Even though I don't live in NJ anymore, I still try to come back here when I can. The dentist and staff are excellent--professional, friendly, and always make me feel comfortable. One fun touch is the Spanish guitar music that plays during drill work, which actually makes cavity appointments feel a little less stressful. A great office I'm always happy to return to. read more

Preface: I like Dmitry Kucher - pleasant and calm personality. However, his receptionist is terrible (rude and zero patient/customer service) - worst ever. If the rating was only for their customer service I would give it a negative (unfortunately 1 star is lowest). However, Dr. Dmitry Kucher, seems to care about his patients and conviction with providing dental care - if the rating was solely based on Dr. Dimtry's dental care (excluding customer service) then I would be happy to give this a higher rating. However, my rating and review is low because of this terrible customer service experience. If this receptionist stays employed then I would never recommend anyone dealing with her. We've are not going back - tons of other dental practices in the area who treat you like a human being. Background: Billing and service dispute as a new patient. Worst ever, phone receptionist intentionally hung up on me when I called about my billing inquiry and rudely interrupted me several times, threatened to call police on me if I showed up in the office, insulted my competency and asked if I know anything about medical industry's standard practice of care. I only needed a cleaning and was trying to find something convenient and local. My insurance covers two free cleanings a year. Detail: When I first called for a new appointment, I explicitly informed the receptionist for a cleaning only (no interest in anything else). However, after going in for the cleaning, they billed me for both a cleaning and a comprehensive oral exam. I called to understand and to ultimately dispute the billing (for the oral exam). But the receptionist who picked up the phone was extremely defensive. I told her this is not what I asked for when I made the appointment. She said its 'standard of care practice' to provide oral exam for new patients. I was very explicit when I first called to make the appointment that I'm only interested in cleaning. She did not explicitly mention that new patient require oral exams. I told her, she should have been more transparent about their policy (nothing on their website, nor did they mention all new patients require an oral exam).The receptionist then got very defensive and told me she was going to hang-up on me. I told them if they hang-up I would go to their office to speak to them directly because I still didn't finish speaking. She said she would threaten to call the police on me if I showed up. I only wanted to go in and speak to someone in person since the receptionist has no interest or care about what I was saying. She abruptly hung-up. I called back a second time telling her to cancel my other appointment (scheduled for my spouse) - she continued to interrupt me... I ended up going into the office and spoke with Dr. Dmitry Kucher - good guy and explained the situation. He was understanding and apologized for his employee's behavior (mentions she has a very short fuse - guess she treats all his customers/patience like this). Extremely disappointed and never been threatened by anyone to have police called - especially an inquiry regarding an incidental billing charge. Overall: would never recommend this receptionist/customer service. Although Dr. Dmitry seems to be competent, he still needs to be more transparent about pricing and much better job at hiring quality employees. read more

Used to be a great place for dental procedures. They rudely dropped my plan and staff wouldn't allow me to talk to the dentist after 20 years as a client. Office staff overcharged and also refused insurance liaisons requests to talk with the dentist. Staff was not willing learn the proper procedures for filing insurance claims. read more

Dr Kucher went to a nursing home and put in a claim for dentures for my 91 year old mother, he got paid, quit abrutly no notice and got paid from Medicaid and didnt perform the service. \There is a now a Medicaid Fraud claim against him and in the process of putting in a fraud with the Consumer Affairs Dental Division for the State of NJ. How do you take the money and run from a 91 year old woman and just quit and not even notify that you will not be making the dentures!! I would stay clear of him. Don't usually bother with reviews unless it's really bad or exceptionally good. This is a case of a latter. Very clean and healthy environment, everyone is nice, polite and you never feel pressured or rushed. Unlike some doctors that I meet more and more often lately, Dr. Kucher listens without interruptions, does not display any signs of irritation and answers questions in a way that you believe that this is how he would talk to his parents - with respect and patience, always leaving a choice up to you. I had an emergency while visiting relatives in NJ, and they recommended Dr. Kucher; he stayed late to see me and did a superb job. I decided that the least I can do is to write this review. Dr. Kucher is an excellent dentist, and the DK dental hygienists, support staff/officer managers are friendly, accomodating and compassionate. I've had ongoing dental work here. The doctor is approachable, communicative and the process has been painless. Dr. Kucher and his staff are fully aware that going to the dentist is not fun, so they go the extra mile to make their customers comfortable. They offer coffee, water and tea, warm hand wraps, etc. The office environment is relaxing, with nice music, plants, sunlight, etc. I would describe it almost like a spa environment. read more

I visited this dental office a little bit over a year ago and never returned. However, I still get their desperate phone calls and voicemails to tell me to get cleaning. So I decided to post a review here after listening to their voicemail. Here is my story: I am in my 20's, always get my teeth cleaned and checked regularly, twice a year. Before I visited this office, I just got my teeth checked and cleaned six months ago, with another dentist. I've had two fillings for cavities in my life, and never had any problems with my teeth. When I went to this office, they did a cleaning and the hygienist Vicky insisted that I need a deep cleaning. I've never even heard I'd need deep cleaning in my entire life, so right away I sensed they were trying to upgrade my service, which made me incredibly uncomfortable. As Vicky was cleaning my teeth, she started to tell me the price of deep cleaning and said she recommended some fluoride whitening and anesthesia procedure for my cleaning. After cleaning my teeth for not even 5 mins, she came to a complete stop, yes, a COMPLETE STOP, and brought me to the front desk and told the lady there I REALLY need a deep cleaning and wanted her to send info to my insurance, and said in front of my face: "HER GUM IS SO SENSITIVE! I CANNOT EVEN TOUCH HER!" I was just so amused that any hygienist would say this to me. Like, excuse me? No one told you to stop, and she insisted that I am uncomfortable, even though I kept telling her to just keep going I am totally fine the WHOLE time. When Vicky left and Dr. Kucher came in, he looked at one of my old filling and said he needs to "redo" it because it's growing cavities there again. Although I was worried when he said that, I still didn't want to do it there. Then, Dr. Kucher insisted I have gingivitis, gave me a whole brochure about some products (forgot the name) and tried to sell me more treatment for gingivitis. Then he started to tell me my teeth are not "white enough" and gums are not "healthy enough" because I drink coffee. I told him I don't drink coffee at all. He said, "oh must be tea then." I don't him I don't think tea either. He then said, "oh must be alcohol." I don't him I don't drink alcohol either, he then insisted I smoke. I told him I don't smoke, then he shrugged. I then got that old filling checked up with a dentist I've been seeing, and was told my silver filling was just having a bit of discoloration. And I don't have any cavities and absolutely do not need deep cleaning or have gingivitis. Do not go here. They are scammers. One star is for the pretty environment they've got. And hey, DK group, if you are reading this - please leave me alone and stop calling me to come in for cleaning. read more

I have been to DK Dental for the last two years. I am very satisfied with the quality of care. The front desk is friendly and knows how to handle dental claims. The appointments are always available when I need it and they call to confirm with email and phone. The dentist is very professional and friendly. The dental hygienist does a good job on cleaning and always takes care to be gentle. The office waiting area has a sofa and love seat, it well lit and there are magazines ton peruse if you come early. read more

Let me start by saying- best dentist ever!!!- I've known Dr Kucher for over 10 years and his level of service with patients is incomparable to any other practice I've come across - and believe me and my family have tried many other dentists after moving away - My kids who are now grown men still remember his pain free treatments and kind - gentle -demeanor - he was the only dentist who while injecting numbing drugs you could never feel any pain - even with my root canal I would come away smiling- I would love to give him 100 stars if it were possible- so in conclusion if you're weary of dentists I implore you to try Dr Kucher you will not be disappointed- Also staff is exceptional - warm and welcoming- also I feel the 2 negative reviewers are mistaken because I would've realized in a decade that Dr Kucher was anything like they described- he and his staff do not try to scam anyone- he's extremely honest and holds his integrity high in the sky - I'm only posting after so long because these reviewers are harming his character and finger pointing baseless accusations-I hope people reading this find this review helpful read more

Haven't had a check up done in years and will say that it was the best cleaning I've had in a long time. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Place was really clean as well. I'm glad I found a dental place that is conveniently close to my job. Will be back for sure. read more

Yesterday I went to see Dr. Kucher for a filling. He was very fast which was nice and even though he was quick I was impressed by how good and comfortable the filling felt leaving his office. He took time to answer questions about TMJD and he also took time to clean my teeth since I was already in the chair- very cool for a busy working mother! He also answered questions about addressing our daughter's dental care. She is 3 1/2 years old and we need to get her to the dentist. He was patient and kind and knowledgeable about children's dentistry. I had thought I would have to take her to a pediatric dentist but I am confident that Dr. Kucher will do a good job. He also gave me a little coloring book for her so that she can learn about going to the dentist before we go. In sum- great dentist. Highly recommended. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a cleaning and exam. Dr. Kucher and his staff are wonderful. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and reasonable. He is very honest and does not recommend things just to have them done as opposed to other dentists that I have been to without dental insurance. He is knowledgeable and patient and his staff is very accommodating in scheduling. I have officially made him my dentist and was so pleased that I also changed my daughter's dentist.
