Not just a 0 or 000 guard fade, an actual skin fade. Most people can't blend and keep the lines square. This man, he's an artist and definitely can. "Old School" barbershops are few and far between. Shouldn't be considered a…read morepublic business, but more or so a private hair styling club primarily for friends, family and MAYBE a few others if you don't mind overpaying for decent service and agree with their absurd cancellation policy, which wouldn't be so bad if they also held themselves accountable for communication and online booking. My problem was simple and could have easily been avoided if anyone cared about honest business practices and accountability. As a new customer and one who has had bad experiences with other barber shops and states the issues and even asks the right questions so there are no Issues moving forward, there are no excuses to when things go wrong. If I was told to book online AND follow up with a call to confirm I would do so even if I believe that booking online should suffice and it is the responsibility of the barber to check his account for bookings. When you have your cancellation policies plastered all over the place and website and you charge a full haircut I get excited because I am an extremely punctual person and that means the barber is ready for me. Definitely not the case, I booked online and the only spot available was like 4 hours later and the barber decided not to accept it 40 min prior and sent me a message on the app 30 min prior to not show up but the app didn't notify me and it appears the slot was given to a friend/family or maybe a close regular according to body language and communication. That showed me that despite expressing my concerns and asking the best way to book an appointment, that wasn't the case and it also showed me they don't hold themselves accountable and should've contacted me via phone or email or maybe just had the common sense to check your online appointments. Instead you are like every other shop that started small and got bigger moving to bigger location, your forgot your roots, your original values and cherry-pick your customers and make it all about money and boot licking. I'll just go back to driving 45 min to Delaware or Philadelphia where I can get an amazing cut for a decent price.
