I literally asked THE STAFF to lower their voices as it echos throughout the QUIET ROOM multiple time! and instead of doing so, one of the desk workers who previously asked me to EXIT THE QUIET ROOM so that an employee can eat their damn lunch while I was STUDYING gave me an attitude for POLITELY asking their asses to lower their voices as we are in a library. This bozo then asks me to EXIT the Quiet Room AGAIN because she and her colleagues are UNABLE TO USE LIBRARY APPROPRIATE VOICES! I wish I could upload a recording of how loud and OBNOXIOUS they are so that those of you who see this could understand how insanely loud these Public Library working HAGS are! So again, if you actually need a quiet space to get some legitimate reading or studying done DO NOT COME TO TENAFLY PUBLIC LIBRARY! especially if you are a person of color because I am absolutely positive that if I was Caucasian that the response to me respectfully asking them to lower their voices so that I may study for an exam IN PEACE would have been received very differently. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. As long as you have the proper credentials it will take you no more than 10 minutes to get a library card. They constantly have events for kids and adults. They have brand new Blu rays,4k Blu rays,DVDs, and video games available to rent. I love the books they have for sale because I can buy cook books for $1 . Upstairs they always have books for sale. Also printers and computers are available to use. To this day, the library continues to offer a lot to the community: -books -e-Services -CDs -DVDs -magazines -printing/copying/fax services -desktop computers -reliable wifi -laptop outlets -children's section They also have children's programs and adult programs (book clubs, chair yoga, ESL classes, arts & crafts). So many resources here! I go here to pick up books for my monthly reading. If they don't have what you're looking for, the front desk will help you find another library through the BCCLS catalog or they will notify you when the book is available. It's extremely clean and organized. SPOTLESS, actually. The library is definitely one of my happy places.

Well, 45 minutes later, I was still oohing and awing at the marvelous selection of first edition books they have to offer. This is the largest selection (aside from corporate-owned Bauman's) of rare books I've seen that include the dust jacket- a collectors actual dream. It's the biggest breath of fresh air to find a rare book store owned by a woman, and to be treated like a human being. I normally get side-eyed from rare bookstore owners and some of the conversations I've had sound like: "May I see the Portrait of a Lady in the case?" "All of these books are at least $100.00 and up." ".....I know." "Do you have any Wilde?" "The book about the woman hiking alone? That's too new to be in our shop, Barnes & Noble would have it." "I'm talking about the 1800s poet." "Oh." I take it personally because while I look like a millennial who doesn't know what she's talking about, I treasure my rare books like they're my children. Sunday stayed AN EXTRA HOUR at her store while I looked and answered all of my questions that I had, never making me feel rushed or unwelcome. After selecting a first edition Fitzgerald, she wrapped it in bubble wrap for my travels back home and gave me an updated book with all of the rare book sellers in the country.

This post office is the worst one. The staff there are so rude and act like you're bothering them…read morefor doing their job. I send out a lot of packages and always ask for a receipt. Every time I do this they act like I'm bothering them for asking for a receipt. No offense but you're just standing behind a desk, your job isn't that hard. Now I'm starting to see why they are closing post offices down. The staff there should be luck they have jobs still.
