We hired DL Design after bidding out our siding project to 8 total companies. We went with them because upon meeting Dimitriy I could tell he was a straight shooter who knew his craft very well, and I felt I could trust his company to do the job to a high quality of work. Also, during the estimation process we had questions, adjustments, and follow ups and he was always prompt to reply via email or phone call, and in my experience the customer service from the initial contact is what you get during the project itself too. Cost wise the bids we got were all over the place - their estimate felt the most realistic and included everything needed instead of telling us to cut corners to save money. I also appreciated that Dimitriy was able to ballpark the cost of repairing the dry rot (and in the end the dryrot portion of the bill was pretty close to what he expected it to be) Once work started (which started right within the timeframe he had outlined), we found the crew to be incredibly hardworking, professional, and nice. The foreman, Tim, is AMAZING. Patience of a saint with my million questions and concerns, follow through on all the little details, and worked so hard to make us happy clients. I found I could trust him 100% on the issues found, solved proposed, and felt we were in extraordinarily competent hands. Work done on the house - removal of old siding and insulation and windows, dry rot repair to framing, new insulation and moisture barrier, new plywood shear wall, new hardi lap siding, new windows, reinforcement of garage walls, new garage door installation and painting, installing new front door, painting back door, new gutters and leafguards, adding additional outlets and fixing some existing outlet issues, and subcontracting out grounding of electrical system and new electric house supply box. We ran into small issues as work progressed - nails hitting electric lines or what I thought was a water leak - they responded so quickly to each issue and worked hard to resolve and repair it as quickly as possible. I expected way more issues than we encountered and did not expect them to get fixed so quickly. To be totally honest I've only ever heard stories about how large house projects go so awry and contractors screw you over and the work is subpar and the crews are messy and loud. Totally not the case with DL design. In fact the complete opposite. 2 months after the project wrapping when I finally realized the reason our dryer wouldn't function properly was mesh installed in the dryer vent hole that shouldn't be there, they came out and removed it. Testament to their work ethic and follow through when they stand by their work when it's all paid up and they don't make any more money by fixing a small problem. I wholeheartedly recommend them - the house looks gorgeous and it creaks less and I know when it rains the water won't come in the walls anymore and it stays cooler on hot days. I cannot even begin to say enough good things about this company. We contacted DL Design Construction to get an estimate on having Hardie board siding installed. After meeting with DL Design and walking our property, we decided to add on new insulation, new fascia boards, new gutters, and soffits. The cost was amazingly reasonable for all of the products and installation that was needed. The construction crew was AMAZING. They were always extremely professional. They involved us at every decision point and notified us immediately when they spotted a potential problem. They provided us options when we had to make decisions - like replacing our back door due to rotting boards, replacing some beams that had old termite damage, and doing some electrical work that wasn't up to code; even to the nitty gritty items like the placement of our gutter downspouts and the paint colors for the existing structure that would not be covered by Hardie board. They also let us know an approximate cost for each of the decisions we made. I also appreciated that they pointed out areas of concern on work that they don't do (interior work) and advised us (on a very high level) how urgent the repair would be. They left our home SPOTLESS every night. Other than a few tools piled discretely in a corner, our house after hours never looked like a construction zone. And ALL of my plants survived! Previous construction on our home (not DL Design) left my plants trampled by workers. They paid EXTREME care to detail (e.g. touch-up paint and final walk thru) and all of the work was done to the best quality I have ever seen by a construction crew. They went above and beyond by offering to put up exterior items we (the homeowners) had taken down prior to construction (like our security screen doors) and one member of the team reinstalled our cat door for us (after I inquired if it could be done) for a VERY reasonable price considering what a beast that door was to install in the first place. They were super considerate, especially when we asked to stop construction for one day so we could host a small backyard birthday party for my daughter which was planned well in advance of us deciding to do construction. Due to pandemic restrictions, moving the party wasn't an option and we considered canceling when they offered not only to postpone work for one day, but, despite being in the middle of the most turbulent part of the project, they cleaned up the house in such a way that it had to be inconvenient for them to move large items, just to move them back the next day. The projected timeline provided at the time of signing the contract was right on target. And to show how amazing they all could be, the project was finished a week ahead of schedule. We are super sad to see this crew go and wish we could use them for all of our construction projects. Highly recommend. read more

We finally decided to have our siding redone on our 1941 house. I had around 10 or so bids come and talk us about options and pricing. DL Designs came with a very competitive offer and sold us on James Hardie siding and new windows for our home. I initially wanted to go with insulated vinyl thinking about how much this project would cost. I am so glad we decided to go with DL Designs and the James Hardie siding as it came out 10 times better than expected and the service from DL Design's crew was 10/10. DL Designs does things right. Our home is very old and and nothing is straight, but they managed to install our siding perfectly. The crews work very hard and have great attention to detail in the work they do. Each day after they were done working, they cleaned up and organized all of their tools and equipment in the backyard. The area was spotless after they left each day and I loved going out there each night to admire their work and check on progress. We have a dog as well so we really appreciated each and every nail and scrap wood being swept up each day so that he wouldn't get into anything he shouldn't. Throughout the process I had a few ideas and questions to which working with their foreman Dmitri was a breeze. He was very knowledgeable, gave great advice, very skilled work, and was a pleasure to work with. I made changes along the way and wanted a couple things in different places (things I should have planned for in the beginning) and their response was no problem and made the changes. I will also recommend this. Go with DL Designs for every part of the job, especially any structural or electrical work needed, very important. I decided to go with another electrician from a friend's referral and I regretted that quickly. They damaged the beautiful new siding and poorly installed some fixtures, but DL came back and fixed some of their mistakes making me feel a lot better. We have a 93 year old home which had layers of old siding, including wood and vinyl. The house is a large home with complicated elements, and had suffered some neglect and damage by previous owners. Four companies provided bids, all of which were listed on the James Hardie website as part of their Contractor Alliance program. We knew we wanted Hardie Board fiber cement siding, and that it needed to be done right, as a once in our lifetime home -improvement project. DL Design Construction's bid came in within range of the other three, however they were the only one that we called back for a second interview, after the initial bid. The owner, Dmitriy, patiently answered all questions. We learned that they work with regular crew, not subcontractors, and that the foreman would be on site to make sure everything was being done correctly. We were also satisfied to learn that if any questions or issues arose during the process, we would have the opportunity to have a conversation, to solve the issue, to our mutual satisfaction. As a big project, we were told it would take about 6 weeks. We were not disappointed. I can honestly this was the best crew that we've worked with, and they worked hard as a team, Monday through Friday, typically from 8 to 5 pm . The foreman, Dmitriy (not the owner) was on site most of the time, also working. The guys were all great, including the three Andre's, Daniel, Tim, Slav, Artem, Alex and Paul. Everyone was polite, and helpful, and the crew cleaned up the mess (which was significant), every single day. For the first time, this was a project that was completed when we were told it would be. In all honestly, it was one week over, but that's because we had them do some extra things (change orders), not in the initial bid. We searched for companies to get bids for our siding replacement project. We chose 2 companies with the best ratings and reviews to provide us with bids. The first company sent out a salesman and their bid fore the same scope of work was approx $10K higher than the contractor we chose. The owner of DL Design Construction came to provide us a bid. Dimitriy was kind, intelligent, proud of the product he sells and we never felt as though we were being "sold". It is for this reason that we went with DL Design Construction. Our project included all new insulation, new plywood, installation of new doors, installation of new lights and adding and installing multiple new electrical boxes. The finished product is beautiful!!! In addition to a beautiful "new house" DL Design Construction is an amazing company!!!!!!!!!!! Each employee we had contact with was kind, considerate, professional and treated us and our project with respect and pride of workmanship! One of the most impressive things was that the project was completed in less than a month which included multiple rain days where they could not work! DL Design Construction just completed replacing the siding and trim on the south and east sides of our house in Davis. The project also included replacing the insulation, installing plywood beneath the siding, and replacement of windows/sliding door. The project took a little over three weeks, a very reasonable period of time for the work. We are very pleased with the outcome and also with how the work was carried out. Given the extent of the work and the heat of summer, the disruption was minimal. For example, windows were replaced quickly and the house never became hot. The various crews appeared skilled, efficient, and pleasant; they worked together well; and they communicated well with us. When decisions were necessary, we were consulted; with this in mind (and as general advice), we always recommend that any homeowner be stubbornly proactive about concerns/questions. The jobsite was kept tidy, and the final cleanup was excellent. Because houses in our area are close together, we are certain that our health-conscious neighbors on varying (day/night) work schedules appreciated the non-smoking jobsite and absence of loud music/radios. We especially appreciated the attention to detail and, as far as we could tell, the team's adherence to James Hardie standards for installation of siding. DL Design Construction did a beautiful, detailed job with repairs to one wall on the back of our home. We had been having a siding leaking issue that was an unresolved mystery issue for over a year. DL was able to demo old siding, remove mold they found within the chimney, and reconstruct the outside of our home, including new insulation, and installing plywood, corrected flashings, sturdy James Hardie siding (comes with 30-year guarantee), and 4 new Simonton windows. DL provides a 10-year labor guarantee. Specifically, Vitaly and his team provided exemplary customer service. They were all very friendly and Vitaly went above and beyond, keeping us thoroughly informed throughout the whole process of repairing our back wall. We recently had our siding replaced with an upgrade to the original insulation. DL Design had one of the best prices for this project, after getting multiple bids, and we couldn't be happier with our choice to use this company. Dmitriy and his crew listened to all of our concerns and made adjustments as necessary throughout the project. We had them upgrade a few windows and a french door for this project. Dmitriy and his team were responsive and professional. This project took a little over two months. Each day the workers were respectful and considerate of our home. They worked diligently and made sure to clean up at the end of each day. Tim was the project manager and he was a pleasure to work with. He clearly communicated with my husband and I throughout the project. Our new siding, trim, and windows look amazing and we are happy with the results. This review is for work done for us by DL Design Construction. This work was completed in early January, 2023. Our project involved the removal of our existing siding and replacement with Hardie board siding and the replacement of all of our existing windows as well as the installation of two new windows. Plus they replaced our front door and all of the gutters. We have been in the process of remodeling various parts of our home since December 2019 and have worked with quite a few different contractors. The crew from DL Design and Construction was one of the best! All of the work was done very professionally with a great deal of attention to detail. There were a few delays due to materials but we were always kept aware of what was going on. Any time we needed a question answered, Dmitriy would always respond in a timely manner. The work crew did a fantastic job of keeping the work site cleaned up and answering any questions we might have about what they were doing. We are extremely happy with the results of this project. DL Design Construction: We have a two-story house that DL Design Construction installed new Hardie Fiber Cement Siding and Trim, new windows, including installation of a new window. The old wood exterior of our house was torn down to the studs, new insulation was installed, plywood was installed over the insulation, then Hardie moisture paper, and the Hardie Fiber Cement Siding and Trim over that. All windows, doors and vents were reinforced with metal flashing. All gutters and downspouts were painted, and a new garage door was installed. We are extremely pleased with the work they did.These young men worked very hard, efficiently, detailed and professional. The crew chief was particularly knowledgeable on how to fix any damage including reframing a window that had damage, installing a new slider and framing the opening and installing the new window. The crew cleaned up after work every day which was greatly appreciated. We are very pleased with the results of their work and are applauding ourselves in choosing this company to install our new siding. I had purchased my 85 year old duplex last year and needed to have the upstairs exterior siding replaced. I wanted to have Hardie siding installed as my home is going to be a long term rental property. In my search found DL Construction. They had great reviews and were 5 star rated. And they delivered on that rating! I signed my contract in early August and due to supply chain issues, they weren't able to start until December. The crew was friendly, nice, and hardworking. They kept my property clean the entire time. My house received new siding, new paint, several sagging beams were replaced, new gutters and a new door installed. After working many years in my profession with various contractors, I could see the quality work the crew did as they really paid attention to details and made sure the end product looked good and I was happy. If I need any work done in the future I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone else that needs a quality contractor. We hired DL Designs and are very happy with their work. This was a larger job that included residing our house with Hardie lap siding, reframing one side to move our slider, new windows, new gutters, new lights, and painting everything that wasn't covered by the siding. Their bid was lower by almost $20,000 (I should note that's before we decided to add the gutters and paint, so I have no idea how their final quote would compare to other companies). I will admit I was a little nervous the quality would reflect price, but that was not the case. The finished product is beautiful. Also, working with the team was a great experience. They were professional but more importantly friendly and considerate. I work from home and my toddler is also home with me. Whenever they had to turn off the power, they made sure it was okay in terms of my work or if my daughter was down for a nap they worked on the other side of the house. DL Design Construction - Just spent almost 4 weeks with this company and the people that work for the company as they redid the whole house in Hardie Board. Quite the intrusion, BUT I quickly add, well worth it. My husband understands construction and he said, "I've never seen such quality work." They caulked and caulked; they were able to do electric work (handy when you want to add exterior lights to a 'naked' house). If there was something that was outside of the contract, they would price it and present it for approval each day. No surprises at the end of the job. After the final inspection, one person stayed on to finish putting the gutter down pipes back, and I watch him spend a few hours inspecting the paint and doing touch ups. Plus, they cleaned up each day and even put the mats back in front of the door. I'd give them 6 out of 5 stars! read more

I am very impressed with the work DL Design did on the remodel to my halfplex and the front side for our adjoining neighbors. We chose them because they have done quality work for one of our friends and are affordable compared to other companies on the market. We had siding, insulation, weather barrier, and electrical wiring done on.
