I was passing through Americus when I realized I was well past due for an oil change. I googled…read morewhere to go and picked Shell Rapid Lube primarily because of the word "rapid". As soon as I pulled in the faces of the employees went from welcoming to troubled. My truck had started making noises I didn't hear while driving. During the inspection they found a leak and investigated further to find the water pump was leaking and a belt needed to be replaced. They patiently answered all of my questions about the safety of continuing on my trip, what could happen and how to handle each scenario. They all genuinely cared about my safety and it showed. I think they should change the name to "The Amazing Shell Rapid Lube"! Thanks guys!

i went there to get my tire sensors check and they were dead they had some there but the manager…read moresaid they would be 60.00 ea. on sale but Mavis sales them for a 160.00 plus tire brake down and replace sensor i ask them if i bought some on line can they replace them and said yes so i ordered the same ones they had and only paid 100.00 for all 4 cause I'm on a fix income being retired so i came back and ask to put them on and rotate my tires he told me 29.95 for rotation i said fine but when i ask how much to put sensor on he told me 100.00 a TIRE i told him no and ask to pull my car out of the garage i went down the street and got done for 80.00 for all four but while i was getting them done the repair man told me threads were showing on one tire so i told them to replace all 4 tires so with mavis being young tire store in Americus you wouldn't has a company let your manage price gouging people without letting them know what it would cost before they start working on people car and lose out on selling 4 tires. good luck mavis in Americus as long as you got that manager i will let everyone know he is good for price gouging drivers beware

My issue is that as I was being told they were going to replace it, they said that it " might" have been done before I got to them. I had driven it 3 hours at highway speed to their site in Americus Georgia and no oil pressure drop or leakage. Most of us aren't that stupid. Obviously, it occurred in their shop, I didn't appreciate the BS. The installer later admitted he broke it. Why try to Bull_ _ _ t me? I also said I thought I was entitled to a reduced price. Denied... with an offer to give me a break in my next oil change, no thanks! The manager also wasn't even apologetic, one of the other workers truly seemed sorry it happened.

Nobody contacted me with any kind of update for repairs. I called and left a message on the morning of Nov 10, nobody returned my call so I paid the company a visit to pickup my car. I stated to them that I would pick it up the following day, the staff was very unprofessional and when I returned home my emergency break is not working. I recently had it fixed months prior to taking my car there. I use my emergency brake every time I drive my car being that it a stick shift... They then proceeded to bring us a bus the was supposed to seat 50 kids yet seated 140 kids because the owner just expected us to squish into the bus. Along with being to small, the bus had no AC. We then went on our way only to have a tire pop. We stopped for 2~3 hours while we stood around until we had learned that the spare tire was also busted. When we finally arrived at the park, we only had 4 hours to maybe ride rides. When we finally finished our trip, we waited about 1 hour and 30 minutes for the bus to arrive to drive us back. I have never been so disappointed in a business. I hope that you change your business practices because some one can get seriously hurt

The only person in this entire ordeal that deserves more than 1 star, is one of the bus drivers, Mr. Gary, the business owner was telling him to lie to us about what was going wrong with the buses- but we overheard him saying that he was not going to lie to our faces the way the owner had been doing all day. We were SUPPOSED to arrive in Orlando, Florida, at 12pm... we finally arrived at 9:30pm. The bus was then supposed to pick us up at 2am.. and at 3:30am, a majority of my classmates were sleeping on the concrete outside of universal, when our bus finally showed up. I truly feel bad for these bus drivers to be working for a businessman like this.
