1/5 stars for their mini golf course. - For a place out of the park district, they're charging $11/18 holes which seems steep for what you actually get + $6 for parking/hour (limited parking spaces) - They have 1 size club for adults and 1 size for kids. Other places I've been to wash their balls and clubs after you're done, but this one is not clean. - Course is in bad condition with dirty water and unpatched turf - Course is also boring. You can charge $11 when you have a nice course with fun obstacles but when it looks like this, it best be under $5. I didn't try the driving range, but if you're looking for a mini golf place, this is not it.

Great location and fantastic scenery but could use an upgrade on their customer service. To start, I asked to borrow clubs but they didn't have a set with a driver. Huh? I understand most people will come with their own clubs but not having a single driver to rent is crazy. The range is tidy and like that there are multiple levels. The attendant wasn't terribly helpful for someone who was first time visiting.

Original plans were to hit up the driving ranges but due to certain circumstances plans changed and we brought the kids along with us so we did the miniature golf which was fun but man 18 holes is a long time that they even lost interested towards the end haha but it was very hot out!

Great place to lay back and hit some balls at the bottom or top of the driving range. Good for groups and/couples to try the putting greens, they have two. The employees are consistently polite and genuinely care for their customers. They also have a mini golf area, but I have never tried. I see mostly families with kids try and they seem to enjoy it. There is parking on the street but it is rare to find, but there is always parking in their parking lot. 4 dollars for an hour, 8 dollars for two to four hours. Fun fact: they are open year round & in the lower part of the range have some heat lamps which is convenient.

A good place to practice or just release stress after a hard day, or week. In a beautiful setting by the lake front, and, if you choose to use the upper deck, some spectacular views of lake Michigan and the  city skyline; although, during the summer months, some of the best views are blocked by the trees. This place is worth visiting for the atmosphere along. There is a beautiful miniature golf course attached, a grill/cafe at the entrance and clay tennis courts on the East side, but those are reviews for another day. There are plenty of coaches available if you want to improve your game with a private lesson. They are open all year around, with heating lamps to keep customers somewhat warm. Weekends are crowded, but I have never had a problem finding a bay open, even if it is not centrally located, as is my preference. About my only complaint would be outdated and poorly kept bathrooms. The price is a bit high, especially when you include parking fees, but like in real estate, location is everything, and this is the only range in town; this part of town anyway.

I didn't think I'd be a golfer but I have to admit this is fun! Especially when you bring drinks from the bar next door

Great space, decent clubs to rent and they're doing a great job with how they're limiting numbers during Covid.

One is a library kinda like Harry Potter. The other is snow/ski lodge themed. The reservation option for unlimited play and food tickets was a pretty good deal at around $40. With a group of 3 people each course ended up taking about 30 minutes. Some of the courses were kinda hard and we ended up just skipping after 6 tries since that's the max score. There were times when the screen glitched out or when the previous people at the course left their scorecard and it needed to be cleared. It wasn't that big of deal but one of us did have to get an employee from the dining area when this happened (at the ski lodge course). The software is pretty cool, you use the tablet at each station and once you finish inputting your score, your group's scorecard will automatically pop up at the next location. Perfect fun especially when you go at a time that's not too busy. We went on Mother's Day evening so maybe that's not a popular activity for mother's. Overall I'd recommend puttery to anybody that enjoys mini golf or wants a fun date idea.

The course itself is set up like a library and it was really neat because you couldn't see everything all at once you had to do lots of twists and turns. It was challenging, but not overly difficult. Definitely set up more for adults than kids, but still counts as play. I'm excited to see what their other courses are like on other floors.

This means the fries and chips are a cross-contamination risk. When I informed our server that I have Celiac and asked which cocktails were safe, he immediately went to check and verify with the manager, and then let me know the margarita was safe. I deeply appreciated that he took my condition seriously and looped in management to ensure everything was good. The manager then came over to discuss options and was incredibly transparent, letting me know right away that the flatbread would also not be safe for Celiac due to cross-contamination. For our meal, we shared the roasted sweet potatoes, and the kitchen took the extra step to cook them in a separate pan to ensure they were safe. They were absolutely delicious. For my main, I ordered the Beyond Burger with cheddar cheese on a gluten-free bun. Since I couldn't have any of the standard sides due to the fryer, the server kindly offered a side salad with a safe, gluten-free dressing instead. It was also a nice bonus to see they have a gluten-free brownie for dessert. The staff really saved the night here. The server was highly attentive and constantly checked with the manager or kitchen to verify ingredients, and the manager even came back near the end of our meal to personally check in and make sure I was feeling okay. If you have Celiac, you will have to navigate around the fryer and flatbreads, but the staff's carefulness, communication, and willingness to adapt dishes made me feel very safe dining here. I would definitely come back!

On multiple instances our group of 12 was holding up the line for parties after us, getting glares from other patrons and staff isn't ever fun. We were never informed we could play multiple holes at once or didn't have to wait for the entire party to finish the hole to move onto the next. It seemed like our party, and the 4 parties waiting after us also didn't know this, so we felt pressured to run through the course to be out of the way, which was not enjoyable, but fine I can let that go. Our party went to order cocktails. THREE separate cocktails (margarita, paloma, boogie juice) they were out of the ingredients to make all three. Waitress didn't offer a different suggestion rather just had us rattle off more drinks while she checked whether they were available or not. Extremely disorganized and discouraging. Our party brought 2 cake and our own plates/napkins. We split the cakes, left our belongings at the table and went to play another round and get some shots at the bar. When we came back to our table both of our cakes were THROWN OUT by staff but left us the boxes the cakes came in. GREAT thanks for leaving the boxes and tossing the cake. All in all, if you're looking for a place for a group larger than 6, with ingredients to make a basic cocktail, and common sense customer service, DO NOT come to Puttshack- Skokie. Side note: at least 1 of the bartenders was nice.

We all loved the mini bites and appetizers served. Everything was delicious! I especially loved the coconut shrimp and mini sliders! There were a lot of great options for vegetarians, GF and dairy free eaters. The papa itself is a fun time but is pretty quick. It's a fun take on classic mini golf where you're actually trying to get more points and have a higher score versus a low score. The putt putt holes are super short and I can't imagine someone could possibly get over 3 or 4 on a hole unless they were really not trying. I think this worked well for a corporate event because we were enjoying making small talk and being casual about the experience, but I don't know that I would come here on a first date or with a group of friends because we would just move through the mini golf course so quickly. But if you are looking for just a little activity to do before enjoying the food and bar at this location then give it a try!
