Coyoacan is an area a little further south of Roma and Condesa. It has its unique charm and feels…read morevery different than a lot of Mexico City. It doesn't seem as busy and it feels more like Mexico than many of the urban areas. This market is a part of what gives the area its charm. Because coyoacan is the home of Frida Kahlo, Coyoacan is known to be home to many artists. While I didn't see that on a Tuesday afternoon, I hear the weekends and nights are more lively. This market full of local vendors, but a lot of what's here is touristy souvenirs that aren't cheap. Was considering rating this 3 stars as I couldn't find anything I really wanted to buy; however I do think it's an essential part of the local flavor
