Don't use the bathroom here! When you first walk in your smacked with a strong urine smell like the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in a long time! Urine all over the toilet seat and floor. No toilet paper (my partner asked for toilet paper and tissue and was told there was none) . Trash can full to the top. No soap. Need I explain more?! I'm not from NOLA and this is unacceptable! Do better!! If I could leave a zero I would! The only reason I even used this bathroom was cause it was the 3rd gas station I tried to find a bathroom and this gas station happened to be that one so instead of peeing myself I swatted and did what I had to do. read more

I stopped here twice. The first time to go to the bathroom. The does are locked and I had to go to Denny's (which is next door.) But while I had been trying to go potty I noticed they had Guava Jarritos. So I had to stop back the next day. It was $2.29 plus tax ($2.40). That is highway robbery. read more

They're just our local neighborhood convenience store, gas prices aren't bad, and the cashiers are respectful. The outside could use a renovation but overall their quality is better than most other stations in the area. read more

Let's get the real reason to stop and this small gas station... it regularly has the cheapest prices in the area. The pumps are tight and if you're driving a large vehicle be prepared to maneuver. The pumps are also fast. No waiting forever to fill up. As for safety, it's decently lit and it always has folks around, again, because it's cheap. I've never actually been in the store. Decent gas at a reasonable price. Easy access from east bound Veterans Blvd. The clerks always seem to be reasonable and not jerks. They are not the friendliest, but you can't expect everything. They do have spots to fill your tires with air and water. But don't get the two mixed up. Or that's what I've been told is to not get the two mixed up. Great gas prices, however, last night, like the previous reviewer experience, I also got $100 charged on my credid card. I actually pumped $8 worth of gas. I called the credit card company and they said the charge wasn't authorized and that anything above 50 bucks required authorization. They immediately canceled the transaction. It look to me something is working erratically with their computer system. My advice. Pay cash or stay clear from this gas station until they fix their problem. Certain credit card companies like Amx, allow one to set maximum alert limits and can email you automatically if it goes over the amount you program. It worked for me this time! read more

Always crowded but one of the few places in old Metairie that has diesel gas. If getting diesel, you can't swipe your credit card at the pump and have to pay inside. There's only 2 diesel pumps, one of which has a nozzle for regular sized vehicles, Pump #14. (I guess the other diesel pump is for monster trucks or commercial vehicles b/c the nozzle is huge.) For any type of gas you choose, this place has the best prices in the area, which is important b/c I can only use premium and diesel ga$e$. read more

It's a gas station. What else can I say? The gas is usually cheaper than other stations in the area and the store has a decent selection. But wait there is more.......... True story: One night about ten years ago, I was on my way home from a night out on the town. I was running low on gas and stopped at the discount zone on vets by Bonnable. I got out of my car and was immediately approached by older gentleman in his late 60s early 70s. He asked me if I could do him the biggest favor ever and bring him home. You see, he had a little bit too much to drink that night, wrecked his car and manged to get it to the station. He seemed like a nice guy and was wearing an expensive suit and the car was nice too. I asked him where he was going and it turned he lived right around the corner from my parents. I told him to get in but I had some mace ready just in case he decided to get old man pervy on me. When I dropped him off he gave me his business card and said if I ever got in trouble to call him. He was a lawyer and I saved him from getting disbarred that night. Well, 2 years later, I got into a little bit of trouble. I called him up and he remembered me. He fixed everything up and that's why this station gets 3 stars. Have went to this discount Zone at 1620 Veterans for years and enjoy buying my gasoline and many other things there. Then a young woman began working there who insist on listening too obscene music loudly and subjecting the customers to it refuse to turn it off and intimidated her co-worker. I would love to speak to the owner or manager but she refused to give me her name or their name if anybody can help me please do I'd love to go back someday. I've lived in this area for over 60 years and enjoy this part of New Orleans. This used to be a family place but no longer. Be careful if you have kids before you bring them in there because you will hear words you do not want them to hear coming out of the speakers in that store from her music. read more
