Recently, my house was broke into and they guys mowing my lawn notified their boss, Kevin, that they noticed tools oddly all over the yard. Kevin went to my house and called me immediately to report what he found. I asked to him to enter my house and garage and he told me I had things stolen and the place had been broke into. He called the Sheriff, filed the report for me and spent the day fixing my house so that no one could break in again. Kevin went over and beyond his service of just lawn care. We spent a considerable amount of money with this company last fall and we are very unhappy with…read morethe results. The job called for weed removal, mulching, and a native planting over a fairly large area. The job looked okay at completion before winter set in but I was concerned about how sparse the plantings were and this spring we have NOTHING but weeds. Per our contract with this company, they were to weed three times a year for the first two years or until the natives were firmly established. Kenny arrived in May and completed the first weeding, but within two weeks the weeds were thicker than ever. We then contacted a horticulturist to examine the work and we were upset with his findings. The weed remediation was inadequate as well as the number of natives planted. When I reached out to Kenny, he sent me an estimate for additional weeding and the cost to add more plants. Aside from the cost of weeding, the lack of plants should have been covered in our contract and he had no idea how to remedy the weed situation. Then, he just stopped communicating altogether. I would be very cautious to do business with this company.

After expanding my Webster Groves driveway to accommodate 2 cars, it left us with a dilemma. We…read morewere able to KEEP the beautiful Japanese Red Maple tree and, instead of leaving a small patch of grass to cut, Bluffside proposed a "rock stream" idea. Owner, Ryan H, visited with us twice, explained his plan, and provided images of similar jobs. They were able to meet our "holiday timetable" and it turned out wonderful. Plus, the rocks/boulders alleviate all the leaves and pine needles that accumulate in mulch (allows us to use a blower & eliminate, leaving a clean look). They are coming back in the spring to work on the back patio, fencing, and other misc jobs. We both decided "black mulch" would look better around the Japanese Red Maple, so Ryan came back, added, & even touched up the front planter boxes with the extra - - FREE of charge! Neighbors continue to comment on how great it looks & we strongly recommend Bluffside for your landscaping needs!
