Last week went for a massage with a Korean lady called Hana (Hannah) and the massage was so rough and hard she had no idea on how to read a customer. The massage was so hard that I was moving and jumping that she did not even ask if I was ok or if it was too hard so the massage could be adjusted. I complained to the reception and all they could do is appologise. Even the extra service she became tired and complained her arms where getting sore and in the end gave up and said time is up. Then here's the catch, don't pay by card, they slap on a 10% surcharge. I wanted my comlaint to be escalated and all they said was they are sorry and accept the feedback and Jacob the manager would return a call to me. To this day almost a week after no return call. The massage itself was so hard that I ended up with buising for days. Avoid this business, they do not care about customer service, and it appears it's about money more than professionlism.

You will need to ignore the white noise from the centre and whilst the girl I had was far more enthusiastic than some she was pretty green in regards to experience. The tables are very firm and narrow. Good news is that with the heavy use of towels you want leave feeling like a seabird in an oil slick. If you want a simple rub down head on in. If you want something of use keep walking. They do cards,contrary to the sign at the counter preferring cash, and you can use your health fund as well. Not sure we will return with so many options.

I was able to move it more freely with less pain. I had no idea what a professional massage was like but after this experience I have been back many times. They knew exactly how to fix me, no matter my ailment, and as the masseuse was an acupuncturist and herbalist as well, I trusted that he wasn't just kneading my muscles aimlessly, but knew the right buttons to push. I found this out on one particular visit to see Edward Chen. I came to see Mr Chen with a back injury (he specialises in sports injuries as well as herbs, acupuncture, massage and reflexology). My back had worsened and worsened until I couldn't bend to pick up a glass, let alone tie my shoelaces. I explained how I got the injury to Mr Chen, who in turn explained to me what he was going to do. "At one point you will ask me to stop," he explained. "I won't. I will keep going to fix you." I agreed without hesitation. As potentially frightening as this line could have been, I trusted Mr Chen and by this point was getting desperate. He was correct - at one point during the massage, with one thumb in a point in the back of my leg, I let out a scream and began crying hysterically, asking him to stop. This only lasted 10 seconds, but it was intense. As I calmed down, Mr Chen explained to me that the pressure point was also an emotional trigger - thus the crying. Leaving the massage room at the end of my session, I entered a room full of now apprehensive clients - I dare say I would be apprehensive too if I heard desperate pleas and screams coming from a room I was about to enter. My back was perfect the next day. Even now as I live in Lilyfield, I will travel to Ashfield for a massage from this man. I've never cried or been hurt again, so don't fear - this isn't a common experience. He has magic hands and the prices here are notably lower than at most other massage and/or acupuncture clinics in the city (full body massage for only $45). Highly Recommended.

The initial consult and treatments (prior to producing my MRI report) was 5 or 6 needs stuck in my leg, a heat lamp turned on for 15 - 20 mins directed at my leg and Dr Wong absent from the room, attending other patients in this time. Then pay and book in again. The big issue occurred when I got my MRI which spelt out a Grade 1 Strain in the first line, but in the body of the report and conclusion highlighted a serious muscle tear and bruising to the bone where the ligaments have pulled on the bone. Dr Wong's advice here was to start doing some hip and muscle stretches as well as leg movements to over work the damaged area. The result of this was my entire leg and hip locked up and standing, lying down flat, coughing, literally any movement became excruciatingly painful and sleep just didn't happen for me anymore. Upon my last visit to highlight how the stretching had made things so much worse, I asked if he could use acupuncture to release the newly locked muscles, to which he said he couldn't and advised alternative stretches instead. This according to my Sports GP and Physio was yet again the complete wrong advice. I later went to emergency to review the ongoing pain I had in the area to find that not only was there additional muscle damage, but due to the acupuncture, I had a huge infection/abscess in my hip, groin & leg as well, which resulted in me being hospitalised, undergoing several sessions of surgery and being on IV & oral anti-biotics for weeks. To add insult to this injury, when I tried to claim these visits with my Health Insurance (HCF) I was informed that this business was not recognised by the HCF Group for this service, so I couldn't claim for any of my visits. I am not aware of how good/bad the massage therapy is for this business, but if you have an injury and you are looking to seek help for it, avoid FMT Traditional Healing like the plague.
