I emailed in advance and sent him a $100 deposit through paypal for a vespa 300. Showed up on agreed day and he wasn't there, waited for almost an hour for him to show for him to tell me he doesn't have a 300 and only has a 150. He says pay me in full and take the 150 and ill bring the 300 to your hotel tonight when it returns. I also negotiated to leave my car as he would keep it locked inside his building for the 6 days as well. I took a pic if the odometer. I took the 150 to the hotel and parked it as I had no desire to ride it as it was junk. Later that night he messaged me saying he would bring the 300 in 45 minutes. So we left dinner early and hurried back to the hotel. I waited outside almost an hour for him to message me and say "come to my shop tomorrow 9am and ill give you 300" I explained id already been waiting for an hour and no response. Next morning I went to his shop at 9am and surprise, he wasn't there. His worker said they were trying to call him but no response. There was another couple there as they had an appointment too and waiting, I told the worker, " at 9:30am if Luciano is not here I'm leaving the 150 and the helmets here and taking my car," Luciano never showed and to this day has never responded. I took my car to find they had driven it 10km and found a cigarette lighter and a receipt from a farmacia in the passenger door, DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE.

Scooter was great start and run. Big box on the back for storing helmet back pack and souvenirs when on the go. Scooter runs and drives great came with 2 practically new helmets which we're the size we needed. Mario the ladies man he is even threw in a new Vespa scarf for my wife. We had to get coffee with him before we left and he insisted on paying since otherwise the neighbouring places would talk bad about him. Me and my wife did a fair share of driving taking it all the way out to Amalfi and passing Sorrento, Positano and more on the way out there. No problem for the scooter what so ever. Also going uphill to Vesuvius and Castel Saint Elmo was no problem. No lack of power nor stalling of any kind. The scooter did not came with a lock which was not necessary when we asked Mario. After being on the road is seems that he does service and maintenance for half of the scooters in Napels. After returning the scooter leaving my wife to pack in the hotel Mario was happy to see me again and was proud that we made it out as far as we did on his scooter. He pretty much told everybody over the same great coffee. Mario offered to take me back to the hotel when we picked up the scooter which was great. I even got 2 Neapolitan kisses on the cheap and off he went. All and all a great experience.

Giardini di Augusto - This restaurant is situated right off the same pathway that you take to the garden. The food and service were both fantastic!

There was a nominal entry fee and we were almost out of time, but we ended up going in and it was worth it. It also is a small property so we were able to move through in about 15 minutes. You can of course spend more time there as well, but in our 15 minutes, we were able to take some really nice pictures, walk the whole thing, and enjoy the plant life. The best part about it are the amazing views! You can see the Faraglioni and pretty much the whole south side of the island. There is also a walking path that you can take all the way down to Marina Piccolo from here but it was closed the day we were there.

If you're visiting Capri, I definitely recommend making time for the Gardens of Augustus. It's an…read moreeasy walk from Piazza Umberto if you're already in town--or a bit more of a workout if you're making the climb from Marina Grande instead of taking the funicular. Either way, the effort is well worth it for the views. Originally created in the early 1900s by German industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp, the gardens are simply landscaped with colorful flowers, shady paths, and a handful of benches to sit and take it all in. Admission is inexpensive, unlike many other activities on the island. The gardens are famous for their stunning panoramic views of the iconic Faraglioni sea stacks, the dramatic sea cliffs, the turquoise waters of Marina Piccola, and the winding Via Krupp carved into the cliffs below. With several viewing platforms throughout the grounds, each stop offers a slightly different perspective--and every view is worth taking in. There's also the popular bar and lounge, Capri Rooftop, next door. It's a bit pricey, but with the heat and those incredible views, I honestly would've been happy to pay for a cold drink and a chance to relax if we hadn't been short on time. I would recommend pairing the two, especially on hot summer days! Simple, scenic, and worth the stop!
