Divine Wellness Spa is a small body massage service spa. It is located in a small plaza along Las Tunas Drive. And they're open 7 days a week from 10 am - 9 pm. After a full day of sport activity at the beach yesterday, my body was in dire need of muscle relief. I walked-in Sunday morning at DWS for a full-body massage. They have different prices starting from $50 (foot massage) to $60 (body; combo) to $70 acupressure. I chose the 1-hour combo with hot stones. I was met by a female manager/owner. I proceeded to one of their dim lit room suite. It was neat with a relaxing atmosphere. My female masseuse (Mary) is exceptionally skilled, and applied the right amount of body pressure. I lay there with oil on my back and she worked on it thoroughly. And I overheard her say "Wow" in a soft voice while rubbing my upper trapezius and latissimus dorsai muscles. I almost fell asleep during the session. The session ended with my body muscles relieved of tension and ache. Staff were nice and welcoming. I tipped my masseuse $20 and thanked the staff. Overall, I had a great massage spa service. I highly recommend DWS. read more

Booked an appointment over the phone and asked for pricing and the lady said $50. I even asked is it five zero. She said yes. Went to the location, small parking but it also have street parking. Read the sign, I forgot which day is no parking but found parking pretty easily on the street. Went in and was in a small "room". The ceiling is open so when the workers are talking in Chinese, you can still hear them. It'll be better if they tried to whisper. The massage itself was really good. There was enough pressure and the lady was not just doing whatever to pass the time. Continously massaging in different areas and the not so common areas like between the toes and hands. Docked a star for when I went to pay she said it was $60 for private room and body/foot massage. I was a little surprised as I asked for the price a day before. The massage itself wasn't bad. The therapist who worked on me was actually great and did a good job getting all my knots out. My issue is with the pricing and tipping pressure. When I called, I was told a one-hour body massage was $50. During the massage, I was told that because I had a lot of knots, it had to be changed to an deeper tissue massage and would now be $60. Fine. At the end, I tipped $10 in cash. The therapist then told me the tip needed to be more and that it wasn't enough. She asked to charge the tip to my card, which I agreed to -- and then entered $20 as the tip herself. That's over 30% on a $60 service. Even 20% would be $12. I understand tipping culture, but tips are optional, not something customers should be pressured or haggled into. After reading other reviews, I see many people have had the same experience here. Review in 2026: I'm an repeating patron who has been getting my full body massage needs from Devine wellness spa for years. I always call ahead to make an appointment so you should do the same. The female who answers the phone is Jessica, who owns the spa business so just check with her on availability and see if they're busy. They also take walk-ins but I find it easier to call in first when I need a massage. I normally visit the spa in the afternoon during the week day so making a appointment is fast, quick, and easy. The rooms in the spa are clean and private. Clean white sheets for hygiene and relaxing music playing in the background to help relax you before the session starts. The masseur will first start massaging your back followed by walking on your back to relax those tight muscles. If you don't like having your back walked on. Just tell the masseur instead of complaining about your pain and bruises. The key to having a good experience here is to communicate with your masseur if you are feel pain or if you prefer to have a particular body part needing more attention. By this point you should feel pretty relaxed. The masseur will then continue massaging your back again using body oil and heated stones treatment. Very relaxing (The negative reviews) Most of the negative reviews on here seems to be issues about the tips and payments. While everyone's experience and interactions are different. I can't say what's right or wrong. I always pay in cash for the hour long session which is $50 and I always tip $20 to my masseur. That's just me. Why? For one, giving somebody a full massage for an hour is pretty physically tiring. Just because it's $50 for an hour doesn't mean the masseur makes that amount. $20 is my way to show appreciation for the masseur having to constantly use physical strength during the session and also for them to earn some extra income on their low wages they probably earn. Just like a restaurant server. A server earns more income from their tips not from their hourly wages. You can't fault people for wanting to earn a little extra if they're giving you a good experience. But at the end of the day, tip whatever you feel comfortable with. The best! My favorite massage place by far. First of all the massage is excellent. The masseuses are well trained with years of experience. Second the place is super clean everywhere you look including in the bathroom. Third it's stylishly decorated and has a cozy feeling. Fourth the manager Jessica is simply a wonderful person. They also have heated massage beds, hot stones, and no extra charge and optional back walking. It's a classy place in a classy experience all the way around. I've never been pressured for a tip. In fact no one's ever even mentioned a tip at all, but I've always been generous because I know this is such a great value compared to more expensive places. read more

My boyfriend went in for an appointment today and was excited as it was his first massage ever. We were told that the price for an hour long massage would be $60, which he was charged when he arrived. At the end of the massage he got up and handed his masseuse a $10 tip. She immediately said no and asked him to her him a $20 tip, which he felt forced to and ended up having to do. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience ended up being an uncomfortable and rude one. A tip is optional and not only that, but the masseuse wasn't grateful for what was originally given, which was already 18%. Never recommending this place and never coming back. I was driving through the area and wanted to get a massage! I was able to do walk-in and paid $50 for a full body massage. The experience was nice and relaxing. My masseuse made sure I was comfortable and it was the ideal pressure. She later did hot stones and oil which was included in the massage. Overall it was a good experience, however I was disappointed at the end when I was leaving tip. I gave 20% ($10) and my masseuse was pressuring me to give more. She said "normally customers who have a good experience will tip $15-20." Although the massage was really nice, I didn't like this comment and won't be coming back because of this. I am doing an updated review of Divine Wellness because I tried something new to me there. My upper left leg was hurting. I don't think it was from the stress of running on the tennis court. I don't think it was the actual muscle, but I think it was a nerve problem. I believe I was sitting on the dining room chair too long and that chair actually is sort of hard causing pain. I think it affected the nerve that runs down the butt and leg because it started after sitting on the chair, also I had no pain after playing tennis the previous day. I put Tiger Balm gel on and it only gave minimal relief and didn't fix the issue. I think Tiger Balm is good for certain ailments like an actual sore muscle but nerve pain it won't fix, it masked the pain and the pain came back. So it temporarily relieved pain which is okay. You ask how do I know it is the nerve and not the muscle? It is because it was a sharp pain in the muscle and I also felt it in my butt and at times it ran down my leg and sometimes just at a certain point on my leg. I explained my problem to ChiChi and she suggested acupressure. I have never had acupressure before but I did have an idea what it is, so I said yes. It is $10 more than the normal massage but it is well worth it. I understand why it cost more because it is a lot more work for the masseuse. She gets a real work out doing it. It is hard on her hands I bet. $10 isn't very much more money. So ChiChi did acupressure on my leg and my butt where it hurt. As I said before, I think the source of the problem is the nerve in the butt muscle that runs down the leg. So she worked on the source of the problem and worked down the leg. Acupressure does hurt, but remember, no pain, no gain. It hurts but that pressure is needed to relieve the pain in the long run. Maybe I had sciatica, I suspect that is it. Well, I say that the acupressure helped a lot. I still had the leg pain after but much less. It helped, then within a couple days I was fine. It did come back again but much less, then went away then came back a little then went away. Now I am fine and has been gone for good about a week later. I try to get a massage once a month because I work and play sports, so as a nice muscle relaxer and stress reliever a massage feels good. This time I came back in two weeks rather than one month because of stress from work, but mainly I wanted to do a followup to my acupressure session two weeks prior. It is true my leg problem was fixed the last time but I wanted to do a follow up acupressure session to insure it doesn't come back. This is a Chinese massage spa, and remember, this is just not massage, they are skilled in the ancient art of massage. Chinese have a 5,000 year civilization. I an sure after all those years they developed skills that other cultures haven't. I believe they can find issues and fix issues non-Chinese masseuses can't. She found issue with my stomach and massaged it. She asked if I was eating spicy food and also cold drinks. She got that right. I had a lot of spicy Mexican food the day before, and a lot of freezing cold ice water and ice cream the day before and the day of the massage. She suggested drinking hot water, tea and lay off spicy food, and eat cucumbers and fruit. LOL all things I don't do except for fruit occasionally. I will give a try. I don't think a non-Chinese masseuse could have diagnosed that. Chinese have that ancient art of massage and determining problems that are not obvious to others. My ex-girlfriend was a masseuse and she said she massaged a client who she said had a problem, I think a disease that she determined from just a massage and she was right. I forget the disease and I can't ask her because we broke up a few years ago. Chinese masseuses are amazing how they can determine things. I also had another girlfriend years ago who had a foot massage and the male masseuse said she had a problem with her uterus, simply by massaging her feet. Turns out she had fibroids in her uterus. Due to this she went to see a doctor who determined this was true and had them removed. I no longer have this girlfriend but I remember how amazing it is the masseuse knew she hat a uterus problem from massaging her feet. ChiChi does a great job at massage. She knows how to fix a problem. I recommend her, but I will say, I know the owner Jessica only hires talented masseuses, so whoever you get there will be good. Jessica massages, but only her clients from years ago. She grandfathered in older customers, but newer customers she doesn't massage. read more

My mom recently went to see Rachel and she told my mom up front that an 1.5 hour full body massage would be $90 (even though it is $80) and asked her for a $40 tip to be agreed upon before she would even take her in to give her a massage. Ridiculous. I also encountered this almost a year ago on a separate occasion when Rachel asked for more tip at the end of the massage and wouldn't take $20 tip for an $80 1.5 hour massage. She kept telling me over and over that I had to give her more. Never going to this place ever again and definitely telling everyone I know to not come to this location. I am a long time patron of Divine, and I continue to encounter the best masseuses with their varying massage techniques. The added addition of YuYu, compliments the other therapist. My shoulder and lower back issues were addressed by YuYu, that took away my pain and uncomfort. She had patience to undue my muscle knots as well. Management is always upgrading its amenities. The quality of whole experience has dropped since my last review and last visit. So much so I decided to cut my massage 10 minutes short. I thought about sticking it out (something I shouldn't ponder during what should be a relaxing hour) but wasting my time was worse than wasting my money. It started off okay, until another person (I think it was the mgr or owner) suddenly took over. She answered the phone at least 3 times, answered the door at the expense of the hour I was supposed to pay for. The massage itself was terrible. There was no harmony whatsoever. My foot massage felt so rushed. My back and leg massage felt like I was being pushed. It was so rough and messy, which was not what I came here for. LOL. She recommend that one of her experienced employee was available for my available schedule. I was not disappointed with the experienced massage that I received and appreciated that the owner and available employee's support. They did not pressure me for a larger tip than I gave. Updated review. My favorite new activity is to treat myself to massages. As any other Chinese run reflexology establishment, they usually prefer cash. And well, it's the service industry, so tip well! They are working on your body after all. I typically do the 70 min full body and feet combo($50): 50 min body and 20 min feet, but today I was feeling pretty especially lethargic so I opted for the 90 min combo($80). When I tell you Chi-chi, the new masseuse they hired has magic hands, I left feeling 100x better and immediately came here to write this review! This is my second time with chi chi and she really knows how to listen to your body needs and pivot accordingly. Recently, I've tried some places in Hollywood & Pasadena(too communal, loud and distracting) and this is still my favorite spot. It's nice having a spa place where I feel taken care of and not just another customer to fill a profit quota. I will probably try some more high end spas one day but this is my bread and butter for now. I really wanted to leave a good review because the massage was great. But when I paid the amount for the massage plus almost an 18% tip the masseuse kept telling me I had to tip her more. The amount she told me I had to tip her was 25%, and maybe that's standard, but nobody warned me. So I gave her all the cash I had and even asked if she had venmo so I can give her the extra $3 she wouldn't stop complaining about, but then she said she didn't have venmo. It was literally the worst experience and left such an awful taste in my mouth. Which is so unfortunate because like I said, prior to that exchange I wanted to leave a good review. Like if it said I had to come with a 25% tip I would have, or if I knew that was the standard I would have. I asked for Mary because she was my masseuse last time I went and liked her style but she had to run out for an emergency and therefore had to switch. I ended up getting Titi I want to say? (But reading through these reviews, it might be spelled as Chi-Chi) but she was really great. She took the time to ask what areas she should give special focus to (something I've only been asked by 2 masseuses ever lol) so I think that was really nice. She was able to get the pressure points I was hoping to be worked on! She was a bit more on hard pressure side, but I'm okay with that in hopes of relieving maximum stress lol- however, she does ask to let her know if you need her to adjust the pressure so if this is not your preference, you'd just let her know. Overall, I was more than happy with her massage style. I'm going to be asking for her more often especially if I'm looking for pain relief. I have been going here since they opened and I've never had a bad experience with masseuses. They seem to be all good, just different massaging styles. I'd recommend Chi-Chi (or Titi, not sure how to spell it) for those looking for pain relief or wanting a specific area to be focused on. The only, only downside to this that I noticed in my recent visits is that sometimes the other ladies who are not occupied with clients can be a bit chatty. Because the rooms are only doored with curtains, you can pretty much hear everything outside. They also seem to have brightened the place a little bit compared to previous years. There also seem to be more lights on and I prefer for my room to be a bit darker but that's not a huge problem for me. She has an intuitive power of pinpointing what areas need to be smoothed out and has incredible technique when walking on my back. I had willow for my first massage here today, and she was wonderful. I had a 60 minute full body massage for $50 - I tipped Willow $20 (which I don't usually tip over 20%) the fully body massage was a FULL BODY MASSAGE. No nook or cranny was left untouched. She even walked on my back and gave me hot rocks. My neck has been hurting for the longest and she made the pain go away. She made a loyal customer out of me today. She climbed on my back and straddled my head. She did not rub any knots out. This was NOT a massage at all. She even said my tip was bad when I gave her 30% for a massage I did not even enjoy. This is sort of a late review but needed to be done. I live nearby and have always heard great things. It's not my usual place but thought I'd give it a try. First impression was great. Very friendly and very clean. The issues...The floors are either tile or vinyl plank and you can hear every step in the building which was very distracting and since the rooms have no ceilings, I heard nothing but constant conversation. The massage was decent and the price was competitive but when I gave a $10 tip based on the experience, I was given a bad look and the lady said "only 10?" Big Mistake. If you don't tip well at this place they will confront you aggressively and in my case prohibit you from leaving. I went in for a 60-min foot massage which of the 60-min I stood for 40-min of the massage. I paid full price for the 60-min massage, couldn't stay the whole massage since I had to leave early for a meeting. The masseuse knew this. As I was rushing out the establishment to make it on time for meeting, the masseuse stood in front of the locked front door and demanded I leave a larger tip. I explained to her I didn't stay the whole massage so why should I leave a larger tip. We went back and forth for 5-minutes until I threaten to remove her with physical force if she didn't move from in front of the locked door. She finally moved... I returned after my meeting (which I was late to meeting) and spoke with the manager on the phone about the incident. The manager said that the masseuse was mad that the tip wasn't sufficient enough and I should have left bigger tip. I explained I didn't use her service the whole hour, paid full price. I explained that the masseuse stood in front of the door that she locked so I wouldn't leave for 5-minutes, until I was upset and that I was late for my meeting because of it. The manager responded with "well how late were you for the meeting" as if the masseuse was justified in locking me in the establishment. WORST EXPERIENCE, AVOID AT ALL COST, NO ACCOUNTABILITY, UNPROFESSIONAL, TIP 50%+. I then told the manager I want a refund for my inconvenience and being locked in establishment against my will, and if she can't give me refund I am going to the police. She let out a sigh of disgust over the phone and said let me call you back. As I sat in front of the establishment in my car, the masseuse called me back and said to come inside and get the refund.
