I appear to be suffering the same negative and stressful experience as many others after purchasing from Direct Car Sales in Thornaby from, as it turns out, the not so 'honest & friendly Angus. I was assured any problems would be rectified and if unsatisfied could choose another car.well the car was returned after only 2 days due to significant pulling to the left, smoke coming out of the engine vents and intermittent loss of power..resulting in my being stranded in Whitby (Direct Cars wouldn't help). Two days later, I was given a 'courtesy car' and collected my 'all mended' Peugeot 2 days later.
This wasn't the end.the car continued to pull to the left, intermittent loss of power, which almost caused me to have a serious accident and then the 'Emission control system warning light came on'.
I returned the car again, only to be told Angus wasn't working but reassured could change car if not happy. But needed to speak to the said Angus first.
Returned to garage again todayBIG Change of personality in Angus.big style!!!!!!! He is now refusing to change the car, despite previous promise, accused me of lying as the car is' perfect'well I'm sorry Angus, but my time is precious and if the car was roadworthy I wouldn't be wasting my time coming to see you, now would I?
According to the manager of Direct Cars, they don't provide courtesy cars, as not insured to do so which means Angus, that the Ford Mondeo you loaned me for 2 days, the first time car was in garage was illegal as I was not insured to drive it.
As the car is intermittently cutting out, my management won't let me use the car for work, which means I could be out of a job very soon. A job that I work very hard at and love. So thank you for causing a lot of anxiety and distress Angus.
Oh and finally the mileage between the alleged service (no paperwork), that is stamped 1/8/ 2014 and the MOT 12/8/2013 do not tallyhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :///////////// read more
