Unfortunately, when the person I gave them to tried to use them, we discovered there was no balance, and the PIN areas appeared to be scratched off or tampered with. The cards looked brand new, so there was no obvious way to know there might be an issue at the time of purchase. I plan to return to the store to speak with a manager and request a refund. Just a heads-up to double-check any gift cards you buy and verify the packaging before leaving the store and ask for receipts. I wouldn't recommend you buy gift cards at the store.

The person at the register was kind and greeted me when I entered but failed to provide exemplary customer service by not asking me to input my number. I could have lost $3 in savings on this trip.
