ahhhh, sometimes I miss 'smaller'/'small' towns, especially the Dillon's stores. The ones in the Kansas City area were nothing like those in central and western Kansas. The rest of Kansas has great Dillon's stores...clean, brightly lit, well laid out. This store is either brand new or recently remodeled. I stopped by on a Saturday evening on my way out of town to grab something to drink and a bite to eat. The parking lot left a LOT to be desired, but that could have been colored by the people who kept criss crossing in front of cars through the aisles of the lot. Store: HUGE!!! Employees: Friendly, helpful, genuine Selection: Not bad; I didn't have time to explore the health food section, but Hy-Vee does beat them in this category hands down. Check out: Easy, quick. I like how the new Express lanes say "around 15 items". ;) You can have 1, 10 or probably 20 items without any problems. read more

13th & West location Wichita ks. It's late need some eggs. They have several different brands on sale, but the signs are hard to tell what is what, like normal. I figure out this one brand is a pretty good deal. I ring them up but does not register the sale price. SO I get ahold of the attendant, she cannot find the sale price, goes to the front desk they cannot find the sale price. SO I follow that guy across the store to find the price tags. He says your right. So the lady tried to ring it up on the sale price, finally get thru all the hoops but bombs on my credit card. I told the lady Walmart is so much simpler and she replies you only need to know what your doing. Ha ha, finally I just said i'm done she replies good bye. I swear every time I go there there is a problem right at the end of checking out. I watched and this lady was just bouncing from one register to the next as they all were bombing out. Drove a couple of miles to walmart but it was worth it. read more

The store manager is a liar. When I walked into the store there were no shopping carts. This is a normal occurrence at this store. The manager was upfront talking to "3" employees and I told him that there were no carts. He responded, as well as several of the other employees, that someone was outside getting carts. I finished my shopping and still no carts. I walked to my car, scanning the lot, there was no one getting carts. THIS MAKES ME EXTREMELY MAD THAT ELDERLY PEOPLE HAVE TO WALK BACK OUTSIDE WHEN IT IS FREEZING TO GET A CART. read more

After moving to Wichita from Houston, TX, where Kroger is the name of the store, I've managed to navigate this store and is generally my go-to, it being close to my home. I've had relatively mediocre check out service in the last 4 months, and today was no different. Besides the cashier having a personal conversation with a coworker and not paying attention to me as the customer, I also had the pleasure of a down-in-the-mouth sacking person who looked so bored. Forget any chit chat to be polite, although not a requirement to obtain employment. Not paying any attention to the items being lumped together...cold with no other cold, boxed goods with cans. My question is, do grocery stores not train any longer? Hopefully, management reads reviews and gets to work on these types of issues. read more

There are some Dillon's I enjoy visiting more than others. This one is the closest one to me, but not the first one I choose to visit to grab what I need. The staff is friendly and great just the store needs some additional updating inside. I noticed it is one of the few Dillons that has a cop inside as you walk in which makes me feel safer that they are doing so but not as comfortable knowing that other Dillons stores don't need the cop. At least he there rather then not there at all. Keeps things in line for if there are future problems. One thing Dillons has done well at is mimicking the quality of service provided from 1 store to another along with freshness & quality of the products they sale. I stop in here about once a week and will continue to do so because it is so close to home and overall has most of the things I need. read more

We went to dillons after waiting inside for a couple of weeks, Not only did they have paper towels and toilet paper but they had all we needed and was so kind. Nice to be able to get what is needed and be treated well at this horrible time. read more

Watch out in the Pharmacy there is a new Manger there by the name of Rick and he is argumentative with the Customer and your Doctor. A real knuckle head. Have spent thousands of dollars at this Pharmacy and in the past everyone has been very helpful including the Pharmacist George who was the best. Tried to work this out with the store Manager Mike Walch and he was clueless and appeared he was afraid of Pharmacist Rick. He accomplished nothing. This stores inventory has become more of a convenience type rather than a full grocery store. Am sure Kroger might be having plans to close this place some time in the future. Hate to see is happen as it is only a block and a half from my residence. In any event use the Pharmacy at your own peril! read more

This Dillons is Huge!! It has about a third larger footprint that a normal store. A huge staff is on the floor as well and they are friendly and helpful. They even have a sushi bar. It's a couple of miles away from the store I normally go to but worth the drive because this store has so much to offer. read more

I don't know why but the employees are somehow always managing to with hold some of my groceries or items. Just a few days ago I had to go back with my reciept because my chicken wasn't in the bags. I think this is a marketing scheme to make you go back and buy more items the next day when you pick up your forgotten item, how to know? I also think they overprice. I can go to walmart and pay half then shopping at dillons. I do like their selection of expensive organic food. :sigh: read more

I had a so-so experience followed by a great experience, one right after the other. Due to a recall a team member at the deli counter said I was out of luck for the large submarine sandwiches. Fair I guess, but I was picking up lunch for a class at SE High School and did not want to disappoint them. Patricia to the rescue, she took bread from another area and whipped up four subs fast. Dillon's has been around since back in the day the food is safe &clean as their store the price is fair and services are safe I remember when they started security when the 24hr service started so they always seem to know what's up since back in the day read more

The selection at this Dillon's is better than other ones I visited but the staff are not great. I have visited here dozens of times and have repeatedly encountered rude staff. I refuse to shop here now. read more
