I was actually pleasantly surprised. Service Advisor Hayden was informative and prepped me on what to expect. I hate surprises. My A/C stopped working after 13 years, who would have thought. They performed diagnostics, evacuated and recharged the system at the price quoted and took less time than expected. I have some opportunities to spend a lot more money in the future, but no surprises, quality work in the time frame expected. I'm happy and would recommend.

Epic fail. I was in with my husband and sister in law to empty thier recently deceased father's…read moresafety deposit box. We walked and told an employee we needed to access our father's box. At no time did he ask any of us for ID. He asked for his debit card. My sister pulled a man's wallet from her purse and handed over her dad's card. The fellow came back and and asked if she had the key and off we went. We could have been anyone. As we were leaving my husband mentioned that his father had passed that morning and the employee said he thought we might have to sign something to close the box but by then we had already emptied it. A manager type then came out and asked my husband and his sister to sign some forms but still never once checked to see if they were who they said they were. They have laptops for customers to use to do thier banking online here instead of with a teller. It's an interesting premise but given the total lack of security we experienced I would be reluctant to use these computers to do something as sensitive as personal banking. I would be seriously worried about keyloggers.

My husband has now passed away and the powers that be at Coast Capital froze the accounts before I was even able to take in the needed paperwork and proof of his death. The only thing that they would issue me funds for was the funeral costs. I explained that the staff needed to be paid, which is a viable expense, I was told that they wouldn't pay that expense out of the business account!! It has been a very frustrating experience at a time in my life when I don't really need anymore stress added to my life circumstances. I am not impressed with Coast Capital Savings Credit Union. While I was there dealing with the representative it seemed that neither he nor his colleague had much experience with dealing with a sole proprietor estate, seems their training fell short in this area.
