My favorite place to buy tires is Discount Tire. They have fantastic service, friendly staff, and very competitive prices. Another plus, they only do tires so no pressure to buy other services. To start with, their web site is fantastic. I'm by no means a tire expert, but after using their site I felt like one. Put in your car model and you are quickly presented with all the tires available for your car. A nice feature is the "most popular tires for your vehicle" button and the ratings system with user reviews (I'm much more inclined to listen to actual purchasers as opposed to "experts"). It makes shopping for tires a breeze. Discount Tire is always running some sort of special, so be sure you ask. They offer several warranty options at a reasonable price and will provide free rotation for the life of the tire. I usually buy the basic warranty which has come in handy several times, greatly reducing the cost of a replacement tire. If I had one complaint is that stock can sometimes be iffy. It's another reason I use the website as I can easily see what's in stock and what isn't. Even if the exact tire isn't in stock, they can typically have it available in less than a day. I've purchased over 20 tires at Discount Tire and have yet to be disappointed in any way. read more

The warranties pay for themselves as in the course of three years I picked up three nails in two tires and two nails in the other two tires. Now all repairs were free making my road hazard worth every penny. They offer free air when your tire is low, and the best part of all is the cover tires that they may have not put on your. Short story to explain I purchased a new car in 2013, had an issue with one tire getting low, so I went to them to find out the problem. The tires were new and asked me if I wanted to put a warranty on them, of course I said yes. Glad I did as it paid off. I have never had any problems with them. They replaced my driver front tire for free since the rotation didn't improve the pull. Actually it meant I had a radial push instead of a pull. Anyway, maybe the problem lies within my car, which would suck. I don't know that much about cars, and even less about tires and wheels, but my previous tires didn't push or pull my car in one direction, and the new tires, although a different brand, are the same size. If anyone knows a lot about wheels and tires and cars (oh my), what would allow the road to turn my steering wheel? If I drive over bumps and uneven pavements, my steering wheel sometimes turns sharply to the right. It's very annoying. I don't want to spend even more money by seeing my mechanic or getting an alignment done. read more

Uhh .........some young inexperienced kid try to sell me car tires for my Ford F-150. Also the warranty was unclear to me. There was a markup on every tire for warranty sort of ridiculous. Also heads up on this store they only sell the cheaper line of the tires - the tires you buy they may be brand name but they're the cheapest ones they make. I've been getting great service here for last 5 years until recently i was help my manager named Chad! I had them swap with new tires on my high end car that had black wheels. After installing new tires, they scratched up all wheels and blame on paint being crappy! What??? Wheel was factory painted. Chad was very rude like I have no words... I've given them my business in the past and was fairly happy with the experiences. They matched Tire Rack prices when I needed a whole set of tires, but I was annoyed at all the upselling they do. I went in to simply put my winter wheels and tires on the car, it's easy to do since the tires are already on winter wheels. They had already started the work and wanted to sell me tire pressure sensors for the winter wheels. I declined since I've run the same winter wheels for years without the sensors without issue. They said they were unable to do the swap without installing the sensors and they reversed the work and put the summer wheels back on and that's completely fine since I'll take my business elsewhere. Driving home I knew something wasn't right. I checked the leg nuts, EVERY SINGLE ONE was very loose. Of course this is very dangerous, especially at freeway speeds. If you do give them your business, make sure you keep a good torque wrench in your car and confirm the lug nuts are tight. read more

They were courteous with my vehicle, made knowledgeable recommendations, and I left very happy with 4 new tires instead of my intended 2 (Look out, they have great salesmanship). These guys are absolutely outstanding. Called on Saturday to check they had the tires we wanted (they did) and made an appointment. The guy on the phone was super friendly and helpful. Dropped in at 8am as arranged, and were the first customers of the day. All four installers got to work, and we were out in less than 30 minutes. Tires, installation, disposal fees, tax etc = $750. Absolutely incompetent is the only way I can describe this shop. The front desk people are nice enough, and they'll pay for their screw ups, but it's ridiculous the amount of failure that comes from their staff. Allow me to explain: About 8 months ago I went in to get new tires. This was the same shop where I first got tires for my car back when I purchased it, and the tires were good quality and the job was done quickly, plus they had no problem repairing punctures and such, so I trusted the job would be done again easily. Clearly something had changed in the time between my old and new tires. I get the new tires on my car, and driving home I notice a strange noise. Concerned, I bring it back the next day have them test and rotate the tires, which they did free of charge. They did note that one of the lugnuts had stripped when they were putting the new tires on, and had to break it off. Quick detour: The only way a lugnut stud will strip is if you slam it on with an air impact gun without tightening it by hand first. The proper way to do this, obviously, is to spin the nut on by hand, then once it's hand-tight use a torque wrench or such to bring it to proper tightness. There's no way it can cross-thread or strip in this way. So they stripped one lugnut and broke it. Since it was obviously their fault, they ate the cost, purchasing me a new stud and setting me up with a Meineke near me. No cost to me other than my time. Getting to the Meineke though, and still being worried about a sound from my wheel, I ask them to check all the wheels real quick. They didn't find anything mechanical wrong, so it must just be tire noise, but they did find that while Discount Tires was rotating the tires, they stripped another stud. Another trip over to Discount Tire, and again, they buy me another fresh stud and another trip to Meineke. At this point I'm well annoyed and Discount Tires has completely ruined my week, as I have to keep on setting up appointments to solve problems they are causing to my vehicle through laziness and incompetence. But this isn't done yet. Fast forward to today. I'm putting new brake pads on my car; they needed it badly. And what do I find on my front two tires? 3 stripped studs. 2 on my driver's side, and 1 on my passenger's side. These weren't the ones Meineke fixed the last time, and I know no one has touched my wheels since then, so it's Discount Tire's fault. They're completely incompetent, lazy, and I'll make sure to go to another shop from now on, one that actually knows how to screw on a lugnut. read more

I stopped in because of a leaky tire.... THESE GUYS ARE GREAT! Friendly, honest, knowledgeable. I would HIGHLY recommend, no charge to remove and fix the hole from a screw that was in my tire. Also checked my spare, low on air... did I say thorough... and I will be back to buy my next tire from them. I always have a great experience at Discount Tire-every time has been great! Customer service is fantastic and work is done quickly. Yesterday, I had an even better experience. I only had a small amount of room in my budget to get only two tires replaced, when really I needed 3 done. They worked with me to find 3 tires I could afford, when they could've easily just let it go. I'm very thankful they did, because I don't think we would've been safe on the road today with all the snow we got. I will always continue to go here for any tire needs. I went in because I had a screw in my tire, yesterday, that AAA "fixed". They plugged it and the plug wasn't holding air. Discount tire couldn't fix it because of the damage done by the plug process. Needed to replace the tire. And you can't just replace one, you have to buy two. Oh but wait....I have AWD. Can't just replace 2 tires. Had to buy four new tires. I was not happy. But I have to say, that was not their fault. Store manager explained the issues with just replacing 2 tires with AWD vehicles. He walked me through my options. Found me the best option for my large and unexpected expense. I have been to this store a few times and have always had excellent service, and they take the time to explain the issues. GREAT service again....even if I was hoping for a quick inexpensive fix. read more

I am very disappointed with the customer service I received at this location. The young gentlemen (wish I could remember his name, he had glasses and short brown hair) I worked with made me feel I had no knowledge of tires or what I wanted for my car. I really didn't appreciate the extreme sales attitude, he would not take no for an answer and yet he is the one who had no knowledge about tires. He tried to tell me I needed all 4 new tires when I only asked for 2. I wanted 2 because the other pair only had 20,000 miles on them and a 90,000 mile warranty so clearly they are fine. At the end of my time there I was rang up and that went smoothly because the gentlemen who installed the tires on my car rang me up or I'm sure it would have been a headache again. Now just 2 days later I really wish I would have just went somewhere else now thought, because after my service here one of the wheels that they removed is making a grinding noise. read more
