After our first great experience with David at DLO we decided to have him come out to take a look at replacing our furnace and air-conditioning unit original to the house 1983. David explained the difference in the units we could choose from for this size house. A quiet A/C was important to me and my boyfriend wanted all the ducts under the house replaced. Vents pipes where replaced and different duct sizes were strategically placed under the house. The air conditioning unit is so unbelievably quiet. I love it! I was in need of duct replacement which was located in the crawlspace under my home as there was low air flow in the back rooms and air leakage. I let David know that I had 10 vents in the house. We set up a meeting for the next day. David looked at the vents and said he would have a quote/estimate ready that evening. David and his crew had the ducting done in a day and a half . The crew was impressive they layed down matting to keep my floors clean and lined the rooms with plastic to make sure there wasn't a mess. The ripped out the old ducting an put in new flex ducting and some dampeners to help distribute the air flow. The air flow is great now, they cleaned up left no mess at all. Had a great experience with David at DLO. My rooftop unit was on its last legs and the furnace had completely ceased to blow hot air. I read the reviews here about David's honesty, and had him come out to have a look. He offered to try to replace the fried board--to repair it, but noted that it was a questionable choice since the whole unit was very old. It's true that the unit has been repaired by other companies 3 times in the last five years. Anyhow, he put a whole new system in for me and threw in a bunch of ducting repairs. We have been saving up and budgeting for a new furnace for the past few years. Our furnace is 27 years old and it was on its last leg. We know that changing out furnace for HVAC is a big investment so we did a lot of our own research prior moving forward with installation.  We put a project on Yelp and David was the first contracted to reach out to us.  David was on time and prompt and professional throughout the entire process.  During the estimate process David gave us several options for a replacement for our furnace.  He went ahead and checked the air conditioning as well during the estimate.  He did not pressure is to get any new equipment for the AC portion however he did recommend getting a heat pump in the future since we already has solar.  His reason is that it is more efficient and will benefit us in the long run. He gave us many options to choose from and it was on us to decide which way we wanted to go.  I did reach out to 3 other companies with different bids in the process was eye-opening.  Some of the contractors were pushing new equipment onto us such as saying we need a new air handler and a heat pump. If it wasn't pushing new equipment it was the price point.  The price the other companies quoted  us was substantially higher than DLO.  The reason I went with DLO is because he is a smaller company, the price was competitive, and we don't have to pay extra for overhead compared to the big HVAC companies. We also want to support the little guys local to our area. David shared to me that he is just starting out with his new business but has been in the field many years with experience.  He decided to run his own company and be his own boss. Overall, David has been consistent, reliable, and honest through out the process. We will have him back soon to install out heat pump. read more
