Wanted to repair my laptop. They kept directing me to the laptops for sale. Telling me that repairing mine is equal to a POOR REPLACEMENT. He had the nerve to say he would tip me $5 to buy a laptop from him. I'm like ??? Then I said No Ty I guess you don't do repairs? He says it's not worth it to fix! I said ok well let me get a 2nd opinion. He said no worries that he would've took the $5 tip back anyhow. The whole situation was strange as I was confused with this strange conversation. So , I went to Best Buy and the Geek Squad fixed my laptop for $48 and it's running like a champ. I would never recommend this place as The Geek Squad gained my business in MC. read more

This location probably knows how to repair a fan or a screen and all those little pieces. But they know nothing about computer issues, especially program or software issues. I took my laptop here after experiencing the dreaded blue screen. I was told my hard-drive had 7% life left and it was unfixable. They employee just sent my files over to another laptop i owned and put it in a file on my main screen and left me to figure out where my documents, music, favorite, etc, were in this one little folder. They didn't even merge the files so that they appeard similar to my old set up. Right away I didn't feel the info they gave me was accurate so I took my laptop straight to Best Buy and had them look at my laptop. In about 3 minutes they were able to tell me it wasn't a hard-drive issue because my computer worked fine in safe mode, and if it was a destroyed hard-drive it wouldn't be able to do that. It turns out my computer wasn't booting up because my anti-virus was conflicts with a Microsoft update. That's it! They removed the anti-virus and replaced it with another and my laptop works fine. Also, researched the life of a hard drive, there is no such thing! Hard drives dont have life percentages. They either works or they don't. I dont mind that this place isn't prepared to handle software issues but they owe it to their costumers to tell them they dont know how to fix these typw of problems. Let your costumers know you can fix all their hardware concerns but dont say their computer is unfixable if you dont know how to actually diagnose these problems! read more

This business is owned by rude and untrained owners who are greedy and like to lie to their customers, just today a good friend told me that his mother took her old computer in there to be recycled. They charged her 20$ to recycle her CRT computer monitor after taking other parts that they will keep to sell in bulk for scrap. If people are bringing you free material that you sell for good money (computer parts have gold in them and have high scrap value) you shouldn't be charging them 20 DOLLARS to dispose of an old CRT when it probaly just goes in a dumpster. My advice go somewhere else and read the other negative reviews others have left on google reviews and here on yelp. You will see a pattern and then decide for yourself read more

i was getting ready to scrap a laptop that i had spilled milk all over and it was toast. it was a $1000.00 sony and i had it in the closet for 6 months as i bought a new hp. i got talking to the owner who went to school with my brother in the 50's and he told me to bring it in. he managed to save it for me and i had to get a new keyboard but he he fixed the rest. i have gooton to know him now over the las few years and he is one of the honest, caring people i know and also jim his son is also. there is a reason they were voted #1 by the globe for computer and cell phone repair. i know for a fact best buy has sent people to them. there is always two side to every story. i am also thankful that the surgery went great./ tim read more
