So Happy to support and give my Donations to Dav. Had a house clean out and have very mixed feelings about Goodwill. Goodwill does not pick up. Here DAV DOES pick up ! The Pick up Driver was helpful and pleasant .He loaded up 40 boxes and 20 plus bags of our donations. We were able to place donations in driveway .The time slot they alloted was met there was no waiting.They gave us a tax deduction documentation for Taxes for donation.Was great experience. DAV for Disabled Vetrans is a charity with 100% non profit going to the benefit of Disabled Vetrans. Thank You will donate again ! read more

I filed a claim with VA and asked DAV for help. They had me complete all the paperwork and then they turned it in. The claim was submitted on July 13, 2016. It was denied on June 28, 2018. DAV sent me a copy of the denial letter. Once again, I completed the appeal on my own with no assistance from DAV. I sent a copy of the completed appeal to DAV and requested that they review it. I never got a response. About 45 days ago I contacted VA to see what was going on. They acknowledged getting the appeal; however, they did nothing on it. It was claimed that I may have missed checking a box, so VA did nothing. I expect this from VA, but I am a lifetime member of DAV, and apparently they did not even review the documents. Always picked up on scheduled date. No problems! Always helpful if I call with a question. I appreciate this organization.

I often leave items out on the scheduled date, and without fail, they are picked up and a receipt left. On one occasion I had to call the 800 number, and it was answered and my question answered right away. Good job! read more

Does not reliably pick up on scheduled date (postcards and bags sent in the mail), customer service 800 number could not verify when another truck would be around. read more
