I explained that I was a huge Audie Murphy fan and just had to check this place out after reading about it online. He immediately lit up and said, "Well, now, because of that, I will personally give you a tour and the backstory on how this all came about!" He introduced himself as Chet and spent a good part of an hour telling my friend and I how he and Tom built this place with discarded material from Audie Murphy's own ranch after the original structures were torn down. The property is rented for weddings, receptions, hootenannies, you name it! My only regret is that I don't live closer to take advantage of this amazing place.
