Fence and Plus LLC…read more Contacted Sonia, owner of Fence and Plus LCC for a fence quote including a front gate. She immediately set up an appointment and was early to our appointment. She was polite and very professional; explained their services to me in an easy way. Within a few days, I had my quote and it was very competitive with the market. I did my part (submitted the necessary paperwork to my HOA and within a few days my HOA application was approved). Sonia and her team got to work immediately, got county permits and make sure all service lines were properly marked. On May 1st, her team showed up at my home and did an amazing job. Rafael (the other owner) was here to install and explain each step to me. They triple measure my property to make sure they were right where they needed to be; installed everything, added cement to each pole; cleaned everything after them. The front gate took a bit longer as it had to be custom built. Rafael came back a couple of times to make sure the measurements were perfect and on May 25 & 26, the homes front gate was finally installed. Overall: it was a great experience; very happy with the whole teams professionalism and workmanship. Emilio, the installer, was great!!!! Super happy with the whole team and highly recommend them!!

He provided a formal estimate the next day. I also received estimates from two other companies. Robert's Fence Mall estimate was within the estimates of the other companies. I chose Fence Mall because of outstanding reviews and Robert's attention to detail. The installation crew arrived on time, with all the necessary materials and expertise. Within several hours the doors were completed and properly installed. They did an excellent job. The doors are well built, very sturdy, and high quality materials. Before any materials were ordered or work began, we submitted the required application to our HOA for approval. Unfortunately, the HOA denied the request and would only approve a black metal fence. As soon as I received the denial, I contacted Fence Mall and explained the situation. Since I specifically wanted a vinyl fence, I decided not to move forward with the project and requested my deposit back. They agreed to refund it, but told me they would keep 35% of my deposit as a cancellation fee. $600 To my knowledge, no materials had been ordered and no installation work had started because everyone was waiting for the HOA's decision. Despite that, they kept approximately $600 from my deposit. I understand that businesses need cancellation policies, but charging such a large fee before any materials were purchased or work was performed is unfair. I was unable to proceed due to circumstances outside of my control, and I don't believe keeping hundreds of dollars in this situation is reasonable. Specially with todays economy I hope Fence Mall reconsiders how it handles situations like this, because it left me feeling like I paid $600 for absolutely nothing. I encourage anyone considering using them to carefully read the cancellation terms before signing a contract. Or just wait for your association approval before giving deposit ...

A year and change later my neighbor put up a fence and his fence was 3 panels longer than mine. We compared surveys. This company did not put the fence where they marked they were going to put the fence on my survey. There were so many calls and emails, I showed up in person as well. They wanted to charge me $1050 for them to dig up the fence from where they mistakenly put it and then put it where they said they were going to put it and add the 3 panels. The whole original fence was $2280. I even offered to pay whatever the actual parts and labor would cost for the 3 extra panels. They also charged me for a permit THEY NEVER PULLED. They are crooks.

I got a quote and was told and stated on my estimate it would include the removal of my fence. I paid my deposit in Feb and was told by MANNY that once the permit was approved it would only take 3 weeks. So I paid my deposit of 1/2 the money and signed the contract. In March I had not heard anything so I reached out to Orange County. My permit was sitting in limbo for 3 weeks and Manny did nothing on it. I had to do research for my permit to be approved and it took many phone calls/emails/conversations in order for my permit to be approved. All thing that Manny should have been the one to handle not me. (Sidenote: he still charged me even though I did the work) In April my permit was approved and done. I got an install date of June 10 and asked Manny on multiple occasions to come to my home to give me a final number because I was splitting the fence. I was told lie after lie that he would come or call me back. At no time did he follow up on his word. If you call the office the receptionist says that she will leave a message for him or that he is busy. June came and Manny told that my neighbor was not ready and that if he did my fence now and my neighbors later, I would be charged the $250. I guess since I am a woman it is okay for me to be charged for someone else not being ready. SMH July came and still no visit or call from Manny as to the final number for my fence. The day after the work started he showed up and told me that I had to now pay for removal and charged me an additional $500. I told him that I did not want the service and that I will take care of it. He said he will take the charge off of my bill. He did not. The fence was left on my yard and he refused to take the charge off of my bill. Of course my neighbors (who are men) did not have to pay this charge. I would not recommend contacting this company unless you are a man!!! PS **The workers who did the work is amazing and I can not say enough about how great they are and the work they did was 100% quality work.
