Really nice place! I was disappointed both times! We ordered jalapeño poppers and were surprised to get 2 for $8! Kinda pricey especially when we had to wait 5 min to get napkins and silverware!! We asked the bartender for them and she stood without moving for 3 min... She comes back to tell us that it shouldn't take too much longer as for she told someone else to go and get it! The next time I was standing in between 2 guys (I was there first) and she helped them first! When she was going to walk away and help a third I stopped her to tell her she hadn't helped me and she seemed pissed that I said something! Sat there with friends to see bottles, glasses, and food stacked up on the majority of tables while 2 bar backs and maybe a MGR were eating at a table and looking around! After 25 min a guy finally came by and picked up stuff after the "MGR" walked right past the stuff 10 min earlier! I just don't get this place! read more

Went on a Saturday night and got there around 11:45. The place wasn't "packed", but had plenty of patrons. Pros: prices are very reasonable, there are several different areas for people to gather (patio, tables, arcade games, bar, etc.), they have shuffleboard and 80's arcade games, no cover. Cons: nothing that stands out too much. Maybe the clientele would be the only thing--but compared to most of SA, even that's not bad. read more

Love this place have had good times and the staff is very friendly and their mix drinks are on point. Fun to play the sand toss or horse shoe with friends. Also good prices for a bar. This place started to pick up around 11, they had good music! I was pleasantly surprised. I went on a Saturday night and the dj was really good. They have tv screens and serve bar food(cheese sticks, chips and cheese dip, wings ect. ) crowd was a mix between 20 and 30 somethings. The place is roomy and spread out,the set up is pretty unique,nice and clean so are the restrooms,food looks good,but we didn't try any of the foods cause we had already ate.People there at the time was pretty laid back and we originally went there to join other friends to watch the Spurs game,they had the game on the tv screens,but the volume was turned off cause they was having some trivia question bs game going on and when the people would write there answers on a piece of paper and drop it in the DJ plastic cup the DJ would play some music(good music)and after the song would finish,the DJ will then ask another boring trivia question and this went on till the middle of the forth quarter of the Spurs vs OKC. It's was frustrating,but check this out supposedly there was a two man band getting ready to play some music and I guess he realized all the of crowd was staring at the game and would clap when Spurs made a basket so he says in his microphone:well I can't compete with the game so we are going to wait after the game is over and the crowd cheered!what a guy and that's when the bar got loud with clapping and cheering and some vulgar remarks towards the BS foul calls from the refs.Our friends tell us this bar is happening during the weekends and the crowd is pretty cool. Like to mention the outside patio is a nice set up as well and the one bartender and one waitress did there best to service the crowd and they did well. I will definitely come back to check this place out hopefully on a weekend and post a review on it. If you are military affiliated don't support this place. I was sitting at this place with my husband for about 20 minutes before I was kicked out of my seat. Someone paid the HEAD security guy money since it was packed. My husband was almost handcuff and tazed because he was asking why we were asked to leave. Once he realized we were military he abused his power. This place is a joke. He is a fat man with minimal power who hates military with his fellow brainless partners. Today was the 2nd time I visited this establishment. The 1st time was in December before the holiday break. 1st impression was good. Place was still "new", it was big, had lots of tables, good music, but they had zero wait staff. We had to order our food at the bar and continued to wait at the bar to order drinks. Keep in mind, there are 2 bars but only 1 was open with a house full of awesome folks wanting to wind down after a long work week. The lines were so long and it took forever to get served. The music was great but horribly loud and we all had to yell at each other. Food wasn't bad. Had a burger, it was good. My friend ordered appetizers and only got one order and never received the 2nd, even though she was charged for it. The lady's restroom was a mess and one of the sinks had some leftover vomit that didn't drain all the way. So gross. Even w the horrible service, long lines, music being overly loud, my friends and I decided to give this place another try today.....2 months from our last visit hopeful that they got their shit together. Well...we were wrong. Again, the music was way too loud, they had no open tables, no wait staff to be found and rude bartenders. Actually, the only open tables were left empty for the 3hrs I was there w a reserved sign. Really??? Like we couldn't sit at this empty table bc you have it reserved for people who haven't even shown up? The music kept stopping or skipping and if you were enjoying the song they were playing, well too bad bc after a few mins, they just moved to another song. My friend and I waited patiently to order a drink. She gets her order out, however, I was never asked for mine. I continued to wave someone down and I started to think I was invisible. Another girl bartender looks straight at me, sees I have no drink, however proceeds to the guys at the bar who got there after me and took all their orders. When I finally did get their attention to complain, I got nothing but blank stares and no apology. Needless to say, no tip for them. And lets discuss the restroom situation again. There are about 6-7 stalls and only 1 had toilet paper in it and one stall was overflowed probably bc they had to use the paper towels to wipe themselves with. I let the bartenders know so someone can replace the TP. I go b4 I leave and I see all the stalls w a huge ass roll of TP on the floor for us to use. Really???? Is it too hard to open up the bin and replace the TP? Needless to say, if you want to visit a place that has loud music w horrible service, dirty restrooms, rude bar staff but cheap buds, this is the place for you. The beer was cheap. With all the marketing this place does and it being in a prime location in Alamo Ranch, you'd think you would do better. I've read all the reviews on their own FB page and it's sad to see the horrible responses this place has to their own complaints and feedback. It's just sad. I honestly think any 4-5 ratings have been by the staff or family members. Visit at your own risk. Take some ear plugs while you drink cheap beer. The Doc Brown staff did respond to my review on their FB page and took no ownership of their rude staff, horrible service and dirty restrooms but turned it around on me being abusive to their staff. I agree with the first review. I'm not sure what clientele they are seeking. Our first time, the door man told my boyfriend to wear a collared shirt the next time we visit - which was fine and we respected it. Our 4th visit, there was a guy in basketball shorts visiting the bar. So we are confused what the dress code is. Some doormen wear baseball shirts, some wear all black. It's casual to some employees and guest- a dressier for other employees and guest. I guess we are confused if we will get turned away one week and not the next. They ID us one week, then not the next weekend. I find it inconsistent. We even saw children there once (even a baby in a stroller!) They play lots of good music- but I wish they played it louder and there was more room to dance. They are good when they have the dj from Cooter Browns there. he plays really good music and is funny! There's tables that you can order food- which is nice.... But the one time we got a table- noone served us- so we couldn't try the food. But the food we have seen looks yummy! This place has potential. They just need to find a clientele, theme, and find consistency. It's also new, which means clean restrooms! read more

I came in with my husband for a quick drink and possibly brunch. We sat at the empty bar top and waited for the bartender with a backwards SnapBack to help us. After 5 minutes she finally asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered a couple of drinks and she took forever. I made a comment in private about how NASCAR was not my favorite sport... I went here in the middle of the day so I can't speak on what it is like during the night. The beer selection is OK for my standard but better than most places in town. It looks really cool inside and the bartender was helpful. The shuffle board table needs some maintenance but it was still a good time. The arcade machines are a nice touch. My employees and I go to Doc Browns all the time after work for burgers and drinks. We actually never miss a Wednesday. We used to love this place, because their food and drinks are awesome and we love the people there. Unfortunately the last time we tried going last Thursday night, we were denied entrance because I have a tattoo on my wrist and one of my other coworkers has tattoos on his arms. We were actually dressed nicer than we usually are when we come directly from work. The main bouncer that we see all the time even recognized us. I'll just say that because of this incident, they have lost us as patrons because of this discrimination. read more

I came in to watch the first playoff game for the Spurs and this was my first time here. The waitress/bartender did not have a care in the world. She was the worst bartender/waitress ever! We (along with others) kept asking for the Spurs game to be put on and the volume but she kept waltzing around while we were straining our eyes to watch the first quarter on 1 of the 6 tv's. We had brunch here today and sat at the bar top. They were not too busy maybe about 3 other tables with customers. First of all the food took long to come out. Second of all the bartender was stuck handling us two plus the other tables. She was put in a shitty situation having to take care of everyone (we didn't see any other servers) however I still feel she could've been more attentive to us. Especially being right there infront of her while she makes other people's drinks. She hardly asked if we were okay but she was quick to tell us she was "sorry I'm frustrated"? It took her 30 minutes to finally make our drinks because she was more worried about her tables. The food however was good but like I said earlier took the kitchen awhile to bring it out. Great food! We ordered a basic pub burger and were surprised with how much flavor it had (brisket hamburger patty, onion right and spicy sauce). Service was a bit slow. Perhaps they're not used to having many people on a Tuesday. Really cool music (we went on a Tuesday and it was not 80s music), and it was at a good volume to where we could still converse without yelling. The staff did say that after 10pm they turn up the volume. Really cool decor, kind of shabby chic. I think we'll be coming back, just hope the service is a bit more inviting. read more

I've been here a few times and I love it. The staff is very friendly, but I have noticed that they seem to be understaffed. This morning I went for breakfast and there was only 1 bartender/server and she was working her butt off.
