Just finished my meal and came to update you all. Food, still 10/10. Service, still 10/10 (shout out to Meghan!), and ambiance is always tea. Will be back again and again. PRO TIP: request Meghan when you make a reservation to maximize your dining experience.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta Great food and service always I am vegan so it's not difficult for me to find some options.

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from this restaurant... but I'm happy to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere, decor and music were all incredible. The restaurant itself was an old house that looks like a castle, in the middle of Atlanta. Perfect for a date night! We wanted to try a little bit of a few dishes, so we got some potatoes for starters.. delicious. But the habanero sauce that comes with it, is no joke. Spicy! Then we got some chicken and beef kabobs with basmati rice. Delicious! And to finish it off.. we got some baklava with saffron ice cream. Yum!! All the staff there is super friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by next time you're around downtown Atlanta, you'll thank me later.

I recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Divan, and it was my first time at their new location. I used to visit the old restaurant, but over time, it lost a bit of its appeal for me. Still, I was excited to check out this historic home. The inside is gorgeous. They did a great job with the space, and there are plenty of private rooms, which is great for events. One thing to note--there's an elevator, which some of the women in heels wished they had known about before climbing three flights of stairs. The elevator is functional, but I could see them making it a design highlight down the line. They also have several patios for outdoor dining, tucked into different corners of the home, which is a nice touch. Now, about the food. Divan offers both food and hookah, so naturally, one is going to stand out a bit more. The menu has a lot of choices, but I'd say the food was just okay. It looks nice on the plate, but aside from a couple of dishes, it feels like your standard Atlanta hookah restaurant. With places like Delbar, Yalda, and Rumi's in the mix, Divan is facing some stiff competition. It used to be the go-to restaurant, but for me, it's faded a bit. Still, I'd happily come back for hookah and some small bites, which seems to be their sweet spot now. The restaurant's atmosphere does give off a more premium feel than the food really matches. I had the beet salad, which was tasty, though the goat cheese was blended into a creamy sauce instead of chunks--still good, but I prefer the chunks. It was mostly arugula, and I missed the mandarin oranges. The lamb bolognese, though, was genuinely tasty. As for drinks, I had the Dragon's Tail and Persian Smash--both were fine, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable enough. I have a feeling sitting on the main floor might offer a slightly better experience, but that's just a hunch. All in all, Divan is a great place if you're looking for a decent meal and hookah. It may not be the top choice if you're after the best regional cuisine, but if you want to relax, eat, and enjoy hookah it's a win!

My party of 3 had an 8:30 reservation on a Friday night. They got our table ready while we parked. Our table was in a small cozy room, which I found nice so that we could hear each other talk. Our server was great! I believe his name was Que. He gave us time to browse the menu and have honest feedback on the dishes we asked about, which was much appreciated! This was my first time coming but my family member have been here before. All of the food was well done. For starters we had the roasted cauliflower. It was well seasoned and the sauce underneath was great and went well with the crispy chickpeas. Between us we had the grilled tandoori wings, koobideh kabob, mussels, and salmon Alfredo. Everything was well seasoned and well cooked. The kabob was tender and even the rice accompaniment was well executed. We also had desserts and drinks which were great as well. I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I visited for the first time yesterday 3/28/26 for our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the most amazing dinner with top tier service. The restaurant seems that it used to be a home renovated into a 3 or 4 floor restaurant. It's more of an upscale vibe which I appreciate. Cocktails here are made in a way in which you only need 1 maybe 2 and the food is delicious! The complimentary dessert and champagne well a nice touch that we truly appreciated. This was a very memorable anniversary for us and I'm glad we selected here to share our time, a great meal and reflective and comical conversation.

I have had dinner there for several times. The food was delicious and unique, the dining area looked good, the service was not bad, but the restrooms were awful. Though labeled as a Persian restaurant, the food there is different from what you get in the most Persian restaurants in town. It is more like "bar food style Persian dishes with some Mediterranean twist". For appetizers, try the duck leg confit (my fav app), carrots with labneh or watermelon salad. For entree, I tried the koobideh kebab and beef shish kebab and both were good. Note that the ground meats they use for koobideh kebab was lean, thus making the kebab more dense--but it was not chewy at all. And if you do not want to carb-load, you can always sub the rice with other sides, such as the spicy-sour cauliflower. Plus, their naan is not as salty as those in e.g. Rumi's and Yalda. The staff there were friendly but sometimes it takes quite a while to order the food or to get my dishes. What I really do not like is the restrooms there. Pretty small, dated, and worst of all dirty (e.g. pee and paper towels scattered around). If they were cleaner I might give 5 stars lol

Top-tier restaurant for a birthday dinner! My beau and I celebrated his birthday at Divan and it was divine. The Mediterranean décor gives the restaurant an upscale vibe. There's several seating options--upstairs, downstairs, bar, and rooftop. We both started with the Duck Leg Confit and it did not disappoint! The skin was nice a crispy with a glaze and the inside tender. My entrée selection was the Koobideh Kabob (ground beef & lamb, saffron, and roasted potatoes. I tasted his Blackened Verlasso Salmon dish and it was nice and light. The food was seasoned to perfection. The complimentary birthday options are ice cream or a champagne toast. Our waitress, Meet, was attentive and pleasant from start to end. Dillan in valet ($10 plus tips) was on point. He had our car waiting immediately after we sent the text. Overall, we highly recommend Divan!

If you're in the mood for a vibrant night out in the city and have a soft spot for hookah, Mediterranean flavors, and cocktails under the stars, Divan is your go-to spot. With both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a dedicated hookah lounge, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively. The food is flavorful and authentic, with generous portions that truly satisfy. Pair that with their brilliantly crafted cocktails, and you've got yourself a complete evening experience. Whether you're catching up with friends or planning a laid-back date night, Divan delivers on all fronts. Just be sure to book your reservations ahead for weekends--this popular spot fills up fast!

A top tier experience from the valet to the presentation of the bill. High ceilings, cozy but elegant atmosphere, this is a great spot to date night or a family dinner. We started with the hummus duo, which included roasted chickpea hummus, tabouleh and a cucumber yogurt dip with a fig jam over it. Next, we had the goat cheese, which was covered in pickled fennel, honey, lemon and LOVE. If you don't have the goat cheese, you are cheating yourself. You can use the flatbread to eat the goat cheese like a dessert. Finally, we had the lamb burger with roasted cauliflower and the koubideh kebab with basmati rice. The basmati rice had saffron rice, pomegranate seeds, mint and spices on top. It was also served with a roasted Roma tomato and pickled vegetables.

We had a team dinner here and it was delicious! The ambiance upstairs was really nice and cozy. Our server was attentive and super nice. I had the lamb chops and they were cooked perfectly and the spinach was surprisingly delicious. The portion was large so I definitely had leftovers to take. The lamb bolognese and the filet mignon my colleagues got looked great and they really liked it. I was initially sad we weren't getting southern food since everyone was from all over the country, but I'm glad we chose this spot.

Stopped in for dinner after catching a show at the Alliance Theater. Make a reservation! It was busy. We had a group of 8 seated at a large table on the middle level. The food is delicious! Our table enjoyed the lamb burger, lamb kabobs, duck confit, hot potatoes, and more. For a large table service kept pace pretty well. There is also an upstairs(I think hookah is there). Great ambiance for date night.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! If I lived here I think I'd visit weekly. The food was spectacular, and I loved the historic setting. The cauliflower app was beautifully prepared, and despite my husband not liking eggplant, he loved ithe appetizer I ordered too. Spicy shrimp perfectly cooked, like the chicken kebab. The shitazi here does not have onion- a plus for hubs who doesn't like onion. And the the Dubai chocolate tiramisu is hands down the best tiramisu I've ever had- everyone should make it this way! Perfect spot for after a show at Woodruff!

There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on this menu whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater.

We were greeted by smiles and a welcoming team at the host table and I quickly appreciated the Mediterranean charm of the restaurant -- I felt like I could have been in Rick's Cafe Americain or the Blue Parrot! The dim lighting offered a great blend of intimacy and privacy, while still letting me see the people at my table and the food! And the food! My goodness, the food! We had a wonderful sampling of shared appetizers. The hummus and Dill labneh were solid and would have been deemed more than worthy by my Lebanese grandmother! Olives were a revelation, and were done in a preparation that included pomegranate which paired really well with the brine of the olives! The star of the first round, however, was the whole cauliflower, roasted and spiced. Without reservation, I can say it is the most I have ever enjoyed cauliflower - and I shall return for it again! I was already full by the time my falafel arrived for my main course. Falafel was exactly as it was supposed to be, and it was good. I ate it all, and then, a la Violet Beauregard upon leaving the chocolate factory, had to be rolled out of the restaurant! Our server and his food runners were all gems! The manager also came by to chat with us a couple of times. Great people at Delbar!

Ate here for my birthday in Spring 2026…read more The service was REALLY good. Our drinks were never empty, but they were not intrusive. Super warm and nice, but also don't take over your time. The perfect balance. The food - just incredible. We all got something different and I got to taste each one. The Chicken Barg Kabob was everyone's favorite. The Chicken kabob is VERY close though. I got the Soltani which was also amazing. The thing to do though is sub out the Zereshk Polo rice. You won't regret it. I got a little adventurous and ordered the Torshi - pickled vegetables. I'm not really into vegetables and I was a little worried when it showed up and didn't look very appealing to me - but it was SO good. Loved it. The staff were seemingly entertained that I liked it - apparently it's only Persian people that are into it, and they kind of laughed when I wanted to take the leftovers with me. My son liked it too though! And he's picky. We were getting ready to go when suddenly they brought an ice cream and wished me happy birthday. I think they heard my son wish me a happy birthday at dinner. Just really paying attention to detail. So this bright yellow Persian ice cream shows up. I've never had it. It is really different - like a cross between dinner and desert flavors. That doesn't sound good but trust me it's great. Again, my picky son loved it! It's got a saffron-pistachio-rose thing going on that actually really works! Much of this is probably very familiar to those who have enjoyed Persian food before. For our family it was a new and wonderful experience. I love this restaurant and DEFINITELY want to come back for Father's day. This is going to be my new special occasion spot.

It was topped with whipped feta that was super airy. Stuffed branzino: the fish was perfectly charred and deboned which made it very easy to eat. Chicken harissa: this was our group's favorite dish of the night. It was perfectly spiced and had a nice kick to it. Sabzi polo: basmati rice topped with fried scallions. This goes perfectly well with the chicken and Bronzino. Pistachio lava cake: this was a delightful to an amazing meal. The cake has molten white chocolate filling and topped with cardamom ice cream. It was perfectly sweetened and not too heavy. This was the top meal of this trip!

Finally got the chance to try out Delbar!…read more We arrived early for our reservation, so we decided to sit at the bar while waiting. To hold us over, we ordered the hummus and Za'taar fries. The hummus came topped with fried chickpeas, which was such a nice addition-- I'd never had them prepared that way before, and the crunch added great texture. The fries had a nice cut and flavor, but they weren't as crispy as I'd hoped. I'd order the hummus again, though probably not the fries. Once we finished our appetizers, we were escorted to our table, which ended up being a pretty tight fit. We were seated at a two-person table between two larger groups of four, so it felt a bit cramped. Honestly, had we known the seating situation beforehand, we would've dined at the bar since it felt much more comfortable for dining and conversation. By that point, we were slightly full from the appetizers, so we decided to share just the Hanger Steak and the Polo Sefid. The steak smelled incredible and tasted just as good-- definitely a great choice! As for the rice, I may have gone in with high expectations after seeing so many pictures of it on social media, but for me, it was just decent. My boyfriend and I weren't huge fans of it since the grains kept getting stuck in our teeth. The service throughout the night was excellent. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming. Our server, Lance, was attentive and helpful with recommendations, refills, and checking in on us. I also loved the aesthetic of the restaurant. From walking through the doors and sitting down, everything was pretty. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend checking out Delbar!

Looking for a cute, classy Turkish restaurant in the heart of Virginia Highlands. This is your…read morespot! I went for happy hour which I highly recommend. It's from 3-6pm Monday through Thursday (I believe). They have $6-8 cocktails and a variety of food in the $5-10 range. The food was all fantastic, as was our waiter. He constantly checked on us, kept the complimentary bread supplied, and gave great recs for both food and cocktails. I love a waiter who explains the menu so you know what you're getting into beforehand. As we were leaving, it was torrentially down-pouring and the host was so kind to let me borrow his umbrella to get to my car. It's rare to find this level of hospitality these days and it made my already great experience here even better.

Spots I would rather recommend for a nice night out are Delbar, Rumi's, and Yalda. My friends and I tried the Muhammara Dip, the Feta Cheese Rolls (reminiscent of spanakopita but no spinach and in roll form), the Truva Dumplings, and the Iskender Kebab. The Iskender Kebab and the Muhammara were the best of the bunch, but overall I think I was expecting more punch from the spices and greater nuance in the flavors of each dish. The thing I honestly enjoyed most was the complimentary bread and sun-dried tomato dip, which has gotten a number of shoutouts of Yelp already. I would come back to this spot to get a handful of appetizers, eat that bread, and hang out for a few hours. It does seem like the restaurant needs more staffing. Everyone we saw was very kind, but it took a long time to get a server's attention whenever we needed something.
