Hunting weekend. Wing night. We walk in with 10 guys, first thing lady says is I didn't know you were coming so it's going to be at least a hour for food! A hillbilly guy at the bar says "Looks like the short bus just got here " Should of punched him in his face but had a cane so kinda felt bad . Now another girl served us and she did great. One cook, poor guy, but he did great. Made up for the rude entrance. Do they want business or not? Wings are small wing dings, thought they would be whole wings. Burger meat is eh. So I don't know if we will go back, it's 50/50. read more

On our way, back from our trip to Wisconsin, we got the chance to stop in Brookville, PA for lunch; after checking a few restaurants close to the highway which did not satisfy us we decided to go into town where we found with Yelp's help, Dirty Ehrma Cornerside Tavern; a great find! The place sits at on a corner at the bottom of a bridge right off Main Street; at first, we were a bit hesitant since the place was deserted; the only people present were the proprietors and their son... however their warm welcome and the charm of the place set our feelings right. As soon as you enter you will find a large old- fashioned bar with a space containing a pool table to the right and a spacious dining area to the left. It was decorated for Christmas but if you look closer you will find unique pieces related to the area and place including old photographs. We ordered the North Fork Moose Sandwich and wings. Oh my!! What a treat!!! The North Fork Moose sandwich was not your ordinary roast beef sandwich; it was shredded beef so moist and tasty that it was gulfed down instantly. The wings were brought out freshly made hot and crispy accompanied by the various sauces made in house; our favorite is Ehrma's House sauce, a garlicky, cheesy mixture that is absolutely divine!!! During our meal and after we chatted with the proprietors who were very born and raised in town and very proud. They told us about the town's history and of their famous Victorian Christmas Celebration which takes place every year. I loved their wings here. We were in town for the day and checked out Yelp to find a good place to eat. We stopped in here for dinner and it was awesome. The pretzel with beer cheese appetizer was good, but I loved their wings the most. They have wing specials on Saturdays, which is amazing and something I've never seen anywhere. $1 off a dozen wings. What a great deal on already cheap wings. They were huge and the sauces were good. I loved the Ehrma's sauce the most. It was blue cheese mixed with hot sauce and something else, but definitely must like blue cheese to enjoy these wings. Everyone was nice and service was pretty quick. I'd definitely stop back if we're ever in Brookville again. read more

Been to Ehrma's a few times in my travels through the area. A corner dive bar in all its glory. Family friendly, great food, and a welcoming staff. One of those rare places that a first timer feels like a regular. Burgers and wings are fabulous and be sure to order the hand cut fries. Great place for your classic pub fare. Recommend trying their pirogies appetizer, the miniature version of these fried potato dumplings and their shrimp scampi, served of a delicate bed of linguine with a generous amount of butter and seasoning. For a social hermit, such as myself, hanging out at a random corner bar in a random town, 5+ hours from home no less, doesn't sound like something I want any parts of on paper. In reality, if Dirty Ehrma's is the bar, then I'm whistling a much different tune. On one serendipitous night, the Yelp community led me and my bestie to this unassuming slice of awesome. We chose it out of curiosity, but loved it for so much more. Our bartender, Kelly, was not only fun, friendly, and knowledgeable of all things Ehrma...she also happened to be a closet fashion designer. I know, who'da thunk? Bestie purchased a t-shirt and was desperate to have the hip, off-the-shoulder, look that Kelly was sporting with her own threads. So what does she do? Brandishing a set of shears, Kelly hacked away at said t-shirt, creating the perfect 80s-meets-today look for my friend. Just because she kicks a$$ like that. We happened to stumble in on Free Juke Box Night, which led to the most fun I have ever had at a bar in my 29 years. Picture it: an entire bar's worth of patrons lifting their voices in a raucous rendition of American Pie. Don McLean would approve. The atmosphere was so chill and laid back, the locals were friendly, the libations were cheap, what more could you ask for on a random Friday night in a town far, far away? Ok, can I just say, Dirty Ehrmas was the highlight of our work trip to Clarion. By the second day in Clarion, PA, we kinda exhausted all of the restaurants we wanted to try (sorry Clarion). So, at the hotel, I (ahem) yelped away and looked to a restaurant in a near by town (we were by no means familiar with the area). As I was scrolling, I immediately stopped. Wha?? Oh, I found the spot. Dirty Ehrmas. My coworker blankly starred at me. No, I'm not taking you to a strip joint. Yes, I promise. It's a tavern. I think. Let's hope. Hell, if not, it'll be an interesting night!! Ha. We made the trip out to Brookville, which took about 20 minutes. Not bad. I had to GPS it, and we knew immediately as it was approaching, because out of nowhere there were rows of cars. It was the local hot spot, for sure. We came up to the door and walked it. Definitely a place where "everyone know your nameeee", because boy oh boy did we get stares. Not bad. Not awkward, more like "awe, these poor girls must be lost". All the tables were almost jam packed, but we managed to get a seat. Menus were handed out, and it was the generic pizza, burgers, fried food with a few salad and wrap options. But honestly, I wasn't expecting anything more. I chose the chicken parm sandwich and my coworker picked some kind of Burger (which she asked for medium rare, but we're told that the patties were frozen -meh). Food came out, and we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was seasoned good and cooked perfectly. The flavors pulled through and made our meals enjoyable!! The atmosphere of this place is, um, unique. The walk in freezer is nestled behind a table in the actual dining room. The bathroom, which I am assuming is unisex, has two toilets, with no door to separate them, just a wall (hard to explain, but limited privacy) and the creme de la creme??!?! What caught my eye before we left?? The Dirty Ehrmas souvenir shirts!!! We proudly represented by buying 4, yes 4 (18$ a piece) of them!! We were so stoked! Kinda bummed because we were told they had limited sizes, because they recently got wiped out and didn't replenish, but whatever, we happily got ours!! If you are ever in the area, I would recommend stopping by this joint. It's cozy, it's laid back, and I'm sure it's a good old time on the weekends!! read more

We were driving to Pittsburgh and needed to eat somewhere that was open past 8 PM. Dirty Ehrma's it was. This is a bar but also a restaurant. There were clearly many regulars drinking at the bar here but also families with young children dining. The burger I had was pretty solid and my husband loved his chicken wings. Service as on point too and the food came out fast. There is a convenient parking lot next door and it's not too far off the highway. Dirty Ehrma's fulfilled our needs and if you are looking for a place to stop for a meal in the area, I'd recommend coming here! read more

Don't be fooled by the external appearance. You won't find better service north of Mississippi or within 100 miles of Brookville. The food will stand up against any tavern food, and the potions are more than ample. If you find yourself cruising down 80 and hungry or thirsty be sure to stop in. Definitely a must in Brookville. It's a local favorite, and the best bar in town. If you're looking for wings, come here; try the dirties special. Their wings are always covered in a ton of awesomesauce. Yes, it's a restaurant centered around a bar (see: Tavern) they serve food on paper and plastic... it's part of the Dirty's experience. They have some unique burgers and pizzas that you wouldn't typically see at a bar in this area. The prices are very reasonable. I don't know who added the one-star review on here, but that's their only Yelp review, so I'm just going to assume it's someone trying to sabotage this place. In the past, they have been very accommodating to our large parties. They actually hosted a birthday party for a friend and I, and they even hired a DJ for the night. They made the night awesome! Also, they hold random fun events, one being the "Goodwill Prom" that they hold every year which is a town hit. read more

Worst service I've had in years! We waited a half hour for a waitress to come to our table then another 15 for drinks . She laughed said I forgot them. Then took our order completely forgot a chicken salad we had to wait again for that. The wings were so over cooked the bones crumbled when we tried to get the meat . Then knowing she messed our entire meal up she gave us huge attitude when delivering our bill. Then come to find out she was the owner never ever going there again she needs to get herself and her business in order! The whole experience was a joke! read more

Great find, as we were traveling through on route 80. Love a local joint with character. The multitude of wings options were truly tasty, but for us, too much vinegar, and some overdone. I was a strange city slicker in a far away town, but was made to feel like everyone's best friend instantly. My BFF and I took a random road trip to western PA and were looking for a place to have a few brews and mix it up with some locals. Yelp led us to Dirty Ehrma's, and subsequently, to one of the most fun nights of our lives. We had the good fortune of having Kelly be our bartender, and she made us feel at home. She made solid beer recommendations, gave us money to play the juke box, and hung out with us like we were old friends. I absolutely love kelly! The patrons of the establishment were totally crazy, but in a good way. Those rural folks know how to have a good time that's for sure!! And ladies-this bar is a total sausage fest, which for a single chick like myself is another check in the pro column. Dirty Ehrma's has good tap options and even more craft beers in bottles. The food is quite good as well. My favorite item was the taco pizza, because, taco pizza. Perfect accompaniment to the copious amount of beer I consumed. My friend and I got between us five beers, two mixed drinks, a soda, an app sampler, and taco pizza, and the bill was under $40. A better deal cannot be found, my friends. I would recommend this bar to anyone looking for a brew, a bite, and a good time. I totally plan on making the 6 hour drive again sometime to hang out with these awesome people! read more

They have the best food ever. The wings are amazing. The burgers have the best buns. My favorite is all you can eat crag legs dinner. If you want a drink just tell the bartenders to make you whatever, I've never been dissapointed. The fish dinners are good for lent. The owners are extremely nice and all workers are very professional. Very clean establishment. My son and I have been going there since he was little he now is 21. Don't go here! We called ahead to ask if they could accommodate a large party and they said yes. Thirteen of us arrived after a long day of traveling. We waited over an hour for our food. The dipping sauces were frozen in the middle...burgers arrived without proper toppings menu indicated they would have...burgers had hard black plastic chips in them...chicken bacon ranch pizza...no bacon. Really? No silverware...no drink refills...food served on paper plates covered in foil...root beer was flat...ice tea had strange taste. One apology was made that they were unprepared for such a large crowd. There was us and two other tables. By the time we left...the bar was packed with people. Waiting to be served. Poor folks, they might be expire from starvation before they ever get food. read more

We were looking for a late dinner after checking into a motel nearby on a trip from New York and came across Dirty Ehrma's as one of our few options at the time we got in town. We are so glad we did! It's such a gem and has the best service. The Mac n' Cheese bites were a delicious surprise! And the pizza was so fresh tasting it seemed to be made from scratch. We got the North Fork Moose sandwich which is a roast beef sandwich and it came with handcut fries.
