Dimassi's is a great casual place with something for everyone. The food was delicious and filling. The atmosphere is bright and modern. It's not a place I would want to come for a romantic dinner, but it's great for single people and families or office lunch. They came up with a great way to enjoy a buffet during a pandemic. Now the management needs to make sure all the guests follow the guidelines. Of course, you are required to wear a mask when not at your table. Before you get your food, you sanitize your hands and then put on a pair of disposable gloves. Next, you pick up a plate and help yourself to the wonderful selection of food. The food is beautifully displayed and easy to access. Once you are ready to eat, you sit down at your table and enjoy your feast. It's pretty simple. If you go back to get more, you need to put your mask on, put on new gloves, and get a fresh plate. Here is where the management needs to step into the experience. They need to be the mask and glove patrol. Diners need gentle reminders to follow the protocol. My first time at the restaurant, we were shone what to do, and the host behind the register reminded us to get a fresh plate. He offered to get us more bread or a second helping, so we did not have to put on our hazmat gear. The last time I went, things did not run as smoothly. The young lady at the cash register was friendly enough, but she did not attempt to show guests the correct serving procedure. She was preoccupied with her cell phone. I noticed one guy going for seconds without his mask or gloves. A family followed him in line; they wore masks but did not know about the gloves. A more attentive host could have easily helped everyone. I might suggest that children not help themselves; the parents or an adult should serve the plate. Let the child look but not touch until they get back to their table. The host could also offer to get more bread or seconds or refill a drink. Finally, the person at the cash register needs to be more attentive. Perhaps engage with the customer. She hardly looked at me as I checked out. I think it's right to charge for excessive leftovers. I was surprised the gal charged me for my leftovers. I paid an additional $4 for three pieces of cauliflower and a bit of shredded beef. Perhaps if the leftovers weigh less than a pound, charge the customer a $1 for a container fee. Like all restaurants, the consistency of the food is key, as well as great customer service. read more

Best place I've found so far to eat Mediterranean food. My first visit was today and I got so much good food for only $10. I was able to buy my dinner for tonight and the rest I will have for lunch tomorrow. My only suggestion is that they put more bulger wheat in the tabbouleh. Otherwise, paying per pound and getting the health benefits of the food popular in the Mediterranean, you can't eat better than here. I will be a repeat customer 3 or 4 days out of the week, you can't eat this well at home. The tabbouleh was so fresh and crunchy in a good way. I can't wait to taste the lamb and basmati rice and the 2 grape leave I have left. I literally couldn't stop eating what I bought for tonight's dinner. More as it occurs. I didn't see 2 items, pistachio and honey baklava and pita bread.... but then I was mesmerized by what I saw if it was there I didn't recognize it. I rarely give out 5 stars but you can't beat the selection of food, the freshness and the healthy aspect of the culture. Eat here ... you will be back! They have plastic gloves and hand sanitizer that you use to select your food and great re-useable plastic containers to take it home, or eat in. The dining area is spacious and clean as can be. This was a pretty good meal. Very good buffet. It has a lot of items. As far as dealing with covid I think they do an excellent job. The staff is wearing masks and gloves. You wear masks through buffet line until you sit down. They provide gloves for you to wear while you select from the buffet. There is hand sanitizer as well. Very clean, buffet and whole space including bathrooms. They place a nice jug of hand sanitizer and box of food gloves at the start of the line, pleasant signage and all participated. Way more choices than often on a buffet, but middle eastern with flavorful but not overpowering differences as expected between items. Not all Zatar overload as other places. Salads at the start, sauces for your choice of even 3 humus and baba ganoush. Several veggies including great eggplant long slices, grilled cauliflower and stewed okra. Then come the several meats, much chicken with various cooking methods and spicing, as well as of course lamb gyro in preferable variety of cook crispness for their fresh raised pita. And weekends(check) they have the lamb shank included asked from the kitchen as desired. Then comes the desserts, baklava of course, and a layered pudding with good flavor. Tamarind and Rose Water in addition to the usual beverages. Go when you are interested in a variety of flavors or maybe a heaping couple plates when hungry. Cost for a wonderful meal, beverage, dessert, and all for about 13 weekday to 16 or so weekend adult pricing. Pleasant helpful staff. Large groups can slide tables together as desired, smaller tables are around, and unless way full, distancing seems suitable even around and back to the buffet for a fresh plate... What a great place! Everything is so clean and new. The food quality and variety were excellent. All very fresh. The staff were attentive to customer's needs and keeping things clean. I really loved the variety and quality of the dishes for the price. Went there for lunch and had lots and lots of different salads, veggies and meats for only $13. Dimassi's did this plant based persons heart good. So many delicious vegan options. All the food had ingredients listed. And it was all delicious. Probably the best pitas I've ever eaten. Four of us ate there together. Two omnivores, two plant based. We all left with very happy tummies. If they served alcohol it would be perfect. read more

I ordered takeout on the Web. If I had seen the food before I left the restaurant I would have sent it back. The meat was dry, burned and obviously reheated. The pita bread was burned and stale.
