Farid and Meek took great care of us! This is one of my all time favorite places to dine. Food is always a 10! We had the chicken kabobs, salmon verlasso, and lamb burgers. Always a 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Food 10/10

Just finished my meal and came to update you all. Food, still 10/10. Service, still 10/10 (shout out to Meghan!), and ambiance is always tea. Will be back again and again. PRO TIP: request Meghan when you make a reservation to maximize your dining experience.

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from this restaurant... but I'm happy to say that we were very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere, decor and music were all incredible. The restaurant itself was an old house that looks like a castle, in the middle of Atlanta. Perfect for a date night! We wanted to try a little bit of a few dishes, so we got some potatoes for starters.. delicious. But the habanero sauce that comes with it, is no joke. Spicy! Then we got some chicken and beef kabobs with basmati rice. Delicious! And to finish it off.. we got some baklava with saffron ice cream. Yum!! All the staff there is super friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by next time you're around downtown Atlanta, you'll thank me later.

I recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Divan, and it was my first time at their new location. I used to visit the old restaurant, but over time, it lost a bit of its appeal for me. Still, I was excited to check out this historic home. The inside is gorgeous. They did a great job with the space, and there are plenty of private rooms, which is great for events. One thing to note--there's an elevator, which some of the women in heels wished they had known about before climbing three flights of stairs. The elevator is functional, but I could see them making it a design highlight down the line. They also have several patios for outdoor dining, tucked into different corners of the home, which is a nice touch. Now, about the food. Divan offers both food and hookah, so naturally, one is going to stand out a bit more. The menu has a lot of choices, but I'd say the food was just okay. It looks nice on the plate, but aside from a couple of dishes, it feels like your standard Atlanta hookah restaurant. With places like Delbar, Yalda, and Rumi's in the mix, Divan is facing some stiff competition. It used to be the go-to restaurant, but for me, it's faded a bit. Still, I'd happily come back for hookah and some small bites, which seems to be their sweet spot now. The restaurant's atmosphere does give off a more premium feel than the food really matches. I had the beet salad, which was tasty, though the goat cheese was blended into a creamy sauce instead of chunks--still good, but I prefer the chunks. It was mostly arugula, and I missed the mandarin oranges. The lamb bolognese, though, was genuinely tasty. As for drinks, I had the Dragon's Tail and Persian Smash--both were fine, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable enough. I have a feeling sitting on the main floor might offer a slightly better experience, but that's just a hunch. All in all, Divan is a great place if you're looking for a decent meal and hookah. It may not be the top choice if you're after the best regional cuisine, but if you want to relax, eat, and enjoy hookah it's a win!

My party of 3 had an 8:30 reservation on a Friday night. They got our table ready while we parked. Our table was in a small cozy room, which I found nice so that we could hear each other talk. Our server was great! I believe his name was Que. He gave us time to browse the menu and have honest feedback on the dishes we asked about, which was much appreciated! This was my first time coming but my family member have been here before. All of the food was well done. For starters we had the roasted cauliflower. It was well seasoned and the sauce underneath was great and went well with the crispy chickpeas. Between us we had the grilled tandoori wings, koobideh kabob, mussels, and salmon Alfredo. Everything was well seasoned and well cooked. The kabob was tender and even the rice accompaniment was well executed. We also had desserts and drinks which were great as well. I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I visited for the first time yesterday 3/28/26 for our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the most amazing dinner with top tier service. The restaurant seems that it used to be a home renovated into a 3 or 4 floor restaurant. It's more of an upscale vibe which I appreciate. Cocktails here are made in a way in which you only need 1 maybe 2 and the food is delicious! The complimentary dessert and champagne well a nice touch that we truly appreciated. This was a very memorable anniversary for us and I'm glad we selected here to share our time, a great meal and reflective and comical conversation.

I have had dinner there for several times. The food was delicious and unique, the dining area looked good, the service was not bad, but the restrooms were awful. Though labeled as a Persian restaurant, the food there is different from what you get in the most Persian restaurants in town. It is more like "bar food style Persian dishes with some Mediterranean twist". For appetizers, try the duck leg confit (my fav app), carrots with labneh or watermelon salad. For entree, I tried the koobideh kebab and beef shish kebab and both were good. Note that the ground meats they use for koobideh kebab was lean, thus making the kebab more dense--but it was not chewy at all. And if you do not want to carb-load, you can always sub the rice with other sides, such as the spicy-sour cauliflower. Plus, their naan is not as salty as those in e.g. Rumi's and Yalda. The staff there were friendly but sometimes it takes quite a while to order the food or to get my dishes. What I really do not like is the restrooms there. Pretty small, dated, and worst of all dirty (e.g. pee and paper towels scattered around). If they were cleaner I might give 5 stars lol

Top-tier restaurant for a birthday dinner! My beau and I celebrated his birthday at Divan and it was divine. The Mediterranean décor gives the restaurant an upscale vibe. There's several seating options--upstairs, downstairs, bar, and rooftop. We both started with the Duck Leg Confit and it did not disappoint! The skin was nice a crispy with a glaze and the inside tender. My entrée selection was the Koobideh Kabob (ground beef & lamb, saffron, and roasted potatoes. I tasted his Blackened Verlasso Salmon dish and it was nice and light. The food was seasoned to perfection. The complimentary birthday options are ice cream or a champagne toast. Our waitress, Meet, was attentive and pleasant from start to end. Dillan in valet ($10 plus tips) was on point. He had our car waiting immediately after we sent the text. Overall, we highly recommend Divan!

Then I ordered albaloo polo, à la carte koobideh kabob and Mast Khiyar. But my server forgot to place the order of the last dish. And it took over 40 minutes' wait to get my food. Worse, there was no diced cucumbers in the yogurt. Probably they mistook my order for Mast Musir which is yogurt with shallots. Worst of all, even if the restaurant says it accepts OpenTable dining credits, the dining credits actually could not be used in the restaurant! Or at least, the staff did not know how to use it. No apologies, no remedies. I was disappointed. For a reference, I dine in at Rumi's Kitchen (Colony Sq/Sandy Spring branch) at least twice a month.

Let's start of with how beautifully embellished the restaurant is. It's a refined fusion of modern elegance & old-world Persian heritage, that celebrates Persian hospitality & culture. Once seated you're gifted a complimentary starter Sabzi Plate that includes fresh herbs, feta cheese, walnuts, Castelvetrano olives, crunchy radish, and premium walnuts. I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

The Iskender Kebab and the Muhammara were the best of the bunch, but overall I think I was expecting more punch from the spices and greater nuance in the flavors of each dish. The thing I honestly enjoyed most was the complimentary bread and sun-dried tomato dip, which has gotten a number of shoutouts of Yelp already.
