I would not recommend donating to this organization. I scheduled pick ups 2 weeks in a row and they failed to show up. I am also disabled and lugged 10 boxes of clothing out twice and they just never showed up. But worse than that, when I called to see if they were coming or not, they told me to give it until 5:15. When I called at 5:15, they said to give it until 7. When I called at 7:15, they said they only pick up until 5 and did I want to reschedule? Absolutely not. I am now lugging 10 boxes back into my house in the dark. Thanks. In the future, I will choose a charity that knows what end is up and how to follow an appointment schedule. ‍ Hopefully they treat the vets better than that. read more

There is always good sales and a wide variety. Be cautious of stains, definitely not the thrift stores fault. This thrift store is an excellent place to donate and support a worthy cause. read more

Zero stars. I call ahead to see if I need to make an appointment and was informed by Linda that on monday and Tuesday they take walk in people from 9 am to 12 pm. I show up on a Monday at 9 and no one is there. Four other people show up and they got tired of waiting and left. Finally around 10 a man shows up in his truck and it's one of the reps who work there. First, he's rude and says they only take appointments only. So I let him know what his other associate, Linda, on the phone is telling people. He proceeds to tell me no she didn't say that and I'm looking at him like an idiot trying to be respectful. Finally after Johnny talks about when he can help me file a claim. So we make an appointment. On the day of the appointment my truck had a heater core issue and I had to take it to get repaired emergency style because it caused overheating for some reason. So I call to let them know I cannot make it in and if I can reschedule. LINDA ANSWERS THE PHONE, and is nice and says she will call me back. And she does call me back because she called Johnny to let him know of the reschedule. Johnny says for next Monday which is the 26th of November @ 10am. I input in my schedule as soon as Linda calls me back. So today I show up and again Johnny isn't there. Is he ever there? So again there's people waiting because Linda tells people you can walk in Monday and Tuesday from 9-12 and file a claim. Obviously Johnny don't care about that cause he's almost never there. So I call Linda and ask if I should wait a little longer and she says she'll call me back after speaking to Johnny. So she calls me back and tells me No, my appointment is on the 3rd of December. I responded and let her know that isn't what she told me last week over the phone. And by this time she's already cutting me off and telling me she never said that and blah blah. I keep my composure because my mom is in the car with me. I kindly let her know ok that I do not want to reschedule and to just cancel the appointment please. I'm sitting in front of the DAV office as this is happening. Then I tell linda there's people waiting in front and the hours she's telling me for opens claims is not what seems to be really going on here. So she gets mad tells me I can't speak for other people and hangs up on me. So everybody can hear the convo cause Linda was on speaker. I'm thinking to myself, what a shame. Later down the street Linda Butler calls me back to tell me Johnny penciled me in for the 3rd of December, I wouldn't have agreed to that meeting date because I'm already booked with meetings that day at work. I tell linda Thank you but I wouldn't have agreed to that date because of my scheduling. I'm kinda a busy person and run my life by my calendar, so I tend to not make mistakes on that. Linda responds rudely again and tells me whatever she can spew out her mouth and hangs up on me again. So Linda is the one who miscommunicated when my appointment really was, cause I'm sure Johnny put it in his calendar. Either way, they both are doing a disservice to veterans with this kind of business ethic. So sad that this place offers what they offer and don't do what they say they can do. You're better going down the street to 14th and orange street to the Real Veteran Service center. DAV off university for lack of a better word, sucks! read more

I do like that they come to the house to pick up, if their not coming they will notify me in advance, I understand they have a shortage of driver so it doesn't bother me to much if I have to reschedule, I actually schedule 3 pick ups in advance a month. read more
