Matthew (Assistant Manager) and team at Discount Tire saved the day! My tire had a blowout, my dealership turned me away at 4:08 because they stopped taking people at 4:00, and when everywhere else was either closed or didn't have what I need, Matthew at Discount Tire said "come on in and we'll take care of you." While there was a long wait because I pulled in last minute and they were super busy, I was driving again that same night! Once they got my car in, it took about 15 minutes from start to finish. After driving from chicago my tire was flat at Tuscan on my way to Phoenix and when I got there I was told I could have an appointment at noon after calling and being booked an appointment then when I arrived they looked at my car and texted me at around noon then when we actually put the car in the shop it was almost 4 PM they forced us to sit in the parking lot nearly 4 hours And they didn't even offer us water or anything they didn't even talk to us when we went to ask what time our car would be in they told us 30 minutes and ended up being an additional 45 after that people who were there after us we're leaving before us. We spent over $200 on a new rim and tire when we came in just for a rim. All in all it was just a miserable day. read more

I went in and asked them to check a leak in my tire. The worker came out scanned all my tires and told me I needed twin new front tires. I was telling him the leak was in the back tire. It was like he was just trying to sell me new tires and had no interest in solving the problem. He told me to get in line to get them filled with air and I would be good. So that's what I did. I got in my car to go to work the next day and my tire pressure was back down to 20. I went to a different tire place and they found a nail and fixed the tire. How do you miss a nail? I was able to get a niche size tire after they did some digging on where to order from. Hand me come by next day, after delivery (got a call to confirm, thank you), and I was excited to get my car back on the road. However the wait was a bit longer than quoted and 30 minutes turned to 90. The staff is very nice, prices are a bit high, wait time is not as promised, outside has plenty of space to distance and there is free tire checks if you just need a sanity check on tread and some air topped off. read more

I would leave zero stars if it were possible. I called Discount Tire this morning as one of my new tires keeps losing some air, making the light turn on but not enough to go flat. I made an appointment for 1:30pm, came in at that time and they told me I had an un fixable leak in the tire and rang me up to pay $100 without showing me or explaining to me anything about the "leak." I paid, they put on the "new tire" that I had paid for and they told me it was the same tire as my other ones. They gave me my keys and told me i'd have to reset the tire light myself "with a button in the glove box." Fortunately, I know how to reset it in the settings of my car because there is no reset button in my glove box. I then drove away and my tire light started flashing at me so I had to turn around and go back. I told the guy that this was not normal and that the tire also did not look the same as my others. He said that I probably reset it wrong but I assured him that I did not. He then looked at it more closely and said that it was in fact "not the right size" and "that is why the light was blinking at me." They then took my car back for another half hour to replace it with the correct one, adding onto the hour & a half I had already been there for. Thankfully I took it back right after I left as I will be gone for a month and if I found out it is too small of a tire when I got back, I find it hard to think they would still have changed it out for the correct size. 3 weeks ago, I had a nail go through a different one of my new tires & I had to put on the spare & take it in to buy a new one. I asked them if they would put my spare back in the hatchback/ trunk area where it belongs and they said yes. When I got my car back, the tire was not bolted in nor were my bolts anywhere to be found. I went inside and told them I needed my bolts and they asked if I wanted them to put it back together and I said no I will do it myself since they couldn't put it back in the first place. I didn't find this reason enough to leave a review but it just adds onto one of the many reasons I will not be coming back here and letting people know they should go to a different place. Each time I have gone to Discount Tire they have treated me as if I don't know anything and yet they haven't been able to follow through with the only thing being to put on the correct tire. I am appalled and will be finding a new place to go for tires. read more

From the get-go, the team at this Discount Tire is trained and steeped in one thing it seems, Excellent Customer Service! They work fast, are very considerate and helpful and above all, make sure you have no surprises. Even while I was waiting, the person next to me was shown a discount that the salesperson hadn't seen and deducted over a hundred dollars from their invoice - solving a error that could have gone unseen - without being asked! I came in here cause my tire pressure sensor said it was low, and filling it up didn't help at all. Come to find out I had a huge 5 inch bolted screw in my tire. Sadly it was not repairable. They where nice enough to prorate my tire for what was left on it, saving me $45. Also got me in and out in under an hour with no appointment. The staff was amazingly friendly, and professional. This just might be my go to shoo even though it's farther away from me. read more

I just left there after having had my tires rotated and pressure checked, good old fashioned service- everyone leaving had a smile on their face. What a great Discount Tire location. I went in today with a nail in my tire, and with COVID, I knew I had to zoom with my kindergarten class as well. They took extra precautions to keep everybody socially distanced. While my car was being worked on, I began my kindergarten zoom from the lobby. They turned off the music and they let me zoom for a full hour and I couldn't have been more touched by their willingness to help this teacher still deliver instruction. When I finished my car was ready, all tires rotated, and appropriate air in all of them. They did it in 20 minutes! Great service. Will happily return. read more

Took my truck in to get a new set of tires put on the employees were extremely careless, I told them I was saving all four tires but after being changed the inner liner on all four tires in tore and unusable. They scratched all four center caps on my rims and failed to secure one of the caps on the rims. I wouldn't recommend this location. read more

We discovered we had a slowly leaking tire, and were right across the street from Discount Tire, so we decided to see if they had time to check it out. Of course, we say our issue, and the guy at the register goes for an "inspection". He comes back and announces that we are in dire need of TWO new tires. Well, only one is slowly leaking. But he says there is no way that they can repair that tire. We REALLY have to buy two new ones. I refused to play his game, and asked for a tech to see if it could be repaired, and if not, to put the spare on. He didn't like that, and he went from being jovial and nice to not talking to us and being completely cold. Fine, you can have that attitude if you choose, Tommy. Anyway, after waiting nearly two hours, when they were quoting only one hour, our car was finished and needed just a patch, per the tech. Why do they have to try to scam me out of two tires off the bat? Come on, guys. You just lost a customer. I'd rather pay the dealership $15 for the repair than have to deal with the scummy tactics to get a free repair. read more

Spending money on your car when you could use that money for things much more pleasurable kind of sucks, right? Needed two new tires and my friend at the dealership told me Discount would be cheaper than what she could get me so I called them up and asked about for the brand and number for the tires I needed. He said he had to order but would have them later in the day so I made an appointment for the following morning at 8AM (when they open). I arrived at 8:05 and that place was BUSY! I totally appreciate that the employees are hustling and act like they need to be somewhere. Review #900 In my opinion, the guys at this Tuscon Discount Tire are the best! I found them on Yelp while I was visiting Tuscon and even though they knew I didn't live there and they didn't have the tire that I needed, they kept the store open late to help me out with a loaner spare. It all started in Mexico. We were trying to go from Phoenix to Rocky Point for the weekend but the rains had caused floods and there was a bridge under construction so... we couldn't get through. After sitting at the boarder for hours, a caravan of us decided to try a detour. During the detour however, I had a blow-out and needed to use my spare. Luckily, I kid you not, I had picked up a group of Mexican road workers that were hitching a ride home (they were in the back of the truck) so they jumped out and helped with the tire. They were amazing really... our jack was broken so they made a pyramid of rocks and had me pull a full-sized Titan up on it so they could fix the tire... amazing, really. Anyway, back to this Discount Tire in Tuscon... Since I'm a previous Discount Tire customer and take part in their warranty program I looked up this location by Yelp recommendation. I arrived on Sat evening, not realizing that they close early on Saturdays. They were locking up but still took care of me. They didn't have the unique tire I needed but fixed me up with a spare and ordered a tire to be delivered in Phoenix. They were friendly and efficient. Discount Tire is a stand up business. The hospitality and speed was outstanding. I felt like I was floating above my car watching the magic happen. I had four new tires put on for HALF the cost of other providers around town. He also applied a discount due to my military service, 50 percent off labor! When it was all said and done I was in and out within 45 minutes. He gave me tips on tire upkeep and they invited me back for a free rotation in a month. We had a great experience at Discount Tire on Speedway and Dodge in Tucson buying two sets of tires for both my old classic Mustang and my wife's Subaru. Javier was very helpful in finding the right sets of tires for both of us and was also able to find the best prices and warranties available, and installation didn't take nearly as long as we expected. Great shop and customer service! As a matter of full disclosure; I had a vicarious business relationship with their corporate office some 15years ago. Have purchased tires elsewhere on occasion, but always return to DT. Today, easy walk in to rotate my tires and check the balance after wheels were refinished (see my review of Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists). Awesome attention to detail as @johncoker, manager, suggested balancing them from the inside - well played! I have been a customer of discount tire for 12 years at both south 6th and speedway locations. All 4 vehicles in my family have been fitted with new tires multiple times. Recently i had an experience at speedway store where i attended them 3 times using about 7 hours of my time over a slow leak. They either couldn't find it or did nothing about it on the first two times and then on the third time came up with an excuse that the tire (a near new michelin radial) was gone and they could only replace it for $290 with warranty !! I couldn't afford it. I felt i had been lied to. I took car to LM Tire Shop on 3029 N Alvernon. They were 100% honest and fixed the tire while i watched for $10!! They can supply new tires for the same price as Discount Tires fitting is half the price. I hate being lied to and will never return to Discount Tires again. read more

I get my tires at Discount Tire because they have the widest selection for the lowest prices and they are everywhere. I used to get them at Walmart, but they do not have as many options as Discount Tire. I always get the full warranty, whatever it is called, so that I have protection for flats and damage to tires as well as free rotation and balance. Most Discount Tires provide courteous and efficient service. This brief review will be for this location on Speedway. I made an appointment to have my tires rotated and balanced. I arrived on time and was next in line. The person in front of me had a child and she was conversing with the service rep on a more personal level. As a matter of fact, he was kissing the child's head. OK, so they know each other really well. I'll guess I'll just wait... I looked at him and looked on the wall and discovered that this is the manager on duty! Well, OK, I guess she misses him and he misses her when he's at work, but come on--this is not professional behavior. I mean it wasn't anything PDA or anything, but I didn't appreciate waiting for them to get done with their business, and I don't think the lady behind me liked it, either. Fortunately, it was over in less than five minutes and he took my keys. I was out of there in 45 minutes. Not bad. The waiting area was smaller than the Discount Tire I usually go to, but was sufficient. As usual, they had complementary cold bottles of water and coffee. Discount tire, speedway and dodge. I work as a Lyft driver and I depend on my vehicle to make a living. This morning, my low tire light came on as I was starting a busy Friday. I was near this shop and even though it wasn't open yet, I pulled in. All the bay doors were openned and only a couple cars were inside. I hoped that maybe I could at the very least get some air in my tire before the place gets flooded with other customers. There were 4 technicians I saw in the garage with only one tending to a vehicle. After an embarrassing incident regarding me shearing the front passenger tire exactly 11 days after I got them installed at a Gilbert Discount Tire, I called this location right as they opened this morning to see if they could get the tire in for a change. Everyone on the phone, and at the location was kind, non-judgmental, and efficient! I'm thankful that I chose to get my tires from Discount in the first place since I was able to get this replaced at no cost expcept the installation since they were brand new. My tire had a slow leak so I made a 4:00 appointment. I got there early and they said I was next and it would be 30 min max. We were headed to the gym so I told them I'd be back at 5:30. I arrived at 5:40 and thought it was odd that my car was where I left it, again backed in. Turns out there was another 'Carol' there and they closed both work orders and never touched mine. I had to sit there until 6:10 while they fixed my tire. There was a minimal apology and they've lost my trust. I will never leave my car again as I don't trust that they will not overlook my car. We had a fantastic experience with Discount Tire! First of all, on Wednesday morning my husband called me to let me know the tire on his truck had blown out *completely* and he was at the gas station down the street. I begrudgingly turned off the new AHS and met him at the station, and arranged to drive him to work, meet the tow driver and follow him to Discount Tire. Now, we've used Discount a lot out here and the different locations have always treated us well, but this was the first time I'd been to the one at Speedway and Dodge. We used to live on the far east side, so most of our business was with the locations over there. This one was terrific. I can't emphasize that enough. The manager, John, was super professional and very nice, and actually upgraded the tires on my husband's truck since they didn't have the ones they'd originally agreed on - for no additional charge. And they provided us with the best spare they had available. The professionalism and courtesy that I was showed during a really stressful day was appreciated more than I can say.
