The only clinic that was open in a 50 mile radius was a 24 hour hospital that had a 4 hour wait. I happen to call Pioneer Vet in Winters as the google search said they offered after hours emergency. Dr. Bullard answered the call and told me to come in. She was on her way back from a 4 hour house call to help a zebra give birth. I was about 40 minutes away, but then I had a terrible storm I was driving through so it took an hour. Dr. Bullard came to the vehicle and did the test. She said it would take 8-10 minutes. She came back about 5 minutes later and said it was indeed positive. She set up a plan to treat the puppy and gave me all the supplies I needed. She even gave me extra supplies in cases I needed to treat her brother. We were in and out within 1 hour. Dr. Bullard went above and beyond for this little puppy that was abandoned with her brother in a box. I thank Dr. Bullard and her technician that I feel saved the 2 puppies lives.
