We've bought tires many times over the years and have always had a good experience. This Discount Tire went above and beyond in helping us with our tire problems. We had a tire that was losing air, so we dropped off our Ford Excursion to have them deal with it. It turned out to be a wheel that had broken a weld and was leaking air. The nice older Hispanic gentleman recommended that we swap the tire out with the old spare and use the spare rim until we could have the wheel repaired or replaced. He then recommended that we take the wheel down to Bobby's Territorial Harley-Davidson where there was a guy that could weld the rim (another Yelp review). Long story short, the rim was fixed, the good tire was remounted and we were on the road. The best part was that Discount Tire refused to charge me! We will continue to buy our tires from this great company. read more

I just returned from overseas and needed some tires for my vehicle. I called this store and the prices at this discount store were higher than the store located on 32nd street. My father decided to shop around at the Discount tires in Texas and was able to get a set of tires cheaper so he requested to have some ordered and drop shipped to this location. I called and asked for updates concerning the shipment of these tires. and Two different employees informed me that I would be called when the tires arrived. Almost two weeks later and still no phone call. I decided to order tires from the store on 32nd street and they arrived one day later. The store on 32nd even said they could give me a better price when I asked about a military discount. I asked the this store about a military discount and they said come on in and we will see what we can do. So much for trying to give my business to the new location. Called 5pm on a Friday to see if Discount Tire would mount an ATV tire on a front wheel. The gentleman on the phone said come on in and you can wait for it. I arrived and parked, picked up my new tire and wheel from the back of my car. On a recent road trip from California to Yuma I exited 4th Avenue. On my first stop I noticed I had a flat tire.I searched yelp for the closest repair shop. I didn't t want to wait for triple A. Every place I called was about to close at 5:30. Nobody was willing to wait around for me. In a panic I called Discount Tire 10 minutes to there 6:00 closing. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly staff member. They got to working on my tire right away. I was out in less than 30 minutes. I was extremely grateful that they were able to help me. I know big O runs some good deals occasionally but the 1 time I went there to get my alignment done with my tire purchase it got forgotten about and unfortunately never done. Competitive prices and very good customer service. Yes, you may have to wait in line to speak to a representative, but that is a testament to their reputation. The owner of discount tire is a billionaire and he deserves it. I have bought probably 10 sets of tires from these guys. Always great service. Best advice I can give you is go online and get a price quote for tires Shipped to your door. They will honor the quote and often times near it before you even tell them what you found Online. Don't waste your money here. I've gone between both stores and have had the worst experience . I've had 2 flats in the past 6 months with new Michelin tires. So far they have broken my plate cover on my tire, gave me the wrong lug nut, oh and now one of my lug nuts from another tire fell off!!!! When in to the store on 32nd street to see if they put one one and at least the guy was quick and didn't argue with me, but hey at least I didn't die right. Please please do not waste your time with these guys. Was my first time trying them out because it was close my boyfriends work but I'll never go there again. You are better off going to Big O Tires or even Walmart. read more

My boyfriend and I were on our way home from San Diego and got a flat tire on the 8 about 60 miles west of Yuma. After putting on the donut in 100+ degree temperatures, we started driving to Yuma and called Discount Tire on the way. The manager, Matt, was very accommodating and pleasant and was willing to help us right away even though they were close to closing. Once we got there, we arranged to have the blown tire replaced along with the other rear tire which was also due. In addition, Matt offered to replace the front two since they were borderline for wear. They didn't have the brand of the two additional tires I wanted in that particular store but if we wanted this done, Matt was going to have one of his employees drive to the other store to pick up them up for us. In the interest of time we declined, but Matt then arranged for the two to be ordered to the closest store to us in Phoenix (and I just had them replaced 2 days ago). Not only was Matt kind and thorough, but he really impressed me when I expressed concern about my dogs being out in the heat while waiting for the work to be done - he allowed my boyfriend, my two dogs, and me to wait in the car with the air conditioning running while we had the tires replaced! The whole visit start to finish took less than an hour, and then we were on our way home. I hope to not blow a tire near Yuma in the near future, but if I do, I'll see Matt at Discount Tire on Yuma Palms. read more

I want to give Yuma Az team a shout out for making my experience right..! I bought some tires in Chula Vista Ca and wasn't sold that right tires. Not even a month from buying the tires I get a flat on my way to Az as i was driving on I8. It was terrifying. I called and spoke to 2 different Managers. I expressed my concerns and mention how unsatisfied I was with the tires. He asked several times if we were ok. I was traveling with my children. Thankfully we were ok. No one got hurt. He told me to go see Matt the store Manager in Yuma Az and he would take care of me. As soon as I got there I was approached by Steve and mentions all options I had. He educated me on what tire is best base on my needs. This wasn't showed to me. He showed me the ratings,reviews and specs on what's considered a better tire. I took my car to them three times when the check tire pressure gauge came on and three times was told the weather change had caused the tire's air pressure to decline. They put air into the tires and sent me off. When it came on for a fourth time I went to the 16th street Discount Tire and the tech immediately found a large nail in my tire. Discount is a great business but go to the 16th street location, not the Yuma Palms one! read more

In an emergency morning with school drop offs and work, I noticed my tire was completely flat. I went to discount tire and they were so efficient and quick with the service.... Brandon was extremely helpful and when telling him I had to leave by a certain time to get somewhere else he was on point with the time I would be done. Every time I go in the staff is always so professional and caring. They listen to your concerns and work with you to solve the problem. Today I went in and had my tires rotated and balanced which was free! Maybe that's because the tires were bought there. They send reminder emails to let you know its time to come in which is a life saver. They have a large lobby with a cooler full of water, plenty of magazines, and a clean bathroom. read more

Fuuuuuuckk the Yuma Palms pkwy location part 2 lol. Again the store located on 32nd st is awesome. Somebody went in for me with my tire and wheel because the night before I got a flat on my way home from work. And in the morning on my way to work, my spare blew out. So while I was waiting in the middle of nowhere somebody was trying to get a new tire for me, she was helped immediately at the 32nd st location, but they did not have the tire brand I had. So they sent her to the shitty Yuma Palms pkwy location, and it began. It took 15 min for someone to help her, the employee told her they had the tire brand and size, so he said i'll be back to ring you up and you'll be on your way. She stood in the lobby for 45 mins waiting on the guy helping her to come back to ring her up, nothing. When she finally asked someone when she was gonna be finished/ charged they asked what she was waiting for. When she told them they said "oh, thats been done a long time ago" the employee who helped her in the beginning was more interested in selling tires to another customer then finishing his transaction.
