He takes his work seriously, and he worked fast to get both an accurate listing and awesome professional photos out. John had our home sold in one week for damn near asking price. We made tens of thousands over what we would have with Remax and FELT GOOD about what we paid for in commission. John did significantly more than our 6% guy who claimed to be the best of the best. I lived in Appleton Place apartments for 7 years. It is a nice, quiet place. My problem was with…read morethe check out procedure. I feel like management swindled me out of my security deposit and then some for what i believe to be "normal-wear-and tear". We did leave a stain on the carpet that was pretty much shampooed out. I have pictures to prove this. Average carpet lasts 7 years, and this carpet was over 7 years old.Management tried to get me to replace he carpet in the entire unit. I fought this. I ended up losing my entire security deposit and owed over $200. Management also stated that my blinds were dirty and that I would get charged. I attempted to remove the blinds so i could clean them, even though they are the cheap ones that rip easily. I was told by management that "between you and I, the company is going to replace them, so don't bother". Even though i was thankful for this, it made me think that they could possibly replacing everything and just trying to recover some money from me so they didn't have to pay for it all. I was also charged for them to clean the front loading washer- which is notorious for collecting mold and stains. (I cleaned this on a regular basis- so i am curious how they cleaned it better than me.) I was also charged for the cleaning of tracks in between the patio doors, which collected grease. (didn't even know this was a thing?) I feel like Morgenson Realty took advantage of me. I would've taken this to court, however between court fees and time i would need to take off work- YOU WIN. Not to mention, i was told i would get a call back as to how we would settle this. Next thing i know, i receive a letter from collections! This was a terrible way to end a 7 year relationship that we had an overall good experience with up until this point. One of the things that baffles me- my checkout was finished around 12:30pm on Friday. By 4pm, the new tenants had moved in. I don't know how all this carpet was ripped up and replaced in this time frame, along with re-painting and getting those other things cleaned and ready for the new tenants. They must have worked very very fast. I had friends that checked out the day before and they had a similar experience.
