Yes! My favorite Chinese restaurant in Makati Philippines. Their dumplings are fantastic. All freshly made. All delicious. Staff is always efficient and pro active. They're is always a line during rush hour. I recommend coming at 11am... soon as they open.

Came here at around 4 pm so we were able to get a table. We ordered several items to try and they were all good except for the pork hop on fried rice. I probably will not order that again. As expected, the truffle mushroom was the best. Ambience was cozy since it wasn't packed yet but could get loud once more customers come in.

Din Tai Fung's food never disappoints. The only disappointing part of this location is their customer service. The food is always good. I often order my food to go, because I just dislike having to wait to be seated. If you want to avoid the long waiting list, come to this place on a weekday. The line for lunch is much shorter than their lines for dinner. If you order your food to go, be prepared to sit outside for about 20 minutes. If your intentions are to order food for take out, then I would call 0919.084.5370, and the food is usually ready in about 20 minutes. I kept receiving a recording when I tried calling their landline number. I decided to try something else other than their Pork and Roasted Garlic Xiaolongbao, Salted Egg Yolk Prawns, Garlic String Beans (with extra garlic), Spicy Dumplings (with the sauce on the side), and Pork Chops (without the rice), and Chocolate Lava Xiaolongbao. This time I tried Golden Lava Salted Egg Yolk Buns, Black Lava Buchi and Mango Sago Pomelo. Yes, I decided to have 3 desserts. Since I happen to love salted egg, I enjoyed the salted egg yolk buns. I was trying to imagine what it would be like to eat it with Peking duck. Since some places serve Peking duck with bao. If you're a black sesame seed lover, then you'll enjoy the Black Lava Buchi. The Mango Sago Pomelo was a very refreshing dessert.

Food was ok. Didn't find that there was something special about this place. Service was quick though. The inside very spacious and bright. I would go somewhere for noodles and dumplings.

Food is a little bland. Green beans was cold. XLB no soup. Chili paste crab pork bun had weird flavor. Service was meh, robotic. Everybody seemed tired. I confused this with Tim Ho Wan oops. Not the best sorry.

    It's all about the condiments.

This is apparently a new location for DTF located on the 2nd Floor of the Glorietta 3 outdoor shopping complex just above the Starbucks that has to be one of the most happening night time spots in the area. True to DTF concept, they have the digitized check in system for a table and plenty of windows for you to watch the kitchen staff through as they make infinite numbers of little dumplings by hand that look amazing as you are starving. Lol, made me want to lick the glass! DTF has the consistency down. I have eaten at some of their branches in 5 different countries and I would swear that I could not tell any of them apart. This one is no different. They must have a tremendous on-boarding and training program in order to be able to carry this type of consistency out despite different local customs, workers, food influences, etc. I am amazed by this attention to detail and they definitely get kudos for that. The menu is the same as it is everywhere with a large amount of choices. But the signature soup dumplings are their flagship product and they were as good here as they have ever been. Judging by the massive crowds outside waiting for tables, I would say that everyone else believes that as well. I did note that there were just as many international visitors as there were locals waiting in lines for tables so don't expect this to be a purely local experience. Visitors and locals were elbow to elbow at tables inside pressing the flesh with the common goal of a good meal. Pricing is on par with every other location I have visited but that means it is expensive by PI standards. Also, this place is jam packed crowded and thus pretty noisy. The staff is polite but clearly on a mission to get you in and out quickly so the reason you come here is for the food, not for an intimate date, a business meeting, or as a place with the intention of hanging out for a long time socializing. I didn't see any of those things taking place and it would have been interesting to see a table try it just to watch the international incident develop that I'm sure would have happened. If you are a fan of DTF or Shanghai style soup dumplings and are in the area, go here. This new spot will not disappoint.

Love this place, that I went there 3 times. I live in Las Vegas, so I was happy to finally visit here. It's difficult to get reservations to the one in Las Vegas. Staff were super friendly, food came out fast. Love everything about it!!

Could it be a change in ownership or tax troubles? Who knows. The important thing is that they still deliver the same quality of food that made them famous. The whole restaurant is unassuming. It is small and doesn't look like much. For all intents and purposes, it's basically a turo-turo. This is where all similarities end, as the food is completely different. If this is your first time, I suggest going with the house specialty, the hong ma. It is a sizable bit of braised pork belly. Don't you dare remove the fat when you're about to eat it. It's part of the experience. This dish is really rich and decadent so I don't recommend eating it all by yourself. Share it with someone lest you get a heart attack after.

It took me completely off-guard when they just turned around and changed their name from Feng Wei Wee (not sure why; it's not like they tried very hard for a new name). The menu consists of simple homemade Taiwanese cuisine that feels as if your very own Taiwanese grandmother cooked for your family. I won't lie, when my grandmother has a potluck party and she has no time to cook, she asks me to run over to Fong Wei Wu to order their food to bring as her dish. She manages to pull it off every single time. Sometimes I wish I could cook that well and get away with it. My go-to orders would be their Kiampang (Adobo fried rice), and Angsho Chicken Leg.

Ersao is one my staple foods when I'm at the office. Their mix of affordable and accessible (they deliver!) makes it one of the go-to places for lunch. Outside, the place looks very unassuming. But the food is great. The spicy chicken and spicy squid make for good snacks and go well with rice. Their pork or kuchai dumplings make for a good side or main dish. And the yakult green tea is perfect for hot summer afternoons - not too sweet, not too sour, and very refreshing. And it's amazing how the sauce for the chicken and squid is also the one for the dumplings. While they do deliver, I would recommend dining in because they have an assortment of condiments not available for delivery - like lemon and seaweed powder. Overall, a great snack of meal.

They have a couple of beverage lines like Milk teas, fruit shakes, Yakult mix drinks and the likes, but I stick with either the Mango or the Avocado, with or without pearls. But thats just half of the story. The other half? The food. I love their fried Spicy Chicken and Spicy Squid, with an array of different flavored powders (I recommend chili powder and plum powder combo!) to make your snack more exciting! And their dumplings are great too! (A tip for moms or solo-dwellers, you may buy them cooked, or packed and frozen, ready to boil for an easy instant meal anytime!) Yes mom, I can live without it, but I would be miserable.

Such was the case when I first tried Hot Star Chicken. We were heading home, and because of traffic along EDSA, we got to the area at around 9 in the evening and decided it was too late for us to still make it home for dinner. We looked around and it was one of the very few establishments open. Famished, my dad and I ordered one each, with me getting the barbecue flavor while he got the original one. We were very hungry, but boy, we were shocked when our orders arrived. The chicken was huge! Not wanting our food to get cold, we dug in. I was very happy with mine, a bit sweet similar to how Korean chicken tastes. Given the Filipino's innate love for sweet food and the value for money in this more-than-enough meal, I'm pretty sure Hot Star will be a "hot" item in the lists of foodies and will receive stars in their hearts and tummies.

The specialty is, as mentioned, large. Light eaters may want to consider sharing, while those with larger stomachs to fill will likely be satisfied. Be warned, though, the rice included with the meal is on the small side, so order an extra one (or two) if you don't want to risk feeling unsatisfied. Hot Star can get full at night, especially on weekends and when there is an ongoing event at the nearby Mall of Asia Arena. To avoid disappointment, drop by at an off hour or be prepared to wait a while. The ambience is pretty much fast-food standard, but more cramped than most. There is an outdoor area where smoking is frowned upon, although you can take a few steps to one of several nearby ashtrays. If your meal leaves you feeling a little too stuffed, there is an actual running track right outside, so slowly walking off what you just ate is a definite (if somewhat unconventional) option. If you do, expect a lot of real runners and dog walkers beside you.

We didn't get seated right away tho considering there were only about 4 tables occupied. Didn't greet us at the front and just waved us in. The waitress who took our order (I think her name is Elena, this was January 12, 2020 at 9PM) looked kind of pissed off. I was asking her what the seasoning was for Three Cup Chicken and I didn't understand her the first time (I was sick and my hearing wasn't at its best) so I asked her to repeat it and she looked as if rolling her eyes at me was the only thing she forgot to do. Anyhow, we ordered the Spicy Wanton and the Three Cup Chicken and some plain rice. The food got served pretty fast but the waitress didn't give us any utensils to use. The other waiter, RJ, noticed we haven't started so he gave us utensils. The food was pretty good. I liked the Three Cup Chicken a lot. I also got the Yakult Green Tea which came in a huge plastic cup. We noticed RJ, the waiter was the only one really working in the establishment. He's always on the go and always helping out customers. There were 3 more people out there but he was very consistent and quick and refilled our water so we gave him a tip. Kudos to RJ. He is a really good worker. Y'all should make him a manager. Will come back for sure. Gave them 5 stars cause RJ made it a good experience,

For the sake of trying out new restos, I gave this one a try recently. I was surprised to see that they serve Taiwanese street food favorites and traditional dishes. Their menu looks wonderful and made everything looks so delicious. Unfortunately, we skipped the street food fare because I was with my parents-in-law who are not very adventurous for a dinner. However, we did order Xiao Long Bao, Beef Tendon in Pot, Red Roasted Eggplant, and Hot Prawn Salad. We tried ordering the Kiampong (Chinese Fried Rice), but it was out of stock. Their Xiao Long Bao, for me, is by far, one of the best I have tried. The skin is very delicate and melts in your mouth. The soup inside fills up the bun and is very flavorful. The meat is soft. The other dishes we ordered are normal but cooked well. I am hoping to try their night market favorites next time. Just made me miss Taiwan all of a sudden.
