Great company with upfront pricing. Also very dependable work. They show up and finish the job when they say they will.

Wow!!! Ron sets the bar for best experience ever with a contractor. We purchased a vacation home…read morein Sunriver and walked through it together with Ron, decribing our vision and leaning on his expertise. We love that he approaches his business as a partnership with the client, offering design, material and labor options. Ron always shares the pros/cons for an informed decision and is extremely communicative so we always knew how things were tracking. The vision was delivered, including some added scope, on the agreed timeline and price structure. So unreal! Here are some specifics on our project. We decided to replace all of the flooring, build a new kitchen island, create a focal fireplace facade and paint the entire interior. Ron knew we intended for this to be a short-term rental as well so every step along the way he made recommendations of materials that would accomplish the look we wanted to achieve and also provide the durability necessary for renters. We personally wanted to dedicate several weekends towards doing some of the improvements ourselves and Ron was amazing about embracing that and working through the schedule together. During those weekends I often found new projects that slightly expanded the scope, which Ron always accommodated. Since everything is a handshake with him, there was never a mess of change order agreements; he just adjusted his work plans and reflected the new work in the billing. Working with Ron from about 200 miles away felt like we were working with a next door neighbor. He has become our friend through this process and still holds a key to our home. In fact, we recently contacted him for a small outdoor project that he readily squeezed into his already busy schedule and we are so pleased to know that piece of our home is now up to code and build to withstand the Central Oregon elements. Bravo Ron!

Ron builds with detail and thought beyond your imagination. He worked on the job when we weren't there and treated our place like it was his own. I will definitely use him again. We feel so lucky to have found him.

King's Child Construction - No clue how to install a roof

    King's Child Construction

If I could give negative stars I would. I hired King's Child to replace my metal roof. After 2…read moremonths of complete and utter nonsense I fired him. There are too many issues to list here but from flooding my house because they didn't tarp during a rainstorm, to breaking custom glass out of an antique door, measuring length incorrectly and 'patching' the metal panels, not using drip edge, valley, edge rake, leaving cigarette butts INSIDE my house, asking me to borrow tools and a ladder, the list goes on and on. My house is an old house built in 1869 and does not have typical sheathing but purlins. Casey obviously doesn't know how to measure and mark and everytime he missed the purlin with a screw, he just removed the screw leaving holes in the metal. In the 2 valleys he didn't purchase valley piaces but left the old metal down as a patch. On one side of the roof it looks like he walked across the roof and bent the metal panels. The final straw was Casey Connor getting angry and in my face when I refused to give him more money before the job was finished. He had the nerve to tell me I needed to pay him ahead of time because he had bills to pay. This kid is too immature and inexperienced to be doing any kind of construction. I contacted the State of TN about the license number he gave and it is bogus. Kings Child Construction nor Casey Connor have a license. I also called Washington County abd his business license has lapsed. I have had 3 comapies come out to see if anything can be salvaged and all 3 have said it is the worst roofing job they have ever seen. None of the metal can be salvaged because it is bent and has holes everywhere. I've filed a small claims suit against him to get all my money reutrned. Luckily, the 3 companies who inspected have written affadavits attesting to the shoddy work.

Our anger has subsided but the disappointment and regret has not…read more Chad's carpentry and plumbing skills were adequate; his electrical work was unprofessional, dangerous, and not to code (electrical wire for the fireplace fans was cut and not properly re-connected; wires were spliced behind a wall with no junction box; and wires were spliced and sandwiched between the wood base of the (off-center) hearth and directly on carpet. We hired a qualified contractor to correct these dangerous safety issues and they will attest to this. A rotted/termite-destroyed stud was not repaired or replaced. Their drywall and Christa's painting skills were sad - nails were popping out; an electrical outlet was covered; and new drywall was not sanded smooth or primed before a very thin and uneven coat of paint was sprayed on the bare drywall. We sanded and repainted every single wall ourselves. Half-way through the project, we sent an email to CDS outlining the remaining items to be completed and/or corrected. They replied, in part: "... we are not preforming up your standards ... find another contractor..." We did. We have photos and video clips of CDS's poor workmanship to backup this review.
