I cannot understand the reviews that I read about this place. We went there last night. The place was crowded, but we managed to get two seats at the bar. The service was extremely friendly and prompt. Drinks and snacks covering about a 3 hour period were fairly inexpensive, especially considering that there was no cover charge. The jazz was great! The rudeness of the staff was incredible. The place seemed nice, but we never got past the front door. If you aren't friends with the owner or the crusty staff then forget it. So, watch this club come and go in a flash. We are jazz fanatics and travel to Curitiba multiple times per year, but we will never return. Goodbye, Club Dizzy! read more

If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. I called ahead of time to find out the details of the show and to see if we needed reservations. I was told just to come well before show time. We arrived at 7:45 for a 10:00 show only to find that we would only be allowed to stand! On top of that the staff was exceptionally rude to us. The club holds 180 and only 20 people were seated when we arrived. Essentially we were turned away and we saw others also turned away in a disrespectful manner. This place will close soon. Don't even bother with it! Better bars in the city. read more
