He ignored my statements and questions of concern....finally just outright ignored me....I used google to diagnose myself and get help. 4. Cat Scan also revealed large growth in right lung...Northwell doctor set up additional scans, biopsy....had to wait 8 months to get biopsy...growth doubled, no concern. 5. Biopsy negative for cancer, probably infection, Northwell doctor wants second biopsy, had to wait another 5 months!!! Not concerned.. 6. So far 14 months from time of detection growth to treatment/antibiotics...NO TREATMENT 14 MONTHS. 7. Northwell biopsy surgeon staff , 2x said they would contact me for procedure....NO CALL for months...lost in the shuffle I assume. 8. However, my experience with the other receptionist, a Black woman with braids at the front desk, was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. She was rude, dismissive, and lacked basic compassion for sick patients. It is honestly shocking to see someone in healthcare behave this way. She spoke to me with an attitude for no reason and acted as if simply explaining something was too much work. When I addressed her behavior calmly, she responded with "shit, I'm human too," even though I did nothing to her. It felt like she was trying to provoke me and then use her position to talk down to patients. I have been in healthcare for 13 years, and I can confidently say people with her attitude should not be working in patient-facing roles. Healthcare requires patience, empathy, and professionalism, qualities she did not show at all. What is worse is that when I looked through other reviews, multiple patients have complained about the same receptionist. That tells me this is not a one-time situation. She behaves like this because she keeps getting away with it. CityMD needs to take this seriously. Send someone undercover, retrain her, or consider if she should really be representing your facility. Patients deserve better when they come in sick, scared, and needing help.
