Went to see Amy Grainger as I already had x rays elsewhere and wanted an ultrasound and a more thorough assessment. I wasted FIVE hours of my life with these incredibly rude, disorganized and incompetent practitioners. They will feed you this "patient choice" narrative which is absolutely not the case. They push the same conventional medicine garbage as they are loosely under the supervision of MD's that clearly do not oversee anything based on their "medical care". After being forgotten in a room twice, being told they do not have the equipment on the property that on the phone promised they had, they completely forgot to give me the supplements they push hard, forgot to give me lab slips (the insanely rude woman that checked me out w the flower tattoo on her forearm screaming at me on the way out told me it was my job to get these things from Amy) but then once my test results came in in JANUARY (it's now June) I have yet to receive them. You have an extremely emotional patient w a serious medical issue and choose to not give them results ? I called Amy once a week for 4 weeks. then called the MA a few times. NO RESPONSE. So I called Katie, office manager who I spoke w and said she'd get the results and call me right back. that was in February. This is the worst care I've ever received in my life. The day I went in for my appointment after taking off work, they said they messed up on the appointment and I had to come back the next day. I took off another day of work and they said they would call me with the results within 3-4 days. I heard nothing other than a brief email with ZERO info other than referring me another doctor that I can't get into for months. This was weeks ago. I replied to the message asking for someone to call me back. No reply. I called and left a message with the MA which are supposed to call back within a couple days and nothing. Then after another week, I left a message with a manager which was now a week ago and still nothing. I've been severely stressed about the results which I stated in my messages and no response. They should not be in the medical field when they treat patients like less than a number. Where is the compassion and care? Not to mention it's highly unprofessional. read more

I first worked with Docs Outside the Box (OTB) to obtain my Medical Marijuana Registry card and my first prescription last Fall (2019). When it came time for me to get my prescription renewed I made the required in office/in person appointment. When I called to confirm my appointment the day before it was scheduled, I was caught completely off-guard when the receptionist placed me on hold to review my file and then came back and told me I was not longer eligible. He told me that my condition of Chronic Neuropathic Pain Syndrome from a crushed tibia and ankle (17 fractures that required 5 surgeries to attempt to piece back together....although ultimately requiring my ankle to be fused) no longer qualified me for the card or prescription. WHAT??? Marijuana is no longer considered an effective treatment for PAIN I asked? He said "yes" and that I needed to either be diagnosed with PTSD or severe anxiety to qualify. I accepted the bad news for several weeks but then I went online to investigate - expecting to see the changes in the Florida legislation that I was told had occurred......But NOTHING! I then made an appointment with DocMJ after discussing this experience with them. They confirmed that there had not been any changes in the legislation and together we could only surmise that Docs OTB had run into some serious problems with the State. If you have a legitimate condition to obtain a Medical Marijuana card and prescription, I would not recommend Docs OTB. Terrible facility! Very disorganized and patient care is not number one to them. They sold my mother $300 in supplements without fully reviewing her medical history. She had severe adverse reactions to the supplements and upon calling the office she could not get a response back for several days after multiple follow up calls. The doctors refused to refund my mother for the supplements despite the terrible reactions she had. If they would've done their job and reviewed her chart better, as well as returned her phone calls to ask questions about the reactions she was having maybe she wouldn't had opened all the supplements. Now that they are open, even just a few doses missing they will not refund her. The office is not concerned about their patient satisfaction or whether they are cared for adequately. It all comes down to money for this provider and I DO NOT recommend anyone go there. Pretty disappointed. I've been searching for a new doctor to take my family and kids. One who doesn't follow the norm in protocol and allows choice. I was told on the phone by the receptionist masking was optional and made us feel very welcomed. When we got there it was like night and day. Told to wait in the car and masks were required. Understandable this is the norm with medical facilities right now, however the staff should not be telling they are alternative to the norm when that is simply false. read more

I made an appointment for 3:30 specifically around my baby's nap schedule plus we live about 40 minutes away. Days before the appointment I received a call asking if I can come early because the doctor has a large gap in her schedule. I said I will do my best to come as close to 3 as possible so the doctor waits less but can't promise or commit to it because of how far we live. The day before the appointment I got a text message confirming my " 3:00 appointment". I called the office right away and the receptionist very rudely accused me of lying and said the appointment was always at 3 ( I have multiple text messages confirming 3:30 from days before that I offered to email her). I kept trying to explain that I only ever said I will do my best but never agreed to any time change and she kept accusing me of lying and hung up the phone. I knew there is no way I would make it there at 3 ( my fear was driving for 40 minutes with baby only to be told you missed your appointment we can't take you in) so I tried to call back to just cancel the appointment all together . I called 5 times (!!) and each time was put on. 10+ minute wait ( I also have screen shots of those calls). The last time I called I said to please not put me on hold I just need to cancel and they put me on hold anyway. They not only changed my appointment time but then made it completely IMPOSSIBLE to cancel it. I sent two emails to grievances.docs@gmail.com explaining everything and including screen shots hoping a doctor will reach out to me but they never did. The doctors might be great but I will never know as I decided to go with another doctor. What made me leave this review was the fact that after all this they actually thought it was appropriate to send me a bill even though I never signed any paperwork nor was told of any fees.... If the front desk has this many issues before ever coming in I can't even imagine the headache they would cause later on with billing.. etc. read more

I'm very disappointed in this place...I'm so very sick and thought they really cared. Not speaking for all of them but some showed today that they really don't care about my well-being.....one had me in tears yesterday I heard so many good things about this place and a few days ago they were all so nice ...then the next day and today not so much. I'm really disappointed because now I feel like I don't have any place to go that cares and will treat me. They had a problem running a credit card after we left...which I've never heard of a doc office doing that after you leave which we don't have receipts for both times. The card was used someplace else with no problem. . So today I needed an iv and asked for my blood pressure to be taken... she said let get this going and I'll be right back....never laid eyes on her again!!!! she set me up with the iv and left...never did take my blood pressure...I needed it taken before the iv.she just grabbed up that 100 cash and I never saw her again...and when the iv was done I had to keep ringing the bell loud and yelling hello!!!! My mother said she wanted to pay them cash because she didn't want them to have a problem but I think I also needed a regular iv also because that one we paid 100 for didn't help at all...all this has left me with an impression that money is all that's cared about...she was so rude to me because she left a message yesterday about the card...I had no idea but had she called me as well better yet ...run the the card sometime during the 4 hours we were there and if there is a problem it could have been taken care right then instead of upsetting me who is so sick. I was recommended to this place from others due to their covid outpatient treatments. I should have known from beginning that it was not going to be good. Their front desk person Ellen treated me like ice from the beginning as I was calling asking questions about their policies and what the service we would be coming in for would provide for my sick husband. We drive an hour from Sarasota, we are left in the car for 30 minutes (they said they would come get us, never did, then finally called saying they couldn't find us after getting the make/model/color of our car), Ellen asked us to leave when we walked in because she didn't get the memo that the PA was ready. Ellen was so rude, so unfriendly and so not helpful at all. They clearly do not have it organized or together and I would doubt the quality of their care. We came in for covid treatment and were treated as an inconvenience. read more

Highly Disappointed - "You are just a number here!" was my feeling. Choosing a Doctor is not solely based on a degree. It is based on feeling heard, respected, and valued as a paying patient - (especially when you can only bill half the visit to insurance bc of their holistic side). Unfortunately, my experience has been on the extreme other end of the positive reviews here and I instead found neglect and disrespect. I will say the Doctors are impressive with their combined Eastern/Western knowledge, but only seem to care about their increased financial gains when it really comes down to it. I have been to an array of doctors across the country for my complicated issues to know when those who care about patients are true hearted, or just looking for more money. If you are like me, you can expect to spend hundreds of dollars at your first visit, and more than likely leave with hundreds of dollars in 'recommended' supplements and you may not receive a follow-up for expensively billed tests like a EKG either (unless your results are "extreme" - then they would call..... supposively...unless it's during a hurricane...then they are "too busy" direct quote). Their EEG/EKG/sonogram tech also broke protocol and medical practice norms by telling me I had an issue with my heart -- and their office did not return calls or attempt to schedule a review of my results with their actual Doctor. Can you imagine news like that without confirmation or returned calls to get an appt? (I ended up in the ER weeks later and no longer needed their specific results btw). I only received a call from their office about 8 months later when their system reminded them and saw no-one reviewed the results with me. (I was billed for it though!) They will not admit when their office was wrong and while the staff is mostly pleasant, they are unwilling to fight for what is right or make one-time adjustment (in any way, I didn't care how) to show they valued me as as a patient and keep me on board. I find this to be the opposite of what you want and expect in doctors you pay additional money to visit. I ask this, is that the type of Doctor's office you would pay extra to go to? ...An overly disappointed patient Update: when the business manager responds to a review without even doing their due diligence in reviewing the facts, it further proves what type of place they are running. Lack of detail, lack of care and lack of follow-up. Macy, if your office truly cared you would have found in your internal notes that I did attempt several times to make a follow up. No returned calls were made to me and no attempt was made to get my results. Also, I found that your tech broke the law by giving a medical diagnosis without a doctor present. Your office failed several way, please do not try put the blame on a patient to attempt to preserve your "fake"online image of caring. Actions over words. I wrote a review here regarding my first appointment at this practice. They responded to the review but never adderessed the real cause for my complaint: the lack of transparency in the first place. They wrote about a supposed attitude of mine but they were not even in the appointment and have no idea what happened in there. They rather gaslighted me in their reply making it seem my case is extraordinarily complicated and that is the reason why their physicians assistant could not deal with my case. I had called to see a doctor when I scheduled an appointment not an assistant. I feel they could be upfront with new patients who call to ask whether the work with insurance. It would be easier to explain that only the midlevel professionals will be able to bill insurance but if you want to see a physician you have to pay out of pocket. I felt mislead and spent over an hour in that clinic to be given a choice to either pay to see the physician or walk our with nothing but a co-pay. read more

Amazing staff, amazing products, and an amazing therapeutic environment. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR HOLISTIC REMEDIES AND HEART HEALTH. I am new to Saint Petersburg, from Virginia, so finding a new primary care physician has been difficult. HOWEVER I found a wonderful chiropractor here and asked if one of the PCP's prescribed controlled substances (I am diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety disorders). Sure enough Mr. T-Taylor was more than happy. So after doing blood work with them, and around 3 trips for medication follow ups and chiropractic services...I received 4 months worth of billing all at once...600$, not to mention they sent my lab work to an OUT OF NETWORK Lab company- which Is now sending me bills for 138,$ 150$, and 150$. In 4 months either due to billing negligence or improper coding for my billing - I now have over 1000$ in bills. The icing on the cake was the physician (doing so because he has asserted himself as a cardiologist first and a primary care physician second) reduced my ADHD medications (which I have been taking this dose for years now), as well as completely cutting me off 100% from my anxiety medication I have been taking for 5 years now under the preface that I must see a psychiatrist before he will continue these treatments...which would be fine...except Jumping back to the billing - I have found out that he is sending outrageous figures to my insurance company, billing them as a cardiologist instead of standard routing visits....*sigh* (I know, everybody just wants their due profits, but I am a young adult with simple needs, once a month visits, howdy doody, thanks for the medication that allows me to function as a normal individual in day to day society, and have a good day...) Long story short, read online reviews, make sure you understand the services you are going for, and make sure to clarify that you want all lab work to go to an in-network provider. I will be returning for chiropractic services, but I'm afraid I bit off more than I could chew with this PCP. read more

the doctors are fabulous. BUT ... the total experience is less than optimal. For instance, today I called to postpone an appointment next week. I was placed on hold for over 7 minutes. Educated guess: the office is probably CLOSED due to the observed July 4 holiday on July 3. But the answering system said NOTHING about being closed. I tried all of the prompts and was put on hold EVERY TIME for OVER 5 MINUTES. Not very professional. I went on their website to cancel the appointment. Watch this space ... if they get upset that I don't show up on Monday. I have had problems also with this facility's refilling prescriptions. Heaven forbid if you change the pharmacy. There is one person responsible for prescription fulfillment and that person has other things to do and rarely gets back to me to let me know my request was fulfilled. I have gone to the new pharmacy and they did not get the refill request. Suggestion: Have a dedicated receptionist to answer phones and do other chores so that the regular staff can fulfill their duties they were trained for. Moreover, when the office is closed INDICATE THAT ON YOUR AUTOMATED PHONE RESPONSE instead of placing callers ON HOLD FOREVER. Jus' sayin ... read more
