I would like to thank Dylan for helping me as they were actually closing and correcting the Dodge stores mistake! I ordered my tires in advance as they are somewhat unique. I drive a 2012 MDX on 19s. I had them installed at the Dodge location around 4:30 done at 5:15 drove my vehicle for less than and hour when my TPS ON and I was at 20psi already by the Tucson Mall an not near the installed location. Pulled up to the Oracle location and explained I purchased my tires that afternoon and was coming to a flat. I had to leave to Phoenix in the AM so it was vital this was corrected that evening. Even though they were closing Dylan took my situation and corrected another store's mistake. He promptly corrected the bad valve stem as they used my "old parts" and shook his head in disbelief and embarrassment for the work of the Dodge store. I must give praise and credit to this young gentleman's help and correcting this error. I'm very disappointed in the oversight of the other stores location and if wasn't for Dylan would have been irate in being stranded in the AM with a brand new tire flat. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY! I went to have a tire repaired on the right front. During the inspection they found a nail in the right rear. They measured the nail distance from the sidewall and took the car in for repair. I asked, "How often do you see a nail in both tires on the same side?" The tech said "All the time". After the tires were both "repaired" I left and went home. Two days later I noticed a nail in the left rear tire. When I looked closer it was the same nail and the same tire that WAS on the right rear. They did NOT repair the tire. They switched the tire to the other side hoping I wouldn't notice. When I returned to the store and talked to the manager he tried to convince me I was mistaken about which side the nail was on. Then he measured the distance to the sidewall and said it was too close and not repairable. They sent me back out on the road with a hazardous tire, attempted to hide the fact they hadn't repaired it by switching it to the other side and THEN tried to lie to me when I returned and confronted the manager. I called the corporate office to report them. I was told how sorry they were and that a VP would call me back that afternoon. That was 3 days ago and NO call. I told both the store and the corporate office I had been a customer for 17 years. Obviously they don't care. DO NOT GO TO ANY DISCOUNT TIRE OR AMERICA'S TIRE! read more

They do free air pressure checks! I went just to get the air pressure checked on a used car I just purchased and they found a nail in the front tire. They told me not to worry, THEY DO FREE NAIL REPAIRS! I went inside to have the nail repaired and that's when they discovered my front tire was in really bad shape and shouldn't be driven. I'm going through touch times and couldn't afford a new tires but they hooked me up so I could drive home safely. They really care about their customer and are definitely not out for your money. This place has gotten horrible with the costumer service. Mind you no one was in line I was the only person waiting to get help you had two people on computers. No one helped me for 15 minutes. Meanwhile they are bypassing me to help people that have received help. I had a appointments at 9:15. It funny how nice they are when you spend thousands of dollars but when you need a repair you end up not getting help with the same energy. They helped the people on the phone first when I was clearly waiting of 30 minutes before I got help. Then to top it off someone did a walk in and got help immediately. While I had to wait 30 with a appointment. Make that mark since. Don't go to this location if you can help it. This location is a last resort and no one can get you in. And to who ever Is managing this location should take a class on good customer service and lead by example . You can't pick who you want to help and who should wait 30 minutes in line with a appointment again I was the only one in-line. And the only reason I came to this location is because my cousin works for discount recommended I go here. As I'm waiting here and watching how they are helping and treating others is blowing my mind. I didn't receive that kind of help or service. Yeah not the case. I have time today. I was initially pleased with this location (good service and friendly employees), and then had a flat tire about a month and a half later in the mountains. After discount tire replaced my spare (which I have never had a problem removing before), the mechanism to remove my spare would not engage, no matter what I tried. I had to leave my truck and walk 6 miles down a mountain road to get to cell service because nothing worked to remove my spare. I called this location and left a message asking for a representative to call me back with advice for how to fix my stuck spare, but never heard back. Ok, you got my spare stuck or broke the mechanism or something- no big deal. But why not call me back to address the mistake? It caused me a whole lot of trouble. read more

I just returned from getting two new tires installed. Great place! I selected my tires online through their corporate website, selected this location, and set an appointment time for 8:00. I arrived at 8:00 and that's when they open for business. There were 5 other customers in front of me already waiting at the door. Three employees came out with clipboards and immediately started attending to them as opposed to everyone filing inside and standing at their counter. Very nice and efficient. In spite of not being immediately tended to because of my placement in line, I was still acknowledged by an employee and was told that they would get to me as soon as possible and I was welcome to come inside. I didn't have to wait long. I noticed that the morning's appointments, including mine, was up on a whiteboard. This shows attention to detail and caring that they really do have appointments. I was waited on at 8:07. I was out the door at 8:27. I was surprised. I even took my laptop and a couple of textbooks with me to do some homework. The car was done in nothing flat. I was home by 8:40. GREAT SERVICE! And to top it off, they put my temporary spare back in the storage correctly, properly secured, and the hatch to the storage space properly closed and latched. More attention to detail. I love it when a company does it right. What also struck me was how ALL the employees--and there were about seven I had personal contact (made a connection by saying hello, etc.)--were sincerely friendly and courteous. None of that plastic, fake, sales personality. All were sincere. They seemed to enjoy being there at their job and enjoy doing what they were doing. These guys are top notch and super fast, but it seems only if you have a phone with you. I miss the way they used to communicate from years ago. When your car was done they would say out loud in the lobby, "XYZ Car is ready for customer name." Instead they apparently send you messages to your phone that your car is ready. I did not have a phone with me and sat there in the lobby for much longer than I needed to. It was not until I got up to stretch my legs that I saw my car parked and ready to go. The upselling at this place has become ridiculous. My young son went into this Discount location for a tire patch. He ended up leaving with 4 new tires he put on his credit card to the tune of $800+! After learning what happened, we started our investigation. We went to our local Discount Tire to see what the actual tread measurements were on his tires from his receipt. The tires before replacement on the car were purchased from Discount with a receipt on file and full warranties on all 4 tires. The associate at our Discount location said he personally would not have recommended new tires with the tread level our sons car was at, they had quite a bit of life left in them. Also, the Tucson salesman told him he did not buy his tires from Discount and they were the wrong tires for his car making him more concerned about the tires and driving home on them. That was untrue, they had full certs and were purchased at Discount, we have the receipt. Our son made the mistake of trusting a salesman and not calling us for advice, trying to be an adult. I have always trusted discount in my small town. Now the pushing of other services and not rotating tires when asked and talking young, broke kids into new tires is just not okay. Very expensive mistake on his part. A lot of people depend on a professional to be honest and guide them in choices. Not anymore. We have since switched to our small town local tire shop who is honest and does what's right for the customer financially and no upselling of a million other items. Just what is necessary. My son did go back a few days later after we did our homework and showed him our receipt of purchase and certs. That was ignored and the salesman focused on the tread and the $34 discount he was given. Give me a break! The next morning I got a call from Drew the manager who sincerely apologized for the mix up and bad service. He then told me to bring it in Monday and they would comp to more tires for me. I am a firm believer that how you handle mistakes is what really sets you apart and Drew did amazing. The free tires was not necessary but most definitely appreciated since I did need them. Leo and Fernando, well all the guys really, worked way past closing because of me. I could tell they were tired but due to money and a dead cell phone issues I was really stuck. They stayed positive, and told me I could be safe on just two tires, and worked with me to able to get what I needed. I ended up getting ll four for safety reasons, but Leo walked me through why I could be perfectly safe with two if I couldn't afford all four. No pressure, just honest help, from a group of overworked exhausted guys who wanted to go home. It was slammed when I got there, but they got in as quick as they could. Lug nuts rounded out and over torqued, I took my bmw in to get a full set of tires. Friendly service but someone wasn't doing their job right. I go home just to find out majority of my lug nuts are rounded out, scratches on my rims which were spotless before and I tried taking the lug nuts off with a torque wrench to see what they break loose and and they wouldn't budge past 200 foot pounds of force... these lug nuts were rated at 109 foot pounds. I talked to the manager, he kept saying it's impossible even with all the proof I brought with me. Even he was struggling getting the rest of them off because they were so stuck on there. He got me new lug nuts but it's the fact that they wouldn't own up to their mistake even when it was obvious. My wheels are still scratched but I didn't want to go through the headache of talking to the stubborn manager for one more minute I wouldn't take a luxury car there if I were you. read more

I bought 4 Cooper tires from Discount on Oracle in Tucson. I purchased the warranty. I've had nothing but problems with the tires. When one had a flat that couldn't be repaired they wouldn't replace it with another Cooper tire. This wasn't long after I purchased the tires. They gave me some generic instead that tire didn't last long at all replace with another generic, mind you I had to pay for the additional warranty on each replacement. I go yesterday to get another bad tire fixed. They tell me I need new tires. As a matter of fact I really shouldn't be able to leave because one of the tires is so bad. I said cool I have the warranty. He said I can't use the warranty because I didn't get the tires rotated. I told him I did but I had it done when I get my oil change. Oh it doesn't count if you get them rotated somewhere else.I had 19,000 miles on the tires that were guaranteed to 65,000 miles. I will never, ever go there again. If there were an option fo no stars I would've done that. read more

I am absolutely certain I can find a tire place that has a similar warranty AND values my time and customer loyalty way more than Discount Tires does. I am absolutely fed up with their constantly packed waiting room and line of people. They have not nearly enough customer service agents to handle the volume of clients they have every day. I am also fed up with making appointments there and not getting in at the time they say I will. And lastly, I am fed up with their false wait time promises. The past three times I have gone out of my way to go there I still don't have my tires rotated and checked and I am going out of town with my car today and would like to know it's in tip-top serviced shape. I reserved a time for 2:00, although I got there a little late they were able to fit me right in within 10 minutes and patched my tire. They told me the wait for a walk-in would have been 2-3 hours super yikes. Took my car to the shop for removing a mail from one of tire. The mail was in the replaceable area. After removing the tire from the vehicle and pulling out the mail they said they can't repair it and I should replace all 4 tires with new tire as this an AWD vehicle. When I told them why they can't repair it as the nail was in the repairable area. They said it's on the edge. When I showed them it's not then they said the nail was slanted inside and might be touching the edge. They refused to repair the tire. As I was traveling I was forced to replaced all 4 tires as I didn't have time to wait and shop around or tried to get it fixed elsewhere. read more

Was informed that if I made an appointment I could wait and it would be taken care of in about thirty minutes for a rotation. Showed up at 2 as requested for a 2:15 appointment. Here it is 3:40 and the truck is still in the lot. Being told there was some confusion on the priorities. Would normally not care but this has been pretty standard fare for this location. My rear tire deflated while visiting Tucson and a local told me to go to Discount Tire and that they would probably fix it for free. Being a New Yorker, I just took that news with a grain of salt. After filling the tire from a portable pump, I drove over there. The place was packed. Five service registers and a waiting room full of people in the process of getting service. Even though it was so busy, the staff was patient, efficient, and nice. Mike walked out to my car with me to look it over and get the mileage. Long story short, I waited an hour (walked to Target and shopped) and came back to pick up my car. No charge! I couldnt believe it! They told me there was a piece of metal in the tire. They removed it, sealed the tire, and balanced it. All free! I'll never doubt Tucson local knowledge and hospitality again. read more

Especially at the AIR CHECK! I wish everyone knew that Discount Tire doesn't make ANY MONEY on anything but selling tires! If you love Discount Tire then TIP!! I say at LEAST $1 a tire :) I LOVE DISCOUNT TIRE! The staff is SO FRIENDLY and they truly care about every customer that walks in the door! Came I buy a tire here last Thursday. Can't even drive it 60mph without it shaking. Brought it back today to get ish from the guy saying it's my back tire now which has a small little rubber problem. Why would it now have a problem when it didn't before I brought it on and all of a sudden there is nothing they can do? Then give me attitude because the car is worse then when I brought it in. Rotation and high speed balance. Just picked up new Hankooks, the lexus tire of Korea. We had them on the Honda, just a amazing smooth ride, quiet and positive feel. Mike the manager today, gave me a huge discount because my Yokohamas didn't go the distance on my mini truck. Fine, less $$ for me. I would not go anywhere else. I was trading the car in the next day so I didn't purchase new tires but one was so bad that metal was exposed so they put my donut on free of charge.
