If you are BRAND NEW selling insurance and you have never sold a piece of business its a GREAT…read morestart up place being that they assign you a "trainer" for 90 days BUT, BIG BUT here and this is the reason why i gave it TWO starts which most people wont agree with me bug the reason why I gave it such a low rating its because of the following: 1. They will start you at a 70% commission level, but this is at 4.69% per annuity contract (street level is 100% of 7%). 2. Your "trainer" will take 50% (YES FIFTY) of your commission because he/she is training you (meaning that instead of doing 70% of 4.69% =0.0469 3.28%, now is 1.64%) who makes the difference all the people about you!! YES!! This is like a pyramid. So if we are doing $1,000 target premium a year, I did ALL the work and I will make $16.415, meanwhile my trainer, the AVP, RVP and MVP and the CEO.. who didn't do anything really, they will make $43.59 3. Did I mention the average premium is $1,200 a year and most people sell between 5-10 policies a month because it takes close to 3 months to issue and you dont get a salary?? Sadly yes, you read right. Average income here is $15,000-$25,000 a year for over 40 hours of work, it takes 3 calls (if you do remotely to close a deal) and a TON of paperwork and a LOT of research 4. The learning curve here is 6 months to a year. Be ready to NOT MAKE ANY MONEY for almost a year a be belittled for not working over 40 hours a week WITH NO INCOME. 5. Management SUCKS. I was told I can make over $100,000 in the first year. A TOTAL LIE!! I went to TX on my own dime THREE times and one time to Vegas, to learn the business and to see if I can make money RIGHT NOW.. after almost MINUS $15,000 in the hole.. i gave up. Decided to leave Appreciation Financial.. and what did I get?? (The best part here is.. drumroll pleaaaassseeee) 6. Threatening emails about how I cannot sell ANY POLICIES FOR THREE YEARS, with no company I have signed contracts under AP or its affiliates, surrender of pending commissions, refusal of giving me a release, and TOTAL gaslighting from MANAGEMENT. I guess when they stop making money on you.. you dont matter??!! Do yourself a FAVOR, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM.. STAY AWAY!!!

I moved locations more inland and needed to have proof of insurance before signing my lease. Nothing was spoken about a change in policy or price increase. The following month I was charged $859. I called immediately and Dan said I would receive my money back, I never did. I followed up a week or so later as I didn't receive a refund. I received a small credit of $250 back. I was taken advantage of here, by simple business negligence. Insurance companies are to inform of price changes on insurance with a 30 day notice. I received no communication and they got a nice bonus off me!
