This estate agents gets points, however, for finally sending someone who actually knows something about the property out to show us round - which made a real difference. It was nice to be able to have some, if not all, our questions answered. She also came prepared with various forms, fees and we didn't feel rushed through the property either. On purely a customer service level this seemed to be one of the best estate agent experiences we've had whilst looking for a place to rent. It's just a shame that we were left standing the the rain for 10 minutes before the member of staff actually turned up to show us round.

My time as a tenant with Andrews was great. Never too intrusive, happy to assist with any queries or maintenance issues, and all in all quite a personal service. All paperwork and deposits etc were dealt with swiftly before and after the tenancy so you can trust them with confidence. I would definitely recommend them as a fantastic source for properties in the Great Barr area.

In my eternal (well, hopefully not...) quest for a) nice…read moreand b) affordable accommodation, I have stumbled across this relatively new lettings agency on the Pershore Road Their lists seem pretty good, and the rental prices are reasonable. The woman behind the desk also seemed to know her stuff, which is always reassuring, and the office walls were peppered with various certificates. Again, reassuring. She wrote out some extra properties for me which they had only just acquired, which seemed a bit more up my street, which was nice. Their administration charges seem a bit odd though: £150 per property. Which is fine if you're a group of 4 or 5 students wanting to share (which is perhaps who this agency is primarily aiming at) but if you're a single person it's pretty steep...

The service at metropolitan was fantastic the tall gentleman showed me various properties in selly park and was very helpful overall. I am now currently renting a property by metropolitan and the service is great when I had a problem with my heater I rang there maintenance company and someone come round a day later which was shocking as previous letting agency made me wait over 2 weeks. To be fair, there isn't that much to criticise or write home about - they delivered a standard estate agency service. Sarah, who I spoke to a number of times, seemed pretty on the ball, which was reassuring. Less reassuring was the fact that no-one came out and viewed the property with us - no doubt because the current tenant herself actually showed us round, but I thought that was a little strange. Although we did get a more honest and knowledgeable opinion of the property from the tenant, naturally. So, as ever, with the estate agents, it's a mixed bag from Chamberlains.

We have now moved out of the area, and are unfortunate that we no longer have midland Lettings as our estate agents. I cannot speak highly enough of Ryan, he has always been there for us, and made our entire experience a positive one. He always explained processes with patience, and always tried his very best to benefit us in any way that he could. As we have a small child and two dogs, we had some fairly specific requirements - we needed to be near a good, non-faith primary school, and we needed a big enough garden to cope with two animals that need a lot of space to roam. We were also on a tight budget. All of this should have had an estate agent pulling out their hair, but Dixons were great - finding us places, arranging viewing times that fitted in with our strange work hours (and childcare) and, ultimately, dealing with the previous owner and negotiating on our behalf. We were very happy with them and I would recommend them.
