Jason was the secret ingredient to the success of our wedding. My husband and I hired him with the full lighting package to do all A/V and DJing for our wedding in Palm Springs, CA for a really fair price--Jason showed up on time, set up lights and coordinated with our event coordinator to make sure everything was in the right place. The A/V for the ceremony was perfect, everyone could hear and it was unobtrusive. The real magic though came as the sun went down and the ballroom's floor to ceiling windows no longer filled the room with light--Jason's lighting made the room come alive with color and light which was always in sync with the energy of the room. He was able to keep the night moving, introducing the mother/son dance, running the mic for our open toasts, and dropping the tracks for our grand entrance and first dance. The whole wedding party kept telling us that our wedding was hands down the most love filled and fun they'd ever attended. Jason kept the dancing going and the energy high late into the night. He tore down and cleaned up at the end of the night leaving no issues for the venue. DJ Jake is fun and all the things kids would want in a DJ. However, at times, we found him rude and overpowering. He insulted the organizers of our event multiple times in front of the guests because he took too many liberties telling the guests where to go and what to do. For instance, he kept telling guests at the tables not to go to the buffet because the tables would be excused by table number. However, that was not the case at all. And we don't even know where he got that direction from. When we told him to stop, he just kept saying, don't worry about it. He literally made up rules that didn't exist on his own, and would not take any direction. He was also insulted when the organizers wanted to make an announcements for whatever reason. He acted like it was his show and he should do all the talking and directing. However we did not hire him to the restaurants guess about when to eat or what to do. We just wanted him to play music and get the fI'm going. We will not be using him again, and we would not recommend him. read more
